I, the Destined Villain, Start by Controlling the Saint

The Tang family’s general! The Imperial City, located in the Great Chu.

Although Great Chu is not a top power in the Immortal Realm, its Imperial Dynasty’s capital is naturally grand and majestic, covering an area of tens of millions of miles.

Within it, tall buildings stand in abundance, countless divine temples exist, and hundreds of millions of citizens reside there.

And now, before the main gate of this capital, ten million soldiers are pressing, like dark clouds pressing down on a city about to be destroyed.

A battle capable of changing the future direction of the entire Great Chu has reached the brink of eruption.

Liu Chen roared furiously, “Old scoundrel, I will kill your entire family!”

Looking at the middle-aged man standing on the city wall, Liu Chen could no longer suppress the rage in his heart.

His eyes were bloodshot, and his face was covered with bulging veins.

His white eyeballs were full of blood, his hands were tightly clenched into fists, his fingernails dug deeply into his palms, crimson blood dripped down, and his entire body trembled.

He had always dreamed of killing this man.

Above the city wall, clad in golden silk battle armor and holding a silver wax spear, was none other than the Great General of the Nation who defended the Imperial City ten thousand years ago: Zhan Gucheng!

To usurp the throne, one must Breakthrough Zhan Gucheng’s defenses.

Ten thousand years ago, even if Zhan Gucheng didn’t fight to the death, as long as he activated the city-defending array and held out without sallying forth, the Great Jing Immortal Dynasty would not have been annihilated.

But it was this Zhan Gucheng who colluded with the Prime Minister, secretly arranging the Prime Minister’s people to infiltrate every corner of the Imperial City on the wedding night.

Not only that, Zhan Gucheng also secretly changed the city-defending array into a Slaughtering Immortal Array, causing the Old Ancestor of the Great Jing Immortal Dynasty to be ambushed and besieged by the killing array when he made his move.

Otherwise, with the Prime Minister’s strength alone at that time, it would have been impossible to change the Imperial Dynasty.

It can be said that Zhan Gucheng was indispensable in the downfall of the Great Jing Immortal Dynasty.

Zhan Gucheng, an Early Stage Taiyi Golden Immortal, had more than a dozen Taiyi True Immortal divine generals under him, controlled sixty percent of the Great Chu Immortal Dynasty’s military strength, and guarded the Chu Imperial Capital.

He was below one person and above ten thousand, everyone who saw him had to bow and scrape, enjoying boundless glory. How could he have ever been pointed at and cursed like this?

Zhan Gucheng only felt that the person before him was somewhat familiar, but in his memory, he indeed did not recall such a person.

Zhan Gucheng said in a deep voice, “How presumptuous! Who gave you the courage to speak to me like this?”

Zhan Gucheng shouted to the divine general behind him:

“Who among you will kill this madman? I will reward you with a thousand taels of divine gold and ten thousand bottles of Immortal Pill.”

“I will also request Your Majesty to bestow a chance to receive the Imperial Seal’s baptism, allowing your strength to ascend to a higher level.”

Imperial Seal’s baptism!

Within the Imperial Seal is the Imperial Dynasty’s Immortal Luck. Those who receive the baptism can possess the Imperial Dynasty’s Luck, increasing their Comprehension Ability and strengthening their Physique, an absolute supreme Opportunity.

As soon as these words were spoken, someone immediately stepped forward.

“Your subordinate is willing,” said a man clad in silver armor and wielding a Dragon Roar Mountain-Splitting Axe.

“Oh, General Tang San is so brave, good!”

“When you cut off his head, I will personally present your merits,” Zhan Gucheng said.

“Someone, bring the Clear Sky Jade Pot Wine bestowed by the Grand Emperor. I will personally fill it for General Tang to help him decide the outcome of this battle.”

Soon, a palace maid came over holding a jade bowl, filled with clear wine that was infinitely fragrant and sweet. Just smelling it, one could tell the wine was rich and mellow.

Zhan Gucheng took it with both hands and offered it to the silver-armored divine general named Tang San.

The Grand Marshal of the Immortal Dynasty, who was below one person and above ten thousand, personally served him wine, showing his immense regard.

Tang San took it, only smelled it, and then handed it back to Zhan Gucheng.

“Please, Lord Gucheng, keep it for me.”

Zhan Gucheng was puzzled and asked, “General Tang, why is this?”

