Love Strategy: CEO He is Really Scheming！

Chapter 777: Chapter 777: Drunken Confession!

”What’s wrong? Daisy, why are you saying this?” Dawn Sutherland clearly sounded puzzled over the phone.

Daisy Grant pursed her lips, ”It’s nothing. Be careful, Aidan... And, I wish you success in both love and career.”

”Hmm.” Dawn’s voice was somewhat deep.

Daisy’s nose felt a bit sore, and she immediately said to the person on the other end of the line, ”Then I’ll hang up now, Aidan.”

”Alright.”

Just as Daisy was about to hang up, she heard a strange voice on Dawn’s side, ”Mr. Sutherland, you’re so drunk. Do you need me to call a friend to pick you up? Or shall I call a cab for you?”

”No, thank you.”

Dawn replied in a low voice, expressing his thanks.

Daisy heard the conversation on the other side clearly, her fingers tightening around the phone. ”Aidan, have you drunk too much?”

Dawn paused for about ten seconds, then two heavy-breathing words reached her, ”It’s fine.”

Hearing his hoarse and deep voice, Daisy knew he had drunk a lot. She immediately walked towards the stairs, speaking to him on the phone while doing so, ”Aidan, tell me your address, and I’ll come pick you up.”

”No need—Daisy.”

Daisy was already downstairs, changing her shoes in the hallway. She spoke firmly, ”I’ve already changed my shoes and am heading out, Aidan. Give me the address.”

There was a pause from him, ”Royal One KTV.”

”Alright, wait for me in the car; I’ll be there shortly!”

Daisy used a mobile app to call a quick ride and headed to Royal One KTV.

She quickly went down to the underground parking lot and found Dawn’s car, where Dawn was already slumped over in the passenger seat.

Daisy opened the car door and got into the passenger seat, looking at the exhausted and thinner Dawn, who had been busy with the new company’s opening. Her eyes welled up with concern.

She started the car and drove steadily, taking Dawn to his apartment.

Daisy took out the keys from her bag, opened the door, and helped Dawn into the bedroom and onto the bed.

”Aidan, you’re home safe now. I’m leaving. Goodbye, Aidan.”

While Dawn was deeply asleep, Daisy’s voice suddenly echoed in his ear, and he mistook it for a dream, hearing her farewell just like five years ago when she vanished without a trace for three days. On the third day, he received a transcontinental call from her, where she said, ”Aidan, I’ve gone abroad. I won’t be back for several years. Take care.”

Just like that, with one sentence, she truly followed Aidan Sutherland abroad for five years without returning, entirely forgetting about him in City C...

At that moment, Daisy’s voice resounded in his ears again, and the phrase ”I’m leaving, Aidan, goodbye” caused the intoxicated Dawn to feel an inexplicable panic. Instinctively, he reached out to grab Daisy’s hand, exclaiming in alarm, ”Don’t go!”

Daisy was about to leave but was suddenly stopped as Dawn grabbed her wrist.

She froze in her tracks, her whole body trembling slightly, and slowly turned back to look at him still with his eyes closed. She frowned and called softly, ”Aidan?”

Daisy’s voice appeared again, still addressing him as Aidan, causing Dawn to reveal a bitter smile, thinking it was only a dream, which is why she appeared.

Dawn’s grip tightened, afraid she might leave, and with a trembling voice, he said intermittently, ”Don’t go—could you not leave?—”

Daisy’s body shook, feeling as if she were hearing an illusion, incredulous.

Yet, Dawn’s voice came again, muddled, with bitterness spreading from his lips.

”Do you know... I’ve loved you for a long time...”

”From the moment I saw you, I... liked you.”

”Don’t leave, I will make myself stronger—shelter you from the storms—”
