Starting Out As The God of Beasts

”YOU FUCCKKING BASTARD!!”

A guttural, enraged roar tore from the throat of Damascus’s host, vibrating through the molten glass beneath their feet.

To be pierced by an incomplete god—a mere glitch in the system—was an insult that ignited the True God’s pride into an inferno.

”Insolent worm!” Damascus shrieked.

A dense, violent surge of bruised-purple divine essence erupted from his heart, instantly disintegrating the golden spear embedded in his chest.

The shockwave of expanding divine force blew outward with catastrophic pressure, forcefully repelling Roy and hurling him back into the scorched air.

In the next millisecond, Damascus vanished from sight, completely tearing through spatial distance.

He materialized directly in front of Roy’s face, his face contorted in psychotic fury as his fingers clawed outward, aiming to seize Roy’s skull and crush his divine spirit.

Roy’s instincts were faster.

His pale, gold-flecked irises flashed as he executed a precise spatial dodge, plummeting a hundred meters backward and creating distance.

Mid-fall, Roy triggered [Mindcraft] once more, launching a focused wave of psychic noise directly into Damascus’s neural pathways.

For a split second, Damascus’s hand twitched, the sudden disruption freezing the trajectory of his thought process and ruining his follow-up assault.

Damascus gritted his teeth, his gray hair whipping violently as he forced his divine focus back into alignment.

While Divine Authority of Misfortune was both his core Divine Domain and his primary authority, he was an unorthodox god belonging to the Death Faction, serving the Lord of Depravity.

He held a lethal, secondary Divine Authority.

Divine Authority of Death Seeker

Unlike standard Divine Authorities that must travel through space and contend with defensive barriers.

Divine Authority of Death Seeker became an inescapable, conceptual execution order.

It does not hit a target; it assigns a terminal state directly to the target’s existence.

The atmospheric temperature instantly plummeted below absolute zero.

A suffocating, pitch-black shroud of pure conceptual death expanded from Damascus’s body, sweeping outward for miles in a fraction of a second.

The glass desert turned pitch black; the very air lost its light, and any lingering microscopic particles of life or mana within the entire sector were instantly extinguished.

It was an unyielding decree of absolute mortality.

Damascus raised both hands, channeling his vast, purer reserves of divine essence and fusing them entirely into the black aura of Death Seeker.

A localized wave of absolute, unmitigated death condensed into a terrifying, beam-like singularity, aimed squarely at Roy’s heart to permanently sever his divine spirit.

”Die, You Damn Fake!” Damascus bellowed, releasing the apocalyptic wave.

The black wave of Death Seeker tore forward, erasing the space it traveled through.

It was not approaching Roy; it was rewriting the air, the light, and the distance between them into a single, unified decree of non-existence.

Facing the incoming conceptual extinction, Roy did not dodge.

”A divine authority which revolves around death huh?” Roy smiled, ”I was expecting one since he had the Herald of Death title in his honorifics”

”But this is quite.....intense I must say” he whispered.

He did not retreat.

For the very first time since his transmigration into this world, the golden marks across his body ignited with a blinding, celestial light.

His long golden hair floated wildly against the oppressive darkness as his irises blazed like newborn suns.

For the first time.

He tapped into his absolute origin, unleashing the supreme authority that set him apart from every standard deity in the heavens.

”I was not expecting to use this anytime soon but given this situation. I guess i don’t really have an option, do I?” Roy’s lips curled faintly.

His eyes flickered for a second.

Then he activated the dormant power with laid deep within his Divine Domain.

Divine Domain: Ruler of Beasts

The pitch-black beam of Death Seeker did not miss.

It struck true.

The absolute, unyielding decree of mortality collided directly with Roy’s chest, wrapping its conceptual execution order entirely around his divine spirit.

Damascus’s face split into a triumphant, psychotic grin as he watched the absolute darkness submerge the False God.

Then, the darkness simply... vanished.

There was no explosion. No defensive barrier breaking.

No grand struggle of colliding energy.

The beam of pure death had connected, attached itself to Roy’s form, and then dissolved into nothingness—erased so thoroughly and instantaneously that it was as if it had never existed in the universe at all.

Damascus froze.

His grin died on his face, replaced by a cold, unsettling spike of confusion.

’It connected... My authority connected! Where did the death go?!’

Before the God of Misfortune could process the conceptual impossibility of what had just occurred, Roy raised his right hand.

He didn’t chant.

He didn’t cast a spell.

He simply pointed his open palm toward Damascus.

CHOMP.

A soundless, invisible rupture tore through reality.

In a millisecond faster than thought, Damascus’s vision blurred.

The gray-haired vessel didn’t even feel the impact—he only registered the sudden, absolute void where his limbs used to be.

Both of Damascus’s arms were gone.

Severed not by a blade or energy blast, but cleanly, completely devoured up to the shoulders.

The wounds didn’t even bleed divine blood at first; the space around his shoulders was simply erased, leaving behind smooth, black conceptual voids.

Damascus staggered back, his golden eyes shrinking to the size of pinpricks.

The divine authority resting inside Divine Domain: Ruler of Beasts had finally bared its teeth.

Roy’s domain was not merely a territorial buff for monsters.

It was an apex pantheon holding three innate, absolute authorities—two of which were currently locked behind deep, inaccessible seals of his divine origin.

But the single authority he could access was more than enough to terrify the cosmos.

Innate Divine Authority: Gluttony

The absolute prerogative of the supreme predator.

It was not a defense.

It was an unquenchable, universal stomach. Space, time, elemental laws, conceptual attacks, divine essence, and even the very flesh and divinity of True Gods

Inside Roy’s domain, all things were simply prey to be consumed.

Damascus stared at his missing arms, his breath catching in his throat.

The cold, unadulterated sensation of primal terror flooded his divine consciousness.

He didn’t understand what Roy’s power was.

He couldn’t calculate it with his system logic.

He couldn’t twist it with Misfortune.

All he knew was that every single survival instinct honed over thousands of years was screaming at him simultaneously.

He saw danger.

Absolute, unmitigated danger.

Standing before him was not a False God, nor a mere glitch in the system.

Standing before him was an entity that looked at a god and saw nothing more than a meal.

For the first time since descending into the mortal plane, the vessel of Damascus began to violently shudder.
