Starting Out As The God of Beasts

A heavy, breathless silence descended over the strategy chamber once more.

Across the long obsidian table, Duchess Eurenia and Duchess Alisa exchanged a swift, fleeting glance.

On the surface, both women maintained calm, indifferent expressions, their faces as smooth and motionless as carved marble.

But deep down, their hearts pounded with sharp, electric excitement.

They were being called to march beyond the locked spatial borders of Varania into the legendary Jura Eastern Continent—side by side with the Apostle of the God of Beasts himself!

To leave their regional governance behind and tread upon the expansive stage of the Ten Continents was a supreme honor that dwarfed their standard ducal duties.

King Allan cleared his throat, breaking the quiet with smooth, regal composure.

His long dark hair shifted over his shoulders as he leaned slightly toward the head of the table.

”Lord Jarden,” King Allan addressed Roy, his ruby eyes glowing with solemn resolve.

”Though the administration of Varania demands my utmost focus, the liberation of our brothers and sisters in Jura is of paramount importance to the crown.

Do you require any additional resources or forces? Shall I mobilize the Royal Guard, or assemble specialized vanguards from the outer Duchies?”

Roy shook his head slowly, his gold-flecked eyes unyielding.

”No,” Roy answered firmly. ”Duchess Eurenia and Duchess Alisa are more than enough. A large military force will draw immediate spatial detection from Kaelos City and the surrounding sects.

This mission requires stealth, speed, and absolute secrecy.”

He looked directly at the two chosen Duchesses. ”Furthermore, both Alisa and Eurenia stand at the peak of the Martial General realm.

The chaotic, mana-rich environment of Jura and the trials of active combat beyond our domain will serve as the perfect catalyst for their ascension.

If all goes well, this journey will push their boundaries, and they may even return as true Martial Lords.”

Eurenia’s eyes flashed with a cold, hungry light, while Alisa bowed her head in silent, grateful acceptance.

Roy turned his gaze toward the remaining council members—General Trojan, Chancellor Manuses, Duchess Brenda, and Duke Attaris.

”As for those remaining behind,” Roy instructed, his voice ringing with absolute authority, ”do not allow yourselves to slack in your cultivation. The era of peace inside Varania is a temporary luxury.

When the gates to the Ten Continents fully shatter, each of you must possess the strength to hold an empire.”

He then looked to King Allan and Pope Croak.

”To ensure full ideological support from the populace, I order the Royal Court and the Church of Varanus to officially broadcast the situation in Jura to the entire kingdom tomorrow.

Let the people be fully aware of the atrocities taking place beyond our walls. Flame their hearts with righteous fury, and prepare them to welcome and integrate the refugees we rescue.”

”It shall be done as you decree, Lord Jarden,” King Allan and Pope Croak answered in synchronized reverence.

With the strategic directive established, Roy rose to his feet.

Without another word, he turned his broad shoulders and swept out of the Assembly hall, leaving the Dukes, Duchesses, General Trojan, and King Allan behind to conclude their internal affairs.

With the divine mandate set, the Assembly shifted its focus to the final agenda: the appointment of the Royal Cabinet ministers.

King Allan folded his clawed hands over the obsidian table, looking at the highest nobles of the land.

His voice was calm, yet carried an unshakeable, royal weight.

”Regarding the appointments for the Ministerial posts of the Beastlighter Cabinet,” King Allan stated clearly, ”let it be known across all six Duchies that positions will be awarded strictly on the basis of individual merit, capability, and loyalty to the realm—never on bloodline, noble heritage, or ancestral prestige.”

He looked directly into the eyes of Grand Chancellor Manuses. ”Should a commoner from the refugee districts demonstrate the supreme intellect and dedication required to govern a ministry, that commoner shall be elevated to the Cabinet without hesitation.”

The room remained dead quiet.

Not a single Duke, Duchess, or General raised an objection.

Though such a policy defied centuries of traditional noble privilege, Allan was their crowned King, chosen directly by the God of Beasts.

To question the sovereign’s mandate was to question the Deity who placed him upon the throne.

After all, they were all subjects of the King.

The next morning broke over the Holy City, bringing with it a shockwave that rocked the entire kingdom.

Proclamations bearing the official gold-and-crimson seal of the Beastlighter Royal Family alongside the sacred emblem of the Church of Varanus were posted in every city square, border town, and public guild hall across the six Duchies.

High Priests and royal heralds read the decree aloud to massive, gathered crowds.

The horrific truth of the Jura Eastern Continent spread like wildfire: the systematic hunting of beastmen, the human slavers of Kaelos City, and the monstrous, cannibalistic rituals of the Glorious Mythical Sect.

The citizens of Varania erupted into a collective storm of righteous fury and deep sorrow.

Thousands flooded into Saint Jarden’s Cathedral and local chapels, falling to their knees in fervent prayer.

They prayed for the swift deliverance of their brethren suffering across the border, begging the God of Beasts to unleash His divine wrath upon the human slaughterers, while actively preparing their homes and communities to welcome the influx of rescued migrants into their embrace.

Far beyond the mortal plane, past the reach of lower mythical realms and atmospheric barriers, rested the serene, terrifying expanse of the world of divinity.

At the absolute center of this divine realm floated a majestic, continent-sized city adrift in an endless sea of slowly swirling, crimson clouds.

Thousands of modern, towering spires made of gleaming crystal and refined divine metals were scattered across the floating landmass.

Yet, despite the architectural grandeur capable of housing millions, the colossal floating metropolis was eerily desolate—inhabited by a single, supreme entity.

Deep within the heart of the city stood a colossal castle forged from solid, radiant gold.

On the high, open-air balcony overlooking the crimson expanse, a figure stood motionless.

He was draped in flawless, flowing golden garments that billowed softly in the divine wind.

His long, luminescent golden hair cascaded past his waist like liquid sunlight, framing a face of ethereal, porcelain perfection that blurred the line between mortal concepts of beauty and divine majesty.

A gentle, unreadable smile rested upon his face as his pale hand rested casually upon the carved golden balcony slab.

Tap. Tap. Tap.

Quiet, measured footsteps echoed from the marble archway behind him.

A tall figure with long black hair stepped onto the balcony.

The newcomer possessed dark crimson skin, sharp metallic traits, a pair of multicolored insect-like wings and cold, gray eyes that lacked any emotion.

The moment he entered the presence of the golden-haired entity, the crimson-skinned figure instantly dropped to both knees, slamming his forehead against the floor.

He did not dare to raise his eyes even an inch.

”I, Anaerus, humbly greet the Supreme Sun God,” the herald intoned, his head remaining lowered in absolute submission.

The Sun God slightly tilted his head, his golden hair shifting across his shoulder to reveal his porcelain skin and ethereal beauty.

His serene, radiant smile remained completely unfading as his brilliant, sun-like eyes caught the light of the crimson sky.

His voice was like a gentle, warm breeze, carrying an underlying, terrifying pressure that made the surrounding dimensional space subtly warp..

”Tell me, Anaerus...” the Sun God asked smoothly, his tone light and conversational...

”Has there been any official report from the lower mythical realms as to why Damascus, a Lesser-tier True God of the Unorthodox Faction, suddenly fell?
