Genshin x Minecraft: Building the Temple of Virtue

The leaders stared at one another across the long conference table, exchanging blank, hesitant glances. Every person in the hall quietly wondered if their ears had played an elaborate trick on them.

Yet seeing Yae Miko hiding behind Ryen’s back, trembling with breathless, silent laughter as she clutched his coat, confirmed that none of them had misheard.

Zhongli pressed two fingers against his brow, remaining quiet for a long moment before letting out an uncharacteristically strained breath.

”Ryen... this module of yours...”

”Genshin Impact!”

”No, what I mean to ask is, this custom selection...”

”Its name is Genshin Impact!”

”Allow me to finish my sentence. I am inquiring about the nature of this...”

”Whether you finish your sentence or not, it is called Genshin Impact!”

Zhongli’s dignified composure cracked. Letting out a sharp huff, he crossed his arms, leaning back in his chair with an irritated frown and refusing to speak another word.

Venti scratched his head, leaning forward over the table with a deeply conflicted expression.

”This Genshin Impact module of yours... is it a respectable, legitimate Genshin?”

”What kind of question is that?” Ryen rolled his eyes. ”Are you a respectable, legitimate allogene?”

”Of course I am not! I am a wind spirit. You know that perfectly well!”

Ryen’s left eyelid twitched. ”Just tell me: are you a native being of Teyvat or not?”

”I am not a mortal human of Teyvat, I am a god of Teyvat.”

Looking at Venti’s utterly innocent, wide-eyed expression, a vein popped on Ryen’s forehead.

”I am asking if you are a genuine, legitimate living entity born of Teyvat!”

”Without a doubt! Genuine to the absolute core!” Venti puffed out his chest with proud theatrical flair.

Ryen spread his hands. ”Fine! If you are a genuine being of Teyvat, then this module is a genuine, legitimate Teyvat Genshin Impact module.”

”Incorrect. Looking at Venti from any conceivable angle, there is nothing respectable or legitimate about him,” Diluc remarked in a cool, flat tone, sliding a verbal dagger directly between Venti’s ribs.

Ryen rubbed his temples, rapping his knuckles firmly against the table.

”Setting aside whether Venti is respectable or not! My Genshin Impact module is entirely legitimate!”

”Wait, why are we even arguing about this? What matters is that our second custom selection is called Genshin Impact!”

The room fell into an awkward, heavy silence.

Genshin Impact...

As a mod?

To put it in raw, unvarnished terms: a Teyvat Module.

What manner of absurd concept was this?

One second ago, Teyvat was their cherished ancestral home, the very foundation of their mortal existence.

The next second, their entire civilization had been packaged into an add-on module for this block universe.

Even in a realm known for breaking logic, this crossed into utter surrealism.

”This Genshin Impact module...” Makoto pressed her lips together, attempting to reframe the phrasing. ”This new custom module...”

”I want to hear you say its proper name: Genshin Impact!” Ryen locked his eyes onto her, refusing to let her slide past it.

A faint pout appeared on Makoto’s lips, her voice dropping into a bashful murmur. ”I cannot bring myself to say it out loud...”

”What is so difficult about it? Repeat after me: Genshin Impact module!”

”The custom module...”

”Genshin! Genshin! Genshin Impact module!”

”The cus...”

”If you say ’custom module’ one more time, I will pull you over my knee right here!”

Hearing his open threat, Makoto’s cheeks flushed crimson. Lowering her gaze in sheepish defeat, she mumbled softly, ”Gen... Genshin Impact module.”

”There, was that so hard?” Ryen gave a satisfied nod, sweeping his gaze across the rest of the table. ”Does anyone else require pronunciation corrections?”

Every head at the table instantly snapped away, studiously avoiding eye contact.

Ryen suppressed an inward chuckle. He understood their psychological turmoil completely.

Teyvat was their ancestral homeland, and several people sitting in this room were literal Vision wielders, allogenes, the very definition of the term.

Suddenly, the world had turned upside down.

Their homeland had become a data package, and their title had become the name on the box.

A civilization that had developed across tens of thousands of years, spanning the primordial mythos, the Seven Dragon Sovereigns, the Moon Sisters, and the Archon Wars, had been reduced to an optional add-on that could be loaded with a single click.

