Reincarnated as a Mosquito, I Sucked the Reborn Empress to Tears

The Brown Clan’s private Secret Realm.

An ordinary mosquito was hard at “work.”

Not far from it, a pitch-black Shadow Demon Dog with a somewhat goofy look in its eyes lay on the ground, tongue lolling out, its tail wagging furiously.

This mosquito was, of course, Chu Sheng.

And what kind of work was it doing?

Sucking on Spiritual Plants, of course!

Since he’d decided to drop the act and show his hand, Chu Sheng’s methods had also become much more brutal.

With a buzz of his wings, he shot straight for the core of the Spirit Plant Garden—the High-Grade Spiritual Plant cultivation area.

The plants grown here were at a minimum Seventh-Grade, and there were even a good number of prime Eighth-Grade specimens!

’Suck! Suck them all dry!’

Chu Sheng threw caution to the wind. He descended upon these High-Tier Spiritual Plants, making a clean sweep and sucking them dry with hurricane-force speed!

’This feels so fucking good!’

The thrill of plunder was simply addictive.

Meanwhile, the system notifications in Chu Sheng’s mind rang out like a wondrous symphony, chiming nonstop.

[Ding! Evolution Points +2,000!]

[Ding! Evolution Points +1,500! Wood Realm Comprehension +200!]

[Ding! Evolution Points +3,000! Earth Realm Comprehension +500!]

…

This constant stream of notifications left Chu Sheng absolutely ecstatic.

His movements grew faster and faster, his figure leaving a trail of afterimages throughout the Spirit Plant Garden.

Wherever he passed, not a single plant was left standing.

Whether it grew in the ground, hung from a tree, or floated in the water, if it contained Spiritual Qi, it could not escape his clutches.

The Shadow Demon Dog beside him could only watch, dumbfounded.

Though its Spiritual Wisdom was not high, it was still terrified by the sheer ferocity of its mosquito master.

Time ticked by, second by second.

Although there was no sun in the Secret Realm, it still had a day-night cycle. Soon, the sky began to brighten.

Normally, Chu Sheng would have already wiped his mouth clean, made a run for it, and gone back to get some sleep.

But today, he looked at his system panel.

[Current Evolution Points: 90,910]

’Over ninety thousand!’

’I’m just a stone’s throw away from the hundred-thousand mark!’

’Just under ten thousand to go!’

’If I left now, would I even be a man… wait, no, a mosquito?’

Chu Sheng hovered in mid-air. His compound eyes darted about before locking onto the deepest part of the Spirit Plant Garden.

The area was shrouded by a pale golden barrier of light, an Array.

He could smell the invigorating fragrance from the Spiritual Qi fluctuations emanating from within, even from a great distance.

’That’s definitely the good stuff!’

Previously, to avoid triggering the Array’s alarm, Chu Sheng had always held back from going inside.

’But now that I’ve decided to be a full-on robber, why the hell should I be scared of some alarm?’

’All I have to do is suck it dry and bolt before they show up, right?’

BUZZ BUZZ! ’Fortune favors the bold. I’m doing it!’

In a flash, Chu Sheng used Instant Teleportation to appear directly before the Array’s light barrier.

He activated his Spatial Realm!

Although the Array was strong, it wasn’t nearly enough to completely block Chu Sheng and his Great Perfection Spatial Realm.

Space warped slightly, and Chu Sheng’s body passed through the light barrier without any resistance, as if sinking into water, and slipped inside.

…

Meanwhile, outside the manor, day had broken.

Several black luxury cars slowly pulled into the Brown Clan’s manor.

A car door opened, and an elderly man stepped out. He wore a well-tailored suit and had graying hair, but he was spry and full of vigor.

He was the current Patriarch of the Brown Clan, Old Brown.

Following behind him was a dejected-looking Adam.

Ever since the Martial Dao tournament ended, Adam had been in this listless, half-dead state.

He seemed to have been hit hard by his defeat in the youth martial arts tournament.

“Adam, straighten your back!”

Old Brown glanced back at his grandson and chided him with exasperation:

“What’s one failure? Although the White Eagle Empire lost, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing.”

“At least that Divine Son spot, that hot potato, has been tossed to Great Xia. It actually makes us safer.”

