Genshin x Minecraft: Building the Temple of Virtue

Seeing the unprecedented wave of zeal ignite across the room as everyone resolved to master the new module, Ryen smiled with quiet satisfaction.

His extensive groundwork, paired with Lumine’s opportune outburst, had paid off splendidly. He had successfully guided them right into the palm of his hand.

The assembly’s enthusiasm for the Genshin Impact module had surged to an absolute peak, burning even brighter than their initial awe for the Wizardry mod.

It was an ideal outcome.

They desired divine armaments and boundless materials, did they not?

Teyvat possessed countless rare resources that were either painfully scarce or too precious to extract without damaging the ley lines.

In this realm, there were no such constraints. The veins were infinite, extraction was effortless, the purity was unmatched, and they could mine to their hearts’ content.

Unawakened Visions and Gnoses could be assembled directly on a crafting bench.

Furthermore, leveraging the game-like mechanics of this universe, their innate strength could break through mortal ceilings via talent upgrades.

Every Vision wielder present would throw their full effort into ascending their abilities, especially since this progression tapped directly into their internal power rather than relying on external gear.

They would want to forge five-star weapons.

They would want to secure full sets of legendary artifacts.

They would want to experiment with rare, miraculous items they had never laid eyes upon.

Yet to forge legendary steel, ascend intrinsic talents, and claim top-tier relics, a price had to be paid.

Compared to the staggering power gains, paying a few basic crafting items was nothing.

The real requirement lay elsewhere.

They would have to hunt the bosses!

Morax, the Raiden Shogun, Tartaglia, Barbatos, Dvalin, Barnabas, Scaramouche, Signora, Azhdaha...

They would have to farm them over and over again!

Raid groups would form on fixed rotations.

The encounters would become routine grinding loops, so frequent that the moment a Morax boss respawned into the world, a mob of allied soldiers would instantly swarm and pummel him into dust.

That was true industrious progress!

Ryen subtly pinched his own leg under the table to stop himself from laughing aloud.

Just picturing Zhongli’s stoic, dignified face as he led a party to beat down his own boss duplicate made Ryen want to dance with glee.

The Genshin Impact module would undoubtedly trigger an exponential leap in their overall combat might.

For Ryen, however, it promised an endless reservoir of entertainment in the peaceful days ahead.

The deeper Zhongli and the Archons sank into public embarrassment, the happier Ryen would be!

Zhongli pressed two fingers against his brow, picking up his quill once more to resume his notes.

”Could you elaborate on the specifics of this Genshin Impact module?” Zhongli asked in a measured cadence. ”Unusual as it may sound, its practical significance to our coalition is immense, based on your outline. I must understand the key components so we can prepare our logistics in advance.”

The leaders turned their full attention toward Ryen. Suppressing his inner amusement, Ryen cast a deeply meaningful glance back at Zhongli.

In that instant, the dark premonition lingering in Zhongli’s chest flared with sudden intensity.

”The additions introduced by this module are vast,” Ryen began, leaning back comfortably. ”Materials, weapons, armor sets, and... monsters.”

Zhongli’s quill paused mid-stroke. Though Ryen’s tone had remained perfectly smooth, Zhongli felt a sudden, inexplicable spike of dread.

Was it mere imagination?

Frowning slightly, Zhongli pushed the thought aside and waited for Ryen to continue.

Glancing at Zhongli with an inward smirk, Ryen proceeded.

”On the material side, there is very little that requires complex explanation.”

”Monster drops native to Teyvat, regional minerals, medicinal herbs, timber, and the like.”

”You already understand the principle: whatever exists across Teyvat will now generate organically throughout this world.”

”From a pure materials perspective, this module stands as a titan of industry.”

The leaders nodded in unanimous agreement.

Previous modules had introduced completely alien substances, such as the magic crystals of the Wizardry mod.

While miraculous and potent, mastering them demanded agonizingly long research. Albedo and his alchemists had expended immense time and effort just to interpret magic crystals through Teyvat’s alchemical frameworks.

Even now, they could not claim total mastery over the crystal matrix.

Projects involving large mana flasks, intended to function as perpetual autonomous power supplies, were still undergoing protracted trials with little concrete progress, aside from their reliable use in replenishing elemental reserves.

The materials brought by the Genshin Impact module were an entirely different matter. Comprehensive instruction manuals for their utilization had already been written over thousands of years.

With millennia of civilizational history behind them, how could Teyvat’s scholars fail to utilize their own native resources?

The first advantage was seamless integration. The moment these materials were extracted and shipped back across the portal, they could be deployed into active production lines without delay.

The second advantage was accessibility. Common resources like White Iron Ore and Slime Condensate, as well as ultra-rare treasures like Vajrada Amethyst and Vayuda Turquoise, could now be harvested effortlessly in limitless quantities, matching the infinite nature of this universe.

Better yet, their physical volume was astonishing. Every vein yielded solid, one-cubic-meter blocks.

A solid cubic meter of pure Vajrada Amethyst was something no jeweler or blacksmith in Teyvat had ever dared to dream of.

Third was the inherent high density of this world’s matter.

A piece of Vajrada Amethyst in Teyvat was light, scarce, and delicate to extract. A block harvested here was massive, effortless to obtain, and imbued with the physical density of the realm, far outclassing any natural crystal ever unearthed back home.