Accepting that reality without a trace of cognitive dissonance was impossible.

Behind him, Yae Miko had completely collapsed against his shoulder, clutching his waist to keep from falling off her chair as quiet, breathless giggles escaped her lips.

In her eyes, today was proving to be the most delightful day of the year.

Ryen had not even dropped the bombshell that Zhongli and the Archons were classified as world bosses within the module. If the scene was already this entertaining, what glorious chaos would unfold when the truth came out?

Miko was already calculating whether to commission a brand-new light novel series at Yae Publishing House.

The title was obvious: Reincarnated as an Archon in Teyvat, Only to Become a Farmable Mob Boss in Another World!

It would sell out across all Seven Nations!

Xingqiu would write the prose, Albedo would illustrate the covers, and Yae Publishing House would oversee universal distribution. She would ensure the Archons’ ultimate embarrassment echoed across every corner of Teyvat!

Breaking the silence, Makoto turned an indignant glare toward the fox envoy. ”Miko! You knew about this long before we sat down, didn’t you?”

Miko forced her expression into an innocent pout, though her violet eyes sparkled with mischief. ”My, how can you level such unfair accusations against me? What my darling chooses to install is entirely his sovereign prerogative. I merely happened to learn of it a tiny bit earlier than the rest.”

”Besides, is this module not magnificent? It transposes the entirety of Teyvat into this world. You know every inch of your homeland like the back of your hand. Developing this system will be infinitely smoother than fumbling through foreign arcana, won’t it?”

Makoto’s brow furrowed in mild conflict. ”Logically speaking, that is true, but... Teyvat is our home...”

”Do not worry yourself over it. You will grow used to the idea soon enough,” Ryen interjected smoothly. ”This block universe is boundless. Accommodating a single Teyvat is effortless. Are you suggesting my world lacks the capacity?”

”If the Imaginary Tree can support the world of Teyvat, why shouldn’t my realm host the Genshin Impact module?”

Faced with Ryen’s shameless counter-logic, the room found itself thoroughly cornered.

Zhongli let out a long breath, massaging his temples. ”Let us return to practical matters. What does this module entail? Does it simply introduce our elemental combat systems into the engine?”

”You are thinking too small,” Ryen replied, waving his hand. ”Your vision is far too narrow.”

”The Genshin Impact module is, for all practical purposes, the Teyvat Module.”

”It encompasses not only Vision wielders, but every god and Archon sitting at this table as well.”

An instinctive, foreboding chill ran down Zhongli’s spine. ”For example?”

Ryen raised an eyebrow, a wide grin spreading across his face. ”For example... whatever resources exist within Teyvat will now generate organically throughout this world.”

”Visions, Gnoses, White Iron, Hilichurls, Slimes, Glaze Lilies, Whopperflower Nectar, Primogems, Elemental Reactions, Mora...”

”Everything that exists in Teyvat will exist here.”

”And things that do not exist in Teyvat will be found here as well.”

”You can view this module as an alternate, infinite manifestation of your homeland.”

”Once the Genshin Impact module finishes loading, this reality will transform into a boundless, procedural mirror of Teyvat. Aside from the absence of preexisting mortal cities, it is virtually an infinite continent of your native resources.”

”Look at it from another tactical angle,” Ryen explained, leaning forward.

”Teyvat has developed for millennia, and its surface mineral veins have been heavily picked over, correct?”

”Your scholars and miners understand Teyvat’s rare materials better than anyone alive. You possess exhaustive archives cataloging every ore, flora, and biological drop.”

”Many of those materials are exceedingly scarce in your homeland, requiring strict conservation and rationed extraction.”

”Yet those very resources are foundational to national development, whether for forging armaments or brewing alchemical draughts.”

”With this module active, you can extract those exact materials right here without restriction.”

”You already know how effortless resource gathering is in this world. Armed with your intrinsic knowledge of Teyvat, developing this module will be child’s play.”

”It will be far more intuitive for your people than mastering More Enchantments.”

”Whatever your domestic industries lack, simply draft a manifest and mine it here in bulk. Is that not vastly superior to rationing scraps back home?”

