Genshin x Minecraft: Building the Temple of Virtue

In a small village of about a dozen houses, backed by towering mountains, the view was breathtaking. On both sides, dense birch forests stretched out, and directly ahead, a clear, babbling stream flowed peacefully. Beyond the stream, vast, endless grasslands spread out, with a number of strong, majestic horses casually strolling across the plains.

This was the perfect example of an MC world starter house.

The mountains in the back meant there were mines and valuable ores to be found. The forests on both sides promised an endless supply of wood. The stream in front would serve as a route for exploration once boats were crafted. As for the grasslands…

Come on, there’s no place more comfortable than the great plains! At the very least, once they had saddles and horse armor, transportation was sorted.

This precious piece of land was a result of Ryen’s painstaking search over half a year. But the remaining half of the year? Well, he had to suffer and stay at a villager’s house—sleeping on the floor no less.

After traveling through the portal into the MC world, Ryen spread his arms wide and took a deep breath, closing his eyes in contentment.

It wasn’t necessarily that the air was better here, but it was simply because this was Ryen’s world. The sense of pride and accomplishment was something Teyvat could never offer him.

”So this is… your world, Ryen?”

Ganyu, standing beside him, was cautiously holding her longbow, scanning the surroundings.

”It feels… so strange…”

”That’s right! How could there be a world made entirely of blocks?”

Keqing couldn’t help but groan.

Though the scenery of this world was nice, it was like stepping into a world with graphics enhanced by a 4090 version of a lighting texture pack. But…

That didn’t change the fact that the whole world was just made up of blocks!

What was even more absurd was that they had arrived right where Ryen had left off earlier—the outer edges of the village’s birch forest. Not far off, there was a… thing that could just about be called a tree.

But deep down, Keqing had no desire to call it a tree.

Which tree doesn’t have a trunk? This one had leaves floating in the air!

”I get it, I get it!”

Ryen laughed and shrugged.

”You’ll get used to it eventually. Besides, don’t you think this world is fascinating?”

”It’s fascinating, sure…”

Ganyu scratched her cheek, staring at Ryen’s profile as she muttered,

”But it still feels hard to accept a world like this, doesn’t it?”

Keqing, on the other hand, shook her head excitedly.

”No! I think this world is even better! It’s all made of blocks, which means resources are incredibly easy to collect! It’s a good thing for us!”

Watching Keqing and Ganyu quickly adapt to the reality of this world with their back-and-forth banter, Ryen clapped his hands and grinned.

”Alright, let’s get to the most important task first…”

”The most important task?”

Ganyu looked at Ryen, confused. He replied casually,

”If we’re going to develop this place long-term and stably, we need a place to settle down. I can’t just have you two digging holes and filling them back up, can I?”

”Digging holes and filling them up?”

Keqing became even more puzzled, but Ryen didn’t feel the need to explain.

If he were alone, with his Steve-like endurance, Ryen wouldn’t mind digging and filling in holes. Not only would it be safer, but with the vastness of this world, any place could be home.

But Keqing and Ganyu didn’t have Steve-like stamina. If they had to work the land, wouldn’t that make Hu Tao thrilled?

No, wait…

If Hu Tao didn’t even buy a coffin for them, she’d probably get mad and drag them out of the grave to bury them again.

”Ryen! There’s a village!”

Keqing suddenly exclaimed, grabbing Ryen’s sleeve excitedly and pointing to the wooden houses in the distance.

”We can ask if they have any vacant land to sell, and then use your magical materials to build us a house!”

At the mention of this, Ryen suddenly had an epiphany.

He had been forgetting something important.

Villagers! Wooden houses! Beds!

Time for some revenge!!!

Ryen sneered coldly.

”Going to the village? No problem, we’re definitely going to the village, but before that, there’s something I absolutely must do!”

Keqing and Ganyu looked at each other, completely puzzled.

Ryen pulled out four pieces of wood and, with the help of his backpack, crafted a crafting table.

Then…

Wooden sticks, wooden planks, wooden planks.

He crafted a wooden sword, freshly made!

Ryen picked up the wooden sword, examined it for a moment, then spoke in a low voice:

”Let’s go!”

Keqing and Ganyu were still confused, but they could only watch as Ryen’s figure receded in the distance. Keqing called out to him.

”Uh… Ryen, what’s with this strange little table you’ve got…”

”Forget it!”

Ryen responded decisively and firmly.

It was just a crafting table, after all. What seasoned block world traveler takes one along? That thing can be made anywhere from the materials around.

A great block world explorer doesn’t need to carry such things around—this world is vast, and anywhere can be home!

Ryen was thankful to his system for giving him the Steve-like physique, but at least it didn’t turn him into a block person.

”Keqing, don’t just stand there. Hurry up and catch up! I’m worried Ryen might get into trouble!”

Ganyu anxiously urged.

Keqing, seeing she couldn’t move the crafting table, decided to give up on it.

”Don’t worry about Ryen. I’ve seen him before—his strength is terrifying.”

Keqing waved her hand nonchalantly, though she was now eyeing the crafting table with some curiosity.

This thing…

She couldn’t push it, couldn’t lift it.

Even with lightning elemental attacks, she couldn’t even make a scratch on it.

It was just four pieces of wood, yet it was so sturdy.

Keqing’s mind began to wander.

What if she used this kind of table to imprison those powerful criminals…

Wouldn’t it save materials and be more secure?

At this moment, Ryen had no idea what Keqing was thinking, but if he did…

He’d enthusiastically recommend her to use the Crystalline Prison.

Top-tier performance!

It didn’t matter if you were Osail or the Lord of the Ruin Dragons.

Absolutely indestructible and unminable!

Even the Geo Archon would have to shake his head.

”Ganyu, help me out. I’m going to see if I can clear the dirt beneath this and move this thing.”

Seeing that Keqing was still struggling with the crafting table, she looked like she was about to use her sword to dig it out.

Ganyu was getting more anxious.

”Keqing, forget about this thing! Ryen is running off with a wooden sword like he’s going to fight!”

”Fight?”

Keqing, still lost in her weird research, stubbornly shook her head.

”It’s fine! Ryen is really strong—he’s also the holder of the Pyro Vision!”

”I know!”

Ganyu’s voice rose, and she grabbed Keqing’s arm.

”But I’m worried… Ryen is going to kill someone!”

At this, Keqing froze.

Recalling Ryen’s grim expression before he left, she too grew anxious.

She grabbed Ganyu’s shoulder.

”Hurry! We can’t make enemies in this world so soon!”

With that, Keqing casually threw out a Lightning Lancer and grabbed Ganyu, teleporting them forward in short bursts.

But strangely, no matter how hard she tried, she could only travel a couple of blocks at a time.

In her panic, Keqing didn’t notice this strange issue.

Exhausted from her efforts, she continued pulling Ganyu along as they quickly darted through the air.

Finally, after making over ten teleportations, they arrived at the village.

From a distance, they saw Ryen, his face full of excitement, chasing after a person, wooden sword raised high.

”Ryen!”

Keqing exclaimed in shock.

”Don’t kill… anyone?”
