Urban Supreme Evil Young Master

The next morning, inside Victory Group.

Lu Yu arrived at Victory Group early today, and instead of heading to the Security Department, he took the elevator straight to Leng Qingqiu’s office on the top floor.

Although Xia Bing’s matter has been temporarily resolved, the issue of the resignation letter is still pending. If Xia Bing really loses her job because of that resignation letter, it would indeed be a considerable nuisance.

Even though Xia Bing’s credentials and abilities are impeccable, losing a job over a fake resignation letter is really an unpleasant affair.

Upon entering Leng Qingqiu’s office, he saw that both Leng Qingqiu and Xia Bing were already seated and seemed to be chatting about something.

Seeing the scene before him, Lu Yu smiled slightly and then sat on the guest sofa. After pouring himself a glass of water, he leisurely drank while listening to the conversation between the two.

Watching Lu Yu, who clearly didn’t treat himself as an outsider, Leng Qingqiu glanced at him, then looked at Xia Bing in front of her, pushed the resignation letter forward, and said, ”Xia Bing, what’s going on here? Can you explain?”

Leng Qingqiu’s words carried an exceptionally cold tone, devoid of any emotion.

”President Leng, this resignation letter does not reflect my personal intention; it was sent over by my parents against my wishes. So, I came here specifically to explain this matter: this resignation letter is not my personal intent.”

Xia Bing spoke with words filled with apology, and as she glanced at Lu Yu beside her, recalling the events of last night, her face flushed slightly, feeling especially shy.

”Xia Bing, you’ve been at the company for quite some time. You understand the company’s policies. I’ve set aside this resignation letter for now, but do you know what it means to be absent from work for no reason for two days? How many things did I have to handle personally because of this?”

Leng Qingqiu said sternly, her beautiful face looking serious and authoritative.

Hearing Leng Qingqiu, Xia Bing nodded and said, ”President Leng, I know this time it was my fault, so I came to apologize to you and explain this resignation letter...”

”Enough.”

Hearing Xia Bing’s words, Leng Qingqiu said, ”You don’t need to say any more. You’ve explained things clearly enough. I now think you’re not suitable for the assistant position.”

Buzz!

As soon as these words came out, the atmosphere in the office decreased significantly, leaving a sense of tension in the air.

Not suitable for the assistant position—this sounds very much like the prelude to dismissing an employee.

”Hey, Leng Qingqiu, I’ve known you for five years, and you’re still the same as five years ago, aren’t you?”

Upon hearing Leng Qingqiu’s statement, Lu Yu couldn’t sit still and stood up, addressing Leng Qingqiu, ”Hasn’t Xia Bing explained her situation clearly? What you’re doing now is pointless!”

”And you, as the manager of the Security Department, first led the tardiness without reason, and now you’re absent without leave. I’ll deduct half a month’s pay from you first!”

Hearing Lu Yu’s words, Leng Qingqiu replied, her words full of the authority of a female CEO.

”Hey, Leng Qingqiu, now you’re going too far. Have you been eating gunpowder these two days? Why such a temper? First firing people, now docking pay—are you just bored?”

Hearing Leng Qingqiu’s words, Lu Yu responded, his words full of discontent.

”It’s true that there’s a pay deduction, but when did I say I was firing someone?”

Hearing Lu Yu’s reply, Leng Qingqiu responded, her words containing a tone of inquiry.

Hearing this, Lu Yu was momentarily stunned, then glanced at Xia Bing and addressed Leng Qingqiu: ”Then when you said Xia Bing wasn’t suitable for the assistant job...”

”I simply meant that Xia Bing isn’t suitable for the assistant position anymore, not that she should be dismissed.”

Seeing Lu Yu’s reaction, Leng Qingqiu explained, ”Considering Xia Bing’s special reasons, I think having her as an assistant here is indeed underusing her talents. So, I’m planning to promote her to vice president, to help me dive deeper into decision-making and execution plans, easing my workload. Do you have any objections?”

Leng Qingqiu had been considering promoting Xia Bing for a while. It’s just that she had been hesitating due to some reasons, delaying the decision.

Xia Bing’s resignation letter from a few days ago made her realize that the assistant position is indeed a waste of Xia Bing’s talents. Moreover, the company has multiple vice presidents, some with less ability than Xia Bing. This prompted her decision to elevate Xia Bing to a higher position to help solve problems.

”No objections.”

Upon hearing Leng Qingqiu’s words, Lu Yu shook his head with a smile, saying, ”Honestly, I suddenly find you a bit adorable now.”

”Flattery won’t work now.”

Hearing Lu Yu, Leng Qingqiu said, ”Considering what you just said, you’ve lost your salary for this month.”

”Doesn’t matter, dock it, dock it.”

Hearing Leng Qingqiu’s words, Lu Yu replied with a playful smile, his words filled with amusement.

He was joking; the tens of millions he made last time are still in the bank unspent, so Victory Group’s salary is inconsequential to him. Now with Leng Qingqiu docking his pay, Lu Yu was utterly indifferent.

Seeing Lu Yu’s indifferent expression, Leng Qingqiu was already accustomed to it. Lu Yu was like this five years ago, and upon seeing that, she didn’t bother saying more.

”Xia Bing, go pack up now, then head to the HR department to handle the transition paperwork. Starting tomorrow, you’ll officially become the vice president.”

Leng Qingqiu said softly, her words still serious, but there was a slight hint of a smile in her eyes.

”Thank you, President Leng. I will definitely work hard.”

Xia Bing responded, her words filled with excitement.

”Alright, you can go now.”

Hearing Xia Bing’s words, Leng Qingqiu nodded in agreement, then turned her gaze to Lu Yu and said, ”Lu Yu, stay here. I’ll need you to come to my house later. My mom wants to see you!”

Upon hearing this, Lu Yu was momentarily stunned, then a hint of helplessness appeared on his face. In his excitement, he had forgotten about this matter. He had promised Leng Qingqiu that he would accompany her to meet her mother!