”Furthermore, consider the physical density of this reality: every resource generates as a full, solid cubic meter block.”

”In Teyvat, where on earth could you ever harvest a solid one-cubic-meter block of Electro Crystal, Magical Crystal Ore, or Crystal Marrow?”

The leaders fell into thoughtful, contemplative silence. Once they stripped away the emotional shock of their homeland being labeled a module, the system resolved into a paradise of pure, unadulterated resource abundance.

Ryen was not exaggerating.

As natives of Teyvat, they understood the properties of these materials far better than him. When it came to refining and utilizing the harvest, their domestic craftsmen would outpace anyone.

From every practical standpoint, the Genshin Impact module was an extraordinarily potent, tailored asset.

It offered unmatched convenience backed by staggering logistical power.

Ryen gave a satisfied nod.

The decision had already been finalized, and even if they had protested, the installation would have proceeded regardless. Still, willing cooperation yielded far better results.

Having Xiao eagerly lead strike teams to farm the Morax world boss on a weekly rotation would be infinitely more entertaining than forcing him at swordpoint.

Upending the natural order was an art form Ryen appreciated deeply.

Shifting his posture, Ryen took on a serious tone.

”Beyond raw ores, the Genshin Impact module introduces legendary artifacts and your native five-star armaments.”

”Take Hu Tao’s Staff of Homa, for instance. With proper crafting infrastructure, we can put a Staff of Homa into the hands of every single soldier.”

”Xiao’s Primordial Jade Winged-Spear, Ayaka’s Mistsplitter Reforged...”

”All of these signature weapons exist within the module’s crafting matrix. Would you truly turn down the chance to wield the finest legendary arms of your home realm?”

”Diluc, I recall you have been eyeing the Wolf’s Gravestone for years, haven’t you?”

”Jean, would you turn down an armory stocked with Aquila Favonia?”

”Nilou, wouldn’t you love to hold the Key of Khaj-Nisut?”

A collective ripple of longing passed through the room.

While the alliance currently fielded weapons that technically surpassed divine relics, their native legendary armaments remained the romantic ideal of their martial careers. Even with an Advanced casting staff resting at his hip, Diluc’s desire for the Wolf’s Gravestone had never waned for a single day.

”And do not forget: within this world, those legendary weapons can be enchanted,” Ryen added, letting the words hang in the air. ”Coincidentally, we just introduced the More Enchantments module.”

”Consider what happens when a native Teyvat five-star weapon, retaining the massive physical density and structural weight of this reality, is engraved with environmental and runic enchantments before being carried back into Teyvat.”

”What heights of destructive power will those blades reach?”

Lumine slammed both palms flat against the wooden table, her golden eyes blazing with absolute conviction.

”Say no more! Developing the Genshin Impact module is our sacred, non-negotiable duty!”

Visions of dual-wielding Mistsplitter Reforged in her left hand and the Musou no Hitotachi in her right flashed through her mind, making her practically salivate. While Ryen had gifted her numerous powerful tools, raw diamond swords lacked the sheer, breathtaking aesthetics of native divine steel.

Ryen stifled a chuckle, pressing the advantage.

”Beyond armaments, there are complete artifact sets. In Teyvat, securing a full set of pristine golden artifacts is nearly impossible, often taking years of dangerous exploration.”

”With this module installed, issuing complete sets of five-star artifacts to every frontline combatant is entirely achievable. More importantly, those artifacts can also receive custom enchantments.”

”The cumulative set bonuses provide tremendous passive amplification: boosting elemental mastery, scaling raw physical trauma, and magnifying defensive shields. Best of all, acquiring them follows standard crafting and farming loops.”

”I genuinely cannot fathom a single reason why anyone here would refuse this module.”

”Even if you feel no personal need for the gear, this module allows us to mass-produce unawakened Visions on an industrial assembly line.”

”Tell me: would you turn down the chance to march a standing army of tens of thousands of Vision wielders across the battlefield?”

That final statement dismantled the last lingering traces of hesitation in the hall.

The leaders exchanged sharp, knowing glances across the table.

The matter was settled.

The Genshin Impact module was theirs.
