Genshin x Minecraft: Building the Temple of Virtue

A solid cubic meter of pure mineral.

The sheer scale of the concept bordered on intoxicating bliss.

A brilliant, radiant light flared within Ningguang’s eyes, an expression of joy unlike anything she had ever displayed before.

”If it adheres to the immutable physics of this realm... a solid cubic meter of raw ore...”

Her voice trembled with rare, breathless excitement, faltering as she struggled to frame the next thought.

Within the geometry of the block world, a cubic meter was an absolute, uninterrupted volume of solid matter.

To take a prominent example: Magical Crystal Chunks were exceptionally precious across Teyvat, serving as premier catalysts for forging armaments and tempering existing weapons.

Even Vision wielders held high demand for such mineral matrices.

Yet native deposits of magical crystal were agonizingly scarce; even with Liyue holding the vast expanse of the Chasm, the domestic extraction rate had always remained modest.

Worse still, as the decades ground on, the subterranean shafts of the Chasm had grown perilous, while the recoverable veins had steadily dwindled.

Continued excavation inflicted catastrophic fractures upon the planetary leylines, forcing the Ministry of Civil Affairs to repeatedly throttle the mining quotas.

Following the opening of the portal into this universe, Ningguang had issued strict decrees ordering the operations within the Chasm reduced to an absolute bare minimum.

Every industrial deficit was to be compensated using the minerals of this block world.

While the voxel universe contained abundant mineral varieties possessing immense versatility, foreign metals could never wholly supplant the unique properties of native Teyvat minerals.

Yet if the Genshin Impact module were anchored into reality, that material bottleneck would dissolve into thin air.

Quarries like the Chasm would no longer possess any operational justification to remain active.

Breaking mortal backs beneath the earth to recover meager scraps while poisoning the local leylines was pointless. Within the block world, such anxieties did not exist.

Even if the legions excavated the entire subterranean core of the Main Continent, the earth would never collapse under their feet.

The foundational physics of this universe simply laughed at gravitational stress.

Furthermore, taking Magical Crystal Ore as an illustration: when quarried across Teyvat, the usable yield extracted from a raw boulder was modest.

Yet within this realm, an ore cube was an immaculate, solid cubic meter.

A single block easily rivaled twenty or thirty native crystal formations condensed into a single space.

And that was merely crystalline ore.

Considering the bizarre material properties native to this cosmos, attempting to calculate the condensed mass of an equivalent block of Slime Condensate was staggering.

Factoring in the exploration boundaries already charted across the Main Continent, raw resource scarcity across Teyvat would cease to exist.

It was an unprecedented, historic blessing.

A single module held the capacity to completely fulfill the industrial resource demands of the entire Five-Nation Alliance.

Strictly speaking, once the Genshin Impact module took root, this block world would effectively become Teyvat.

Ningguang drew in a slow, steadying breath, forcing her racing pulse to subside.

”Deliberating on these spoils is premature; the forty-nine-day cataclysm is far from over.”

She paused, a dazzling, knowing smile breaking across her lips as she fixed Ryen with an expectant gaze.

”Yet barring unforeseen complications, our final module selection must include the Genshin Impact module, correct?”

Ryen chuckled, nodding in complete agreement.

From the precise heartbeat that the module had surfaced within his thoughts, he had already decided that its integration was non-negotiable.

Other combat-oriented systems were either completely foreign to his companions, requiring weeks of tedious lectures merely to explain their baseline mechanics.

Their development cycles were far too protracted.

A system like Mine Mine no Mi was undeniably formidable, yet none of the commanders understood Devil Fruits or Haki, demanding a gradual, stumbling learning curve.

The native arts of Teyvat, however, were an open book. Progression would be explosive, demanding zero introductory lectures from Ryen.

Hand them the tools, and the troops would instinctively know how to craft them.

As for the alternative martial modules lingering in his archives...

Those were systems Ryen currently dared not entertain.

The Classic of Mountains and Seas was monumentally potent. Developed to its zenith, its arts granted mortal practitioners the strength to trade blows not merely with the Heavenly Principles, but with higher-dimensional entities anchored upon the Imaginary Tree.

Yet magnificent as such systems were, one had to possess the life to enjoy them.

Ryen held administrator code and wielded the Sword of the Cosmos, leaving him utterly immune to harm.

Yet what of his companions?

The moment the Classic of Mountains and Seas was installed, the entire cosmos would undergo an apocalyptic cataclysm.

Colossal, rule-breaking horrors would populate the wilderness.

