”Perfect… just wish there were more fish.”

Ryen knocked away the glass blocks under his feet, gazing contentedly at the lively aquarium before him.

”Forget it… let them breed on their own.”

Having completed everything, Ryen turned around and waved his hand.

”Let’s go. Let me assign rooms for you, and we’ll have a brief work meeting.”

As he prepared to leave, Ningguang, Zhongli, and the others stood there, staring at the aquarium with blank expressions.

Ryen chuckled, waving a hand in front of Ningguang.

”What’s up? Spaced out for so long?”

Ningguang bit her lip and pointed at the aquarium.

”You… built something this large in one day?”

Ryen shrugged, smiling.

”Why not? Is it hard? You could do it too if you have the materials.”

Hearing this, Ningguang took a deep breath and spoke softly.

”Maybe… I could build a Pavilions of Crystal for myself?”

”If you want, go ahead. The materials are easy to find anyway.”

Ryen led them upstairs with a cheerful demeanor.

”You should read more architectural books. If you want, you could spend some time building a port for Liyue too.”

”Though for now, we still need a lot of resources.”

”I need iron, lapis lazuli, redstone, and more to complete my tech.”

Ryen had prepared plenty of rooms, enough for everyone to settle in.

However, considering they wouldn’t stay in this world often, he didn’t make them overly luxurious.

If they wanted to, they could customize their spaces later.

Ryen himself had built a comfortable room since he needed to remain in this world.

Briefly introducing the layout of his house, with plenty of time left, Ryen led them to the garden on the second floor to sit and drink tea.

The tea leaves and cups were, of course, brought from the real world.

This world lacked many essentials.

”Although it’s all blocks, the scenery here is quite nice.”

Zhongli gently sipped his tea, speaking warmly.

”Even for fostering one’s emotions and enjoying life, this place is good.”

Ryen shook his head with a smile.

”That’s just daytime. At night, monsters are everywhere. It’s quite dangerous.”

”So, I’ve built a lot of defenses. Future projects will also prioritize using iron for protection.”

”Now, let’s talk business.”

Ryen opened his notebook and glanced at Ningguang, Keqing, and the others.

”Today, I won’t be going to the mines. We’ll be building a sky island, a monster farm, iron farm, and stone farm…”

”The workload is still substantial.”

Hearing this, Ningguang and the others became more focused.

They were genuinely interested in the unique features of this world and its exploration.

”Ryen, is there anything I can help with?”

Xiao asked eagerly.

This world felt incredibly new to him, as though something in the air suppressed his karma.

At least, Xiao noticed that the pain and relentless urge to destroy himself had vanished.

If Ryen were to explain, it made sense.

In Teyvat, remnants of gods and demons were widespread. Xiao, as a Yaksha, naturally conflicts with such forces.

But in the Minecraft world?

In the simplest terms, Teyvat’s laws didn’t extend to the blocky nature of this world.

Ryen thought for a moment before softly replying,

”Xiao, you’re quick. We need a lot of stone blocks to build the sky island.”

”I’ll ask you to go to the back mountain and mine stones. Also, check if you are able to fly. If you can, it’ll be a huge help.”

Xiao nodded seriously.

”I understand. Leave it to me.”

”I’ll prepare some stone pickaxes for you later. Do you remember the basic crafting recipes from Keqing’s workshop?”

Seeing Xiao nod, Ryen smiled.

”When you get there, first chop down some trees, then craft a workbench to make some pickaxes.”

”Also, there are many monsters here. If you encounter green, crawling block creatures, be sure to stay far away.”

As he spoke, Ryen pulled out a notebook, filled with strange, densely packed illustrations of monsters.

Simple annotations had been added to some of them.

These had been prepared by Ryen last night

”This world has many dangerous monsters so you need to be careful.”

Otherwise, if Xiao accidentally encounters a Enderman, staring blankly into its eyes, wouldn’t that lead to his teleportation torment?

Ryen really wanted Ender Pearls, but he wasn’t about to take on a Creeper without armor—it was far too risky.

Xiao took the notebook and carefully examined the pages.

”Your world seems quite unsafe, Ryen.”

Zhongli nodded thoughtfully, his expression turning a bit worried.

”Can those monsters also enter Teyvat through that portal?”

Hearing this, Ryen waved his hand with a smile.

”I won’t allow monsters to enter Teyvat. In this world, some equipment can deal with them.

But if they were to be transported to Teyvat, the risks would be too great. I don’t want to risk my home front.”

Zhongli gave a gentle nod.

He wasn’t worried about Ryen’s words.

From the way Ryen spoke, he didn’t seem like the kind of person to let danger in—especially after their contract had been signed.

Zhongli may not fully trust Ryen, but he trusted the contract.

”What can we do to help, Ryen?”

Ganyu held her cup, looking at Ryen with curiosity.

Truthfully, she didn’t believe a group of them would be much help in building a sky island.

Ryen could build an entire manor on his own in a day. They had just arrived and weren’t even proficient with block stacking yet.

Their so-called ’help’ was more like Ryen guiding them on how to utilize this world.

Ryen smiled meaningfully.

”You know how to stack blocks, right?”

Ganyu paused, then nodded slightly.

”That’s fine then!”

Ryen clapped his hands.

”Don’t overcomplicate building in this world. It’s really not much different from stacking blocks.”

”Just have a rough idea in your mind, a general shape, and build according to it.”

As he spoke, Ryen glanced at the sky.

It was around ten in the morning, and by now, everyone had adjusted somewhat to the peculiarities of this world.

Ryen stood up, stretching lazily.

”Alright, let’s get moving. We need to lay the foundation for the sky island.”

”If we have time this afternoon, I’ll guide you all to plan the area across the plains. That’s where I’ve set aside a space for your first team to settle and start cultivating this world.”

”Before you officially move in, it’s best to lay out a base. The nights here are quite dangerous.”

Hearing Ryen’s words, Ningguang’s face brightened slightly.

She trusted Ryen’s ability to act quickly.

In this unfamiliar world, with Ryen’s support, Liyue would be able to integrate smoothly and quickly into the exploration efforts.

”There’s one more thing!”

Keqing suddenly raised her hand, curious.

”Ryen, where exactly are you planning to build the sky island? I didn’t see you reserve any foundations in the manor.”

Ryen smiled as he led them downstairs.

Glancing around, he stopped at a 2x2 empty patch of land behind the house. He placed the first stone block there.

Turning back to Keqing and the others, he spread his hands.

”There, the foundation is done.”