Finally, while other modules required Ryen’s detailed guidance and technical tricks to harvest raw components, the Genshin Impact module required no tutoring whatsoever.

From Ningguang down to the common rank-and-file infantryman, every person knew precisely how to mine, gather, and refine these materials.

Thousands of years of ancestral mining techniques and botanical knowledge could be applied directly, making resource extraction smoother than anything they had ever undertaken.

These four factors alone were enough for the alliance to pivot away from domestic mining in Teyvat and channel their full efforts into extracting resources here.

With stronger materials, Albedo’s research would accelerate dramatically. Cross-disciplinary projects could leap forward at a blistering pace.

Numerous theoretical experiments Albedo had mothballed due to material scarcity could finally be revived. Backed by an infinite supply of reagents, breakthrough results were virtually guaranteed.

For instance, Albedo had long sought to fuse Vayuda Turquoise with alchemical catalysts to produce native spell scrolls for Teyvat. Yet because elemental gemstones were exceptionally rare, even Liyue could never offer him an unrestricted testing budget.

Now, that limitation was gone forever.

The leaders recognized that flooding the market with once-rare materials might disrupt domestic commerce, but measured against the strategic gains, economic adjustments were a trivial concern.

As the room busily recorded notes, Ryen spoke up again.

”As I mentioned earlier, whatever exists in Teyvat exists in this module, and whatever does not exist in Teyvat will be found here as well.”

”Those unique additions will surprise you.”

”Take Elemental Steel Ingots, for example: Dendro Steel, Frostmist Steel, Blazing Steel, and the rest.”

”These are refined metal bars condensed from pure elemental forces, primarily used for advanced metallurgy and weapon forging. With a bit of research, your craftsmen will undoubtedly unlock additional applications.”

”Beyond those, there are Intertwined Fates, Acquaint Fates, Masterless Starglitter, Masterless Stardust, and Genesis Crystals.”

At the mention of the final item, Albedo’s breath hitched, his eyes igniting with rare, burning intensity as he locked onto Ryen.

”Genesis Crystals... Do they truly exist in abundance?”

Ryen smiled and nodded. ”Harvesting them presents a challenge, but scaled across the infinite expanse of this world, their supply is boundless.”

Ningguang blinked in mild surprise, glancing over. ”The MC world? Are you finally giving this realm an official name? What does ’MC’ stand for?”

Curiosity stirred around the table.

Previously, everyone had referred to the dimension with vague terms like ’this world’ or ’the land of blocks’. Ningguang had long favored ’the Realm of Mysteries’. While Ryen had always brushed the naming aside, hearing an official title lent the world a greater sense of structure.

Ryen simply offered a mysterious smile, offering no further explanation.

Ningguang did not press the matter. A name was merely a minor detail; the new resources held their true attention.

”Genesis Crystals... incredible!”

The ever-composed Chief Alchemist clenched his fists tightly, visibly trembling with excitement.

”Master, what are Genesis Crystals?” Sucrose asked softly, having never seen Albedo lose his composure like this.

Albedo took a deep, steadying breath, his voice ringing with reverence.

”They are... the supreme treasure my teacher dreamed of obtaining above all else.”

”The primordial energy crystals of the cosmos, forged at the dawn of creation.”

”According to my master, Genesis Crystals are condensed from the boundless energy that opened the universe, born within the void from the sheer potential and hope capable of igniting new stars.”

”They are the material embodiment of the world’s ultimate truth.”

Venti scratched his head, spreading his hands with a casual grin. ”That sounds rather mystical, doesn’t it? Creation crystals... isn’t that a bit of an exaggeration?”

”Not in the slightest!” Albedo replied with absolute conviction, shaking his head.

”My master spent her life pursuing Genesis Crystals. Though she never held one, she uncovered records dating back to eras far older than the Primordial One.”

”It is a universal catalyst of infinite potential. Whatever application it is channeled into, it elevates that action to its absolute theoretical ceiling.”

”Everything! Be it ascending personal power, serving as the core catalyst in alchemical fusion, or being hammered into the matrix of divine armaments.”

”A Genesis Crystal acts as the ultimate universal agent, maximizing the efficacy of any process to its utmost limit.”

Seeing the bewildered expressions across the table, Albedo paused, searching for a tangible comparison.

”To put it simply, it serves as an energy catalyst of absolute order. Take Klee’s Jumpy Dumpty, for instance...”

”If a Genesis Crystal were properly integrated with the correct alchemical reagents, I could construct a Jumpy Dumpty whose destructive yield rivals a strategic nuclear warhead.”

A collective gasp swept through the hall.

The true majesty of Genesis Crystals finally clicked in their minds.

”Genesis Crystals are the conceptual anchors of primordial creation,” Albedo continued, his knuckles whitening as he fought to contain his awe.

”Whatever feat seems impossible becomes entirely achievable in their presence.”

”I once doubted whether such relics truly existed, but now...”

Albedo stared down at his hands, his voice vibrating with raw passion.

”My master’s ultimate ambition is finally within reach!”

”If I can decipher even a tenth of the secrets locked within a Genesis Crystal, we will not merely possess the means to seal the Heavenly Principles; we could use their power to forge a new order entirely!”

”It is the bedrock of creation, standing above all things in Teyvat!”

”Life, the cosmos... all sprung from this very spark!”