Primordial apex calamities out of ancient myth.

The Torch Dragon whose opening eyelids brought the dawn and whose closing brought absolute night, the world-devouring Taotie, the celestial Roc that gorged upon true dragons.

Could his mortal legions genuinely face horrors of that scale?

Taking a step back: even if Ryen could personally shield Ningguang and the inner circle, could he preserve thousands of common soldiers from extinction?

How would territorial colonization proceed beneath the shadow of such beasts?

Installing a module with an excessively high power ceiling was not developmental progress; it was inviting total destruction.

It would effectively trap their entire civilization behind the obsidian ramparts of Redstone Tech City like prisoners in a cell.

Stepping beyond the gates?

The moment a soldier caught sight of such mythological abominations, not a soul would dare cross the threshold.

Even a stack of Totems of Undying would offer zero salvation against a beast whose casual stride could flatten a mountain range.

Such systems would have their place in the eras ahead, but certainly not today.

To state it in classical cultivation terms: they were currently consolidating their footing in a lower realm, having barely surveyed the intermediate planes; jumping straight into a primordial realm was suicidal.

Even an ant crawling along the roadside could crush their armies underfoot.

Even opting for a slightly more modest system like Primordial Cultivation introduced spirit beasts into the wild.

Beasts of that caliber shrugged off modern artillery like dust.

For the present moment, the Genshin Impact module was the undisputed, optimal choice.

While its power ceiling did not sit at the absolute pinnacle of combat modules, perhaps edging only slightly ahead of Electroblob’s Wizardry, its strategic relevance to his companions eclipsed all others.

On the surface, it appeared to simply transpose the mechanics of Teyvat into the block world. Yet when merged with the immutable physics of the voxel engine, those native creatures and materials would be amplified a thousand times over.

Even as an auxiliary mod loaded into the system, its components would undergo an unprecedented qualitative leap.

Ryen estimated that even a common Hilichurl, upon inheriting the physical density of the block world, would pose a terrifying crisis if released onto the plains of Teyvat.

It would easily hit harder than an infected zombie crossing the threshold.

Physical mass and purity remained the foundational distinction between this block universe and native worlds.

Naturally, Ryen harbored his own private amusements.

Native Teyvatians playing the Genshin Impact module inside Minecraft was a prospect far too hilarious to pass up.

More crucially, the defining treasures of the module were not merely craftable Visions or dense minerals.

The true marvel lay in the world bosses.

Ryen burned with wicked anticipation to watch Zhongli lead the illuminated adepti to launch an open raid against World Boss Morax.

And the Lord of Geo was hardly the sole target on the roster.

Foul Legacy Tartaglia, the Raiden Shogun puppet, the divine mech of Scaramouche, Dragon King Azhdaha.

Picture Tartaglia dueling his own Foul Legacy transformation.

Picture Makoto and Ei, accompanied by the real Raiden Shogun and Kujou Sara, standing face to face with the blocky recreation of the Narukami boss.

Listening to the voxel puppet deliver that solemn speech about inlaying their bodies into the statue: would Ei and the Shogun die of pure, mortifying embarrassment on the spot?

Picture Azhdaha giving his digital reflection a savage thrashing to harvest Dragon Lord’s Crowns, Bloodjade Branches, and Gilded Scales.

The sheer spectacle sent a shiver of delight down his spine.

Ryen was certain that without a word of encouragement from his lips, Venti would happily grab a bow and scamper off to solo voxel Morax just for the sheer joy of it.

This was hardly a system for martial ascension; it was a boundless stage for world-class trolling.

How could a born lover of entertainment like Ryen ever turn his back on such magnificent chaos?

Watching his peers squirm in public embarrassment was his supreme earthly delight.

A subtle, dangerous smirk touched the corners of his lips as the comedic possibilities unfolded in his mind.

The expression flickered for barely a fraction of a second before vanishing, yet Yae Miko caught the fleeting spark, tucking the observation away behind narrowed, calculating eyes.

Pulling his thoughts back to reality, Ryen glanced toward the skylight. The morning had slipped past, and the midday sun hung suspended at its zenith.

Withdrawing his hand from Lisa’s bodice, he rolled his shoulders and let out a long, satisfying stretch.

”That outlines our tactical roadmap. One of our custom picks is locked as the Genshin Impact module. As for the secondary foundational choice, pairing it with More Enchants feels exceptionally synergistic.”

”Naturally, More Enchants is not permanently set in stone; I shall mull over alternative combinations in the days ahead, as ample time remains.”

”Should fresh concepts strike me, I will bring them to your attention for review.”

