Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

“Great Xia’s next contestant, enter the arena immediately! Exceeding the time limit will result in an immediate forfeit!”

Just as everyone was breathing a sigh of relief that Xiao Tian was okay, the referee’s cold, urgent voice suddenly rang out over the Beast Fighting Arena.

It turned out the second contestant from Sakura Country was already in the arena.

They showed no grief for their fallen comrade.

On the contrary, they even felt… like they’d come out ahead.

Although they had lost the previous round, they had successfully taken out one of Great Xia’s contestants, which they considered a wash.

「Inside the arena.」

The contestant from Sakura Country taking the stage was a woman.

She was a bewitching woman in a red-and-white Witch’s Robe, holding a folding fan. A faint, seductive smile played on her lips, but her eyes, like a viper’s, were fixed on the Great Xia team.

「In the Great Xia rest area.」

The atmosphere was tense.

“Dammit, I’ll go!”

Qin Feng, ever the hothead, saw the woman’s provocative gaze and immediately started to charge out.

“Wait, Qin Feng.”

Shen Yixuan grabbed him, his brow furrowed.

“Our opponent’s methods are vicious. That woman looks like she’s from the Spiritual System or Illusionary Magic System. Your direct, forceful style will put you at a disadvantage. I should…”

“There’s no need to argue.”

A clear, cold voice abruptly cut through their dispute.

Everyone froze and turned to look.

Gu Yuexi was slowly walking out.

“I’ll go.”

Gu Yuexi’s tone was placid, as casual as if she were saying, “I’ll go get a glass of water.”

And yet, it carried a certain… unquestionable finality.

“The people from Sakura Country use dirty tricks.”

Gu Yuexi’s gaze swept over the group opposite them, her eyes revealing a bone-deep disgust and cold arrogance.

“If any of you go up, you might be caught off guard and have an accident.”

She paused, lifting her chin. Her eyes, like icy pools, glinted with absolute confidence.

“But I… will absolutely not have any accidents.”

Her words hung in the air.

As soon as she said this, Qin Feng, Zhao Cheng, and the others were all stunned.

’What do you mean, *we’ll* have accidents if we go up, but *you* won’t?’

If anyone else had said that, they would have definitely thought he was just posturing.

But coming from Gu Yuexi, combined with the aura she was currently exuding—like a high and mighty Empress—

—it somehow made it impossible to even think of refuting her.

It was as if… she was speaking the absolute truth.

’How can a person be so confident?’

While everyone was still dazed, Gu Yuexi paid them no more mind. With a light tap of her toes, she drifted into the arena like a feather.

“Since Sister Gu is so confident…”

Shen Yixuan watched her back and took a deep breath.

“Then let her go first. We’ll be ready down here. If she can’t hold her ground, we’ll step in.”

It was the safest plan.

“No.”

Just then, a weak voice came from the side.

Everyone turned in surprise.

They saw Xiao Tian, lying on the ground, struggling to lift his head. His face, once filled with an arrogance that looked down on everyone, was now filled with an almost fanatical worship.

“She’ll definitely hold her ground.”

Xiao Tian gasped for breath, his eyes fixed on the inconspicuous black dot on Gu Yuexi’s shoulder, his tone firm and decisive.

“Even if she really can’t hold on…”

“With Lord Mosquito there, it’s a guaranteed win!”

“Trust me, Lord Mosquito is invincible!”

Everyone: “…”

Seeing Xiao Tian like this, everyone felt a little creeped out.

’Did the poison make him stupid or something?’

…

「In the center of the Beast Fighting Arena.」

Gu Yuexi drifted down gracefully.

Her snow-white clothes were spotless, save for the signature black dot on her shoulder—Chu Sheng, of course.

Opposite her.

The female contestant from Sakura Country in the Witch’s Robe was looking Gu Yuexi up and down.

“Oh my, has Great Xia run out of people? Sending up such a delicate little missy?”

The woman’s voice was so affected it could make your skin crawl. She lightly covered her lips with her folding fan, but a sinister glint flashed in her eyes.

“Little missy, your big sister advises you…”

’She’s gathering power.’

’She’s activating an Illusion Technique!’

Her voice was laced with a special spiritual frequency. If Gu Yuexi responded, or even made eye contact with her for more than three seconds, she would instantly fall into the Illusion Realm the woman had woven!