Old Brown said gravely as he walked toward the entrance of the Secret Realm:

“You need to understand that in this world, only the resources and wealth held in your own hands are what’s truly real.”

“This Spirit Plant Garden in the Secret Realm is one of the foundations of our Brown Clan.”

“The caretakers recently reported that some of the Spiritual Plants aren’t growing well. It seems there’s a problem with the ley lines. I brought you here today so you can learn how to manage the family’s core assets.”

“Stop moping about that woman from Great Xia all day. As long as you have power, you can have any woman you want.”

“Besides, a woman from Great Xia is not worthy of marrying into the Brown Clan… she could be a mistress, at best.”

Adam nodded numbly. Although he still felt a bit resentful, he knew his grandfather was right.

The two of them passed through multiple layers of security, including iris scans and palm print verification, before finally opening the heavy gate to the Secret Realm.

The moment they stepped inside, Old Brown’s brow furrowed.

“Strange…”

He stopped and his gaze swept around the entrance.

“What’s wrong, Grandpa?” Adam asked in confusion.

“Where’s the Shadow Dog?”

Old Brown said gravely,

“Normally, that beast would be all over me, wagging its tail, the moment I step inside. Why is it so quiet today?”

They had raised the Shadow Demon Dog from a pup. It was not just a Guardian Beast, but also the “eyes and ears” of this Secret Realm.

Its absence gave Old Brown the instinctive feeling that something was wrong.

“Maybe it’s sleeping inside?” Adam said uncertainly.

“Let’s go take a look!”

A sense of foreboding washed over Old Brown, and his pace quickened.

The two of them passed through the outer Low-Tier Spiritual Plant area.

Everything looked normal here, lush and green.

Old Brown breathed a small sigh of relief. It seemed he had just been overthinking things.

However, when they rounded a corner and entered the High-Grade Spiritual Plant Area,

they both froze in their tracks.

It was as if they had been hit by an Immobilization Technique.

The High-Tier Spiritual Plant Area, which should have been vibrant with Spiritual Qi and dazzlingly brilliant, now looked as if a swarm of locusts had passed through, as if it had been ravaged by a massive typhoon, or more accurately, as if it had just survived a nuclear blast.

Barren!

Scorched black!

Where the Eighth-Grade Dragon Blood Grass had once grown, only a patch of withered, yellowed roots remained.

The pond that once held the Seventh-Grade Profound Ice Flower was completely dry, leaving behind nothing but a pile of muck.

As far as the eye could see, there was nothing but devastation.

“This… this…”

Old Brown clutched his chest, feeling his blood pressure instantly spike to 280.

’How is this “not growing well”?’

’This is fucking divine retribution!’

“Who did this?! Who the hell did this!!!”

Old Brown let out a bloodcurdling roar, a sound so powerful it made the entire Secret Realm vibrate.

This was all money! These were the Brown Clan’s most vital assets!

Just then.

BOOM—!!!

A muffled explosion suddenly echoed from the deepest part of the Secret Realm.

That was the sound of an Array shattering!

The color instantly drained from Old Brown and Adam’s faces.

“Oh no! The core area!”

“That’s where we keep the…”

No longer caring about the losses outside, the two of them sprinted toward the deepest area like madmen.

Planted there was the Ninth-Grade Spiritual Plant that the Brown Clan had spent decades cultivating—the Celestial Essence Fruit!

That was a priceless treasure!

When the two of them frantically reached the core area, they were met with a sight they would never forget for as long as they lived.

The Defense Array, said to be able to withstand an Attack from a Ninth-Grade Powerhouse, had shattered into motes of light scattered across the ground.

And in the center of the Array, the Celestial Essence Sacred Fruit Tree, which once bore a glistening golden fruit, was now bare. Not only was the fruit gone, but the trunk itself had shriveled into a dried-out husk, its leaves littering the ground.

CLATTER!

Old Brown—a Patriarch who had weathered countless storms in his life—let the cane in his hand fall to the ground.

“AHHHHHH!!! Lockdown! Lock down the Secret Realm!!!”

Old Brown’s roar was more wretched than that of a man who had just lost his own father.

With a trembling hand, he pulled out a communicator and frantically issued his commands.

“Don’t let a single fly escape! I don’t care if you have to tear this Secret Realm apart, find that thief!!!”