”Keep these upcoming selections under wraps for now. The cataclysm has run merely seven days, and our operational parameters require testing.”

”We can unveil the truth once the modules deploy.”

”For the remainder of the afternoon, rotate to your quarters and rest. Skipping sleep might spare your immediate mental focus, but it will inevitably summon Phantoms across our skies.”

”Catch your rest, and tonight we shall resume leveling our staves. Across the next three Blood Moons, we hold a stable, low-risk window to farm weapon progression.”

The women murmured in agreement, rising from the sofa to take their leave.

Ningguang and the leaders held administrative matters to oversee across the perimeter. Moreover, knowing that the Genshin Impact module was guaranteed to drop, drafting a regional encyclopedia in advance would allow their gathering divisions to hit the ground running without troubling Ryen for guidance.

Having lived within this realm for months, relying on Ryen to dictate every step of industrial production was no longer necessary.

Furthermore, when it came to this module, no soul in the cosmos understood the terrain better than native Teyvatians.

If efficiency were the only goal, harvesting this module followed the exact operational playbook they had used back home for centuries.

Watching the others filter through the arched doorway, Yae Miko’s violet eyes curved into mischievous crescents as she drifted toward Ryen with quiet, graceful steps.

”Darling, you harbor wicked designs, don’t you?”

Ryen raised an eyebrow, effortlessly sweeping the shrine maiden off her feet and gathering her into his arms.

”That goes without saying. With a temptress like you beside me, harboring anything less than wicked designs would be an insult.”

He turned and strode purposefully toward the master bedchamber.

Yae Miko looped her slender arms around his neck, whispering against his ear with a sultry, knowing purr.

”You know perfectly well I am not referring to that. Why forbid sweet Ganyu from sharing the selection of the Genshin Impact module with the council?”

”Alerting the regiments in advance would allow them to mobilize their mining carts the very second the code compiles, wouldn’t it?”

”Do not attempt to brush it aside as a desire to preserve a surprise; such hollow excuses might charm sweet Ganyu, but they hold zero water with me.”

Ryen paused, lowering her onto the soft mattress and fixing her with an exasperated glare.

”Can you not allow your man to maintain a shred of dramatic mystique? Exposing me like this invites a proper domestic reprimand, you know.”

”Have I ever failed to welcome your reprimands with open arms?”

Yae Miko scoffed playfully, crawling forward across the silk sheets to rest her chin lightly against his chest.

”Share the secret with me. Joy multiplied between two souls is vastly superior to keeping it locked inside your chest. I can guard a secret; do you genuinely doubt my discretion?”

”Tell me! If you withhold such delightful gossip, I shall surely suffer from insomnia! Could your heart bear to watch your precious little fox lose the glossy luster of her fur from sleepless nights?”

She piled up a mountain of shameless flattery and feigned sorrow to coax him.

When it came to hunting amusement, Yae Miko and Ryen shared a single, unified soul.

Both were connoisseurs of chaos.

Her instincts regarding juicy scandals were razor-sharp. She had sensed his subtle distraction earlier, and watching him enforce absolute secrecy had confirmed her suspicions entirely.

The Genshin Impact module was an absolute goldmine of potential amusement.

Ordinary foxes hunted field mice, but Yae Miko hunted comedy.

If she could not extract the punchline in advance, the anticipation would drive her mad.

She needed to prepare her mental stage so she could extract every drop of entertainment when the curtain rose.

Ryen clicked his tongue, though seeing that she had already coaxed her fluffy pink fox tail into the open, pressing its soft, silken fur directly into his palm as collateral, his resolve crumbled.

Given her relentless nature, withholding the truth would only result in her trailing him like a shadow, whispering sweet badgering into his ear all afternoon.

He leaned down, his lips brushing the delicate tip of her ear as he spoke in a hushed, conspiratorial murmur.

”I will share the design, but you are bound to absolute secrecy. If you leak a syllable and ruin the spectacle before their faces, the comedy will be thoroughly spoiled.”

”Naturally! You can place your absolute faith in my silence!”

Yae Miko straightened her posture, her eyes gleaming with electric, breathless anticipation.

”Maximizing amusement is the art I command best in this world!”

Ryen offered a slow, wicked grin, fixing the shrine maiden with an intensely mysterious look.

”Tell me...”

”When Makoto discovers that within the Genshin Impact module, her darling twin sister is a farmable world boss... what expression do you suppose will grace her face?”

Yae Miko sat completely, utterly frozen, her breath caught in her throat.