However, Gu Yuexi had absolutely no interest in talking to her.

She didn’t even glance at the woman’s alluring eyes.

’Noisy.’

With an indifferent gaze, Gu Yuexi brought her right index and middle fingers together and swiped them gently through the empty air.

BZZZZ—!

The familiar hum of a sword sounded.

No wasted words, no wind-up.

Sword of Realm, activate!

A translucent sword shadow, radiating a terrifyingly sharp aura, instantly condensed at Gu Yuexi’s fingertips and shot out like a meteor streaking through the night sky!

It was too fast!

Even faster than when she fought that tin can!

“What?!”

The seductive smile on the Sakura Country woman’s face instantly froze.

She never expected her opponent to be so uncivilized, attacking directly without even exchanging pleasantries!

Moreover, the speed and pressure of this sword strike made her instantly feel the fear of death!

“Defense! Thousand Illusion Sakura—”

She shrieked in terror, flicking her fan open to cast a defensive Illusion Technique.

But.

In the face of absolute power and speed, all flashy tricks were useless.

PFFT!

A soft sound.

The seemingly sturdy steel fan was pierced by the Sword Qi as if it were a thin sheet of paper.

The next thing to be pierced was the woman’s forehead.

A red dot appeared.

The woman’s voice stopped abruptly. Her eyes were wide open in death.

THUD.

Her body fell straight backward, kicking up a cloud of dust.

An instant kill.

Clean and decisive, without a hint of sloppiness.

The entire arena fell deathly silent.

Gu Yuexi didn’t even bat an eyelid, as if she had just swatted a fly.

She slowly took a step forward.

Her white robes billowed in the wind.

She raised her head, her bone-chillingly cold eyes looking straight at the remaining members of the Sakura Country team.

Her red lips parted, and she uttered a single word:

“Next.”

BOOM!

Though that single word was not spoken loudly, it struck the hearts of the Sakura Country members like a heavy hammer.

The few Sakura Country contestants, who had just been wearing sinister expressions, felt their hearts clench.

In their eyes, the young woman in white standing in the arena seemed to have transformed into an unsheathed, peerless Divine Sword!

Its brilliant edge was exposed—to touch it was death!

The stinging sensation, as if a blade was suspended right between their eyes, made them feel an instinctual fear.

“Baka! Don’t be intimidated by her aura!”

Outside the Beast Fighting Arena, the Sakura Country team leader roared in exasperation:

“She’s only a Sixth-Grade! That was a sneak attack! As long as you’re prepared, she’s a dead woman! Who’s next?!”

The team members looked at each other…

“I’ll go!”

Finally, a burly man carrying a huge Horse-Cutting Saber stepped forward.

The muscles on his face twitched; he had clearly steeled his resolve.

“I refuse to believe this little bitch can keep getting instant kills!”

He roared to bolster his own courage and charged directly into the arena.

This time, he had learned his lesson from his two previous comrades.

No trash talk, no posing, not even the slightest pause.

The moment he entered the arena, he violently raised the giant blade in his hands!

“Ninja Technique: Fog Concealment Killing Array!”

PFFFT—!!!

A huge amount of thick, white fog suddenly gushed forth from the blade of the giant saber!

The fog was extremely strange; not only was it as thick as milk, but it also spread with incredible speed.

In the blink of an eye, it had completely enveloped the entire Beast Fighting Arena.

You couldn’t see your hand in front of your face!

Furthermore, the fog could also block one’s Perception!

“Hahahaha! Let’s see how you fight now!”

The burly man’s wild laughter echoed from within the dense fog, the sound erratic and impossible to pinpoint.

“Inside my Fog Concealment Killing Array, I am the master! And you are just a blind woman!”

…

“Shameless!”

“It’s another one of these dirty tricks!”

In the stands, with their vision obscured, the audience could only see a vast expanse of white. Unable to tell what was happening inside, they erupted in curses.

Fortunately, however, this was an international competition.

The organizers immediately activated their high-tech thermal imaging scanners.

BZZZT.

The large screen above the arena flickered, and the display switched to thermal imaging mode.

On the screen, two points of light were clearly visible.

One red dot, representing Gu Yuexi, stood perfectly still.

One blue dot, representing the burly man from Sakura Country, was currently scurrying around the red dot like a rat, clearly searching for the best angle to launch a sneak attack.
