Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

With this sentence, Lu Yu was momentarily stunned.

You and Qingqiu, when do you plan to get married?!

Upon hearing this, Lu Yu felt as if his waist suddenly got twisted, his eyes filled with indescribable astonishment.

Damn, Leng Qingqiu’s parents are really not playing by the book!

According to the usual script, shouldn’t Leng Huai Xin be looking down on my current status and then giving me money to leave Leng Qingqiu?

And now, what the heck is this?

Telling me to grab hold of Leng Qingqiu, if I haven’t misunderstood, is this a forced marriage proposal?

Thinking of this, Lu Yu felt a bit at a loss whether to laugh or cry. With the atmosphere set up so soul-stirring before, now this illogical question was asked, which truly left Lu Yu speechless.

Also, hearing her parents’ words, Leng Qingqiu was equally surprised, as she hadn’t thought that her parents would even ask such a question.

Seeing Lu Yu’s bewildered expression, Leng Huai Xin and Ye Siwen smiled slightly and then said, ”Lu Yu, I know this news might take you by surprise, and I know you young people value freedom. But you know, for the past five years we’ve found many boyfriends for Qingqiu, but she rejected them all. Now that she has accepted you, I think Qingqiu should be okay with you two being together.”

The words of Leng Huai Xin and Ye Siwen were full of sincerity and seriousness, not joking at all. But the more Lu Yu heard, the more it amused him, and his eyes glanced over at the deeply shocked Leng Qingqiu, with a hint of amusement.

What does it mean when cleverness leads to unexpected results!

This is what it means when cleverness leads to unexpected results!

Leng Qingqiu had originally signed a contract with him, as a clever move to use him as a shield against numerous suitors. Now it’s really funny, not only did the shield not work, but it turned into a real deal.

Even Leng Qingqiu was shocked, not expecting things to turn out this way.

”Uncle, Auntie,”

Although Lu Yu wanted to laugh a lot, he still needed to fulfill the contract signed with Leng Qingqiu. After all, he didn’t want to marry a woman as cold as an ice cube: ”You see, we’re still young, and I haven’t been with Qingqiu for too long, so isn’t it a bit too early to talk about this now?”

”Yes, Mom, isn’t this a bit too early?”

Leng Qingqiu echoed from the side, since Lu Yu’s parents were originally good friends with her parents, and in her mind, bringing Lu Yu here was just about reminiscing old times.

But she never expected that her parents would suddenly do such a thing, which really caught her off guard.

”Early? Qingqiu, as far as I know, you’re already twenty-three, right? I got married around this age, I can’t let you stay single for too long,”

Ye Siwen looked at Leng Qingqiu with a kind but firm tone: ”Moreover, I’ve introduced you to so many boyfriends and you’ve rejected them all; yet you like Lu Yu, and despite the troubles the Lu Family faced, we know Lu Yu’s character well. Since you like him, we respect your choice.”

The more Lu Yu listened to Ye Siwen’s words, the more amused he felt. This situation with Leng Qingqiu was truly ironic.

Now Leng Qingqiu really felt like going mad; the misunderstandings were making her crazy.

With a charming smile on her face, Leng Qingqiu then said, ”Mom, what are you imagining? He and I are just together for the time being; we’re still in the adaptation phase. We need to cultivate feelings before we can decide on marriage!”

”Auntie, I think Qingqiu is right, matters of the heart need some time for adjustment,” Lu Yu chimed in.

”Hmm, that sounds reasonable,”

Ye Siwen nodded, then said, ”Lu Yu, where are you staying now? I heard from Qingqiu that you just got back; you probably haven’t found a decent place to stay, right?”

”Auntie, I have a place to stay, I rented a high-end apartment, and the landlord is great, takes good care of me,”

answered Lu Yu, his words filled with laughter.

”Rented a place?”

Hearing that, Leng Huai Xin said, ”How about this? Emotional adaptation requires spending time together. We have plenty of empty rooms at our house; why don’t you move next to Qingqiu’s room?”

Ugh!

With Leng Xiuwen’s proposal, Lu Yu couldn’t hold back his laughter. Damn, this scenario has truly ended up blowing back. Leng Qingqiu wanted to use him as a shield, yet here they were, with Leng Huai Xin and his wife treating him like Qingqiu’s bona fide boyfriend!

”Dad! What are you talking about? Are you even my real dad? How can you say such things?”

Leng Qingqiu said, red-faced with embarrassment, filled with helplessness, then directly pulled Lu Yu towards the garden of the estate.

Reaching the garden, looking at the plants before them, Lu Yu was in high spirits and started to hum a little tune smugly.

”Are you feeling particularly smug?”

Watching him, Leng Qingqiu asked while her chest heaved slightly under her casual attire, making her curves very noticeable.

”Not so much smug as surprised, actually,”

Lu Yu looked at Leng Qingqiu and then said with a smile, ”Looks like your mom is hoping I’d become their son-in-law, perhaps you should think about fulfilling her wish?”

”Shut up!”

Upon hearing this, Leng Qingqiu said, ”Let me tell you, our relationship is strictly contractual and professional, with no romance involved!”

”Is that so?”

Lu Yu replied, amused.

”Of course!”

Leng Qingqiu declared.

”If we have no romantic feelings, why is your hand holding onto mine so tightly?” Lu Yu gently pointed out to Leng Qingqiu, whose hand was clasping his firmly.

Upon hearing this, Leng Qingqiu abruptly looked down to see her delicate hand gripping Lu Yu’s hand tightly, without any sign of letting go.
