Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

In mid-air.

Chu Sheng gently beat his three pairs of wings. They were as thin as a cicada’s, yet they shimmered with faint golden divine patterns of Space.

How to describe the sensation?

Before, flying meant using brute force to beat against the air, leveraging its resistance for propulsion.

But now, it was as if the air and Space itself were actively pushing him forward. It even felt like the surrounding Space was cheering, joyfully scrambling to clear a path for him.

Just two words… Silky smooth!

A thought flashed through Chu Sheng’s mind.

Without any visible effort, not even the sound of rushing air could be heard.

WHOOSH!

The next second, he vanished from his original spot.

When he reappeared, he was already hundreds of meters away, right in front of the cavern wall!

’This is my speed now?’

Chu Sheng startled himself; he almost failed to stop and crashed headfirst into the rock.

Awesome!

Only that one word could describe how he felt right now.

Chu Sheng hovered in the air, admiring his new body. The more he looked, the more satisfied he became.

’So this is my form after the eighth complete evolution?’

Although his body had grown to nearly a meter long, he didn’t look clumsy. Instead, he exuded a kind of streamlined, violent beauty.

Most importantly, he could clearly feel that beyond the obvious boosts to his Speed and strength, his “physique”—the toughness of his physical body—had once again made a qualitative leap.

Physique, as an attribute, was not quantified by the system’s data.

But with each evolution, Chu Sheng became increasingly aware of the importance of this hidden attribute.

In fact, the enhancement to his physique during each evolution was a significant, albeit hidden, boost!

BZZZ.

With a thought from Chu Sheng.

His massive, meter-long body instantly began to shrink.

The golden patterns vanished, and the imposing exoskeleton receded.

In the blink of an eye.

He transformed back into the tiny, fingernail-sized black mosquito that looked completely harmless.

Primitive Form!

’System, stop dragging your feet! Is the data updated or not? Hurry up and let Lord Mosquito take a look!’

[Host: Chu Sheng]

[Race: Reincarnation Saint Mosquito]

[Lifespan: One thousand years]

[Bloodline: Emperor Level (One Star)]

[Qi Blood: 1,010,800 (Seventh-Grade Early Stage)]

[Mental Power: 1,010,800 (Seventh-Grade Early Stage)]

[Evolution Points: 10,800]

[Reminder: The next full evolution requires reaching a Qi Blood Value of 5,000,000 (Eighth-Grade Early Stage) and Mental Power of 5,000,000 (Eighth-Grade Early Stage), and will consume 500,000 Evolution Points. Additionally, at least one Realm must reach the Origin Realm.]

Chu Sheng sucked in a sharp breath, rubbing his two front legs together.

’Reincarnation Saint Mosquito?’

’My Race changed again?’

’This name… how should I put it?’

’It’s definitely got style. The word “Saint” seems to kick it up a notch, doesn’t it?’

’Still, it doesn’t seem as badass as my old name, Silent Extinction Divine Mosquito.’

’And what does the “Reincarnation” part mean?’

’Let’s see what’s next… One thousand years of Lifespan!’

’Holy crap.’

’In the cultivation novels I read in my past life, even those old freaks who painstakingly cultivated to the Nascent Soul stage only had a lifespan of about a thousand years, right?’

’I’m not even a year old, and I already have a lifespan that others couldn’t achieve in several lifetimes of cultivation?’

’If this were a waiting game, who could possibly outlast me?’

’As long as I don’t do anything stupid to get myself killed, I could just find a place to hibernate and still outlive all those so-called peerless prodigies!’

Of course, that was just a fleeting thought for Chu Sheng.

’Play it safe?’

’Not a chance.’

’I’ll never play it safe in this life.’

’With all this power, if I don’t go out to have some fun, stir up some trouble, and make the world tremble in fear of Lord Mosquito, then what’s the difference between me and a deadbeat?’

His gaze shifted further down the list.

’Next up, the main event! Open the Skills panel!’

[Ding! The skills panel is updating…]

[Current Skills with Levels are as follows:]

Nether Flame Insect Nest lv12, Nether Vision lv9, God-devouring Needle lv12, Soul-Bursting Flame Feather lv8, Spirit Returning and Spirit-Extinguishing Technique lv6, Nether Flame Battle Armor lv7, Monarch’s Suppression lv7, Ten Thousand Insects Substitute lv7.

Chu Sheng gave the list a quick scan.

’Hm, all as expected.’

These old Skills had all generally gained a level from this major evolution.

Their power must have increased accordingly.

Evolution Points were precious now, so he wouldn’t consider spending them to upgrade Skills. He could only let them level up automatically with his own evolutions.

[Current Skills without Levels are as follows:]

Primitive Form, Lifebound Space, Amaterasu’s Eye, Boundless Wings, Celestial Thunder Illusion, Nine Tribulations Thunder Prison, Realm-Breaking Claw, Earth Prison Technique, Wood Dragon Technique, Water Mirror Gate, Five Elements Body…

It was a long, densely packed list of skills.

Basically, every single one could be called a Divine Technique!

But Chu Sheng’s gaze was locked on the very end of the list.

There, two new words had been added, glowing with a faint silver light—

[Time Reincarnation].

“Huh?”

’It’s here! A new Skill!’

Chu Sheng hurriedly opened the skill details.

One look, and he was completely floored.

[Time Reincarnation]: A skill developed from a minor, specialized evolution upon reaching Great Success in the Time Realm. Evolved part: Eyes.

’Wait a minute, when did my Time Realm reach Great Success?’

Chu Sheng quickly checked the system logs and discovered that while he was sleeping unconsciously during his evolution, he had somehow absorbed 1,500 points of Time Realm Comprehension?

’Huh?’

’What the hell? Did the heavens see how handsome I am and decide to give me some special treatment?’

Since he couldn’t figure it out, he decided not to dwell on it.

After all, the benefits were real and he had already pocketed them.

Chu Sheng continued reading to see the skill’s specific effects.

When he saw the line of descriptive text clearly, his heart skipped a beat.

[Time Reincarnation: Upon activation, everything within a ten-meter radius of the Host (excluding the Host’s consciousness and memories) is forcibly rewound by ten seconds.]

[Cooldown: 720 hours (30 days).]

[Note: The skill’s range and rewind duration can increase as your Time Realm Comprehension grows.]

Holy fuck!

Holy fucking shit!

’It really is a time-reversal skill! Time Reincarnation… no wonder my Race changed to Reincarnation Saint Mosquito.’

’Isn’t this just too fucking awesome?’

’Everything, rewound by ten seconds?’

’Everything!’

’Doesn’t that include life and death? Even if you died within those ten seconds, it could bring you back.’

’Badass. Way too fucking badass!’

Chu Sheng was so excited that he did a dozen somersaults in mid-air.

Although the skill had a month-long cooldown, meaning he could only use it once a month, it was a true trump card, one that could create miracles!

’It’s just… the range is only ten meters?’

After calming down, Chu Sheng pondered this limitation.

’In other words, time only reverses within a ten-meter radius around me, while the world outside that ten meters continues on as normal?’

’That’s a little strange.’

’If time only reverses within ten meters, what would someone from the outside see when they look at this area?’

The rules involved would be incredibly complex, possibly even involving time paradoxes.

But… since the system provided the skill, it must have its own self-consistent underlying logic.

Looks like he would only find out when he actually used the move. As for trying it out now… better not.

After all, a thirty-day cooldown was no joke.