“I heard this wine has miraculous effects, capable of healing severe injuries and enhancing one’s Physique. My nephew, Tang Xiao San, was severely injured after entering the Eternal Gate not long ago. I’m saving it for him to heal.”

Upon hearing this, Zhan Gucheng suddenly understood. So that was it.

Tang San said, “Please rest assured, Lord Gucheng. Killing him is like killing a chicken. I’ll be back soon.”

This General Tang spoke with absolute certainty, an immensely confident Aura radiating from within, as if victory was already in his grasp.

This confident tone infected the three armies, making them feel that the people outside the city were nothing but a motley crew.

“Good!”

“Cut off his head, and I’ll give you a full jar of Clear Sky Jade Pot Wine.”

“I will not fail in my mission!”

With that, General Tang took a step, and the spot where he stood was actually dented, with spiderweb cracks radiating from the center.

His Aura was powerful and domineering. Besides the concave and cracked spiderweb marks, a circular wave of Qi also rippled out, stirring up plumes of dust.

At this moment, General Tang had already rushed out of the city-defending array and landed in front of the army.

The silver-armored divine general named Tang, with a disdainful gaze, held his long spear with imposing might. His battle armor moved without wind, and his Mountain-Splitting Axe glittered and shone brilliantly under the sunlight.

Standing a hundred meters in front of the army formation, Tang San held his Mountain-Splitting Axe, pointing it directly at Liu Chen, with an air of intending to strike him down.

“You rebels, disturbing my Chu, deserve ten thousand deaths! Take this axe of mine!”

“Remember, the one who kills you is General Tang San!”

His magic power, mixed with sound waves, echoed for hundreds of thousands of miles, clearly entering everyone’s ears.

The vast heavenly sound, confidently reverberated.

The people of the Chu Imperial Capital seemed to see the dawn of victory.

“Kill!”

Tang San shouted loudly, then soared, transforming into a silver stream of light, charging towards Liu Chen. His gaze was sharp, filled with Killing Intent, as if a God of Slaughter had descended, irresistibly mighty.

Liu Chen’s eyes narrowed slightly, ready for battle.

Such a confident person must have a trump card; he would test him first.

Liu Chen initially only defended.

But after ten rounds, he discovered that the person in front of him was just for show.

Well, is that all he can do?

General Tang was also surprised. He believed every move he made was a killing blow, yet unexpectedly, this guy in front of him had some skill and managed to neutralize all of them.

“It seems I need to show some real skill,” Tang San said in a deep voice.

Liu Chen, having figured out the opponent’s strength, was also prepared with a countermeasure.

“One move will send you to Hell!” Liu Chen thought to himself.

Tang San put away his Mountain-Splitting Axe and pulled out a large sword from his Storage Pouch, a hundred zhang long and eight zhang wide, like a small mountain.

The giant sword floated in the air, and Tang San then entered the sword body. The originally unremarkable giant sword instantly burst forth with dazzling white light, like a white rainbow in the sky.

“This is a sword technique I have studied for a long time; it has reached the state of man and sword becoming one.”

“Sword Skill!”

“Great Swordsman!”

With that, the giant sword’s edge pointed at Liu Chen and shot out fiercely, intending to cleave him in half with one strike.

But Liu Chen remained unhurried, calmly responding.

Liu Chen conjured a pitch-black, gleaming large iron rod.

This was a peerless exotic treasure he had picked up on the road, unwanted by anyone. Even a second-grade Immortal Artifact could not leave the slightest scratch on it.

The black iron rod danced in his hand, the rod wind roaring like a tiger, the long rod flying like a Dragon, striking down at the incoming man-and-sword-as-one giant sword with the force of a collapsing mountain, unstoppable.

Tang San’s expression was normal. “Kid, you are still too young. How dare you confront me head-on?”

“This killing move of mine can shatter a third-grade defensive Immortal Artifact. And you’re just using a broken iron rod to fight me?”

“You are asking for death!”

He was incredibly confident.

Finally, the collision of sword and rod produced a clanging, explosive roar.

Clang!

The confrontation between the iron rod and the giant sword emitted dazzling white light. Everyone covered their eyes, fearing the brightness would blind them.

“How is this possible!”

Tang San, who had been full of confidence, was filled with shock when he encountered the black iron rod.

He only saw a large gap blasted into the giant sword’s edge.

That wasn’t all; the black iron rod’s momentum continued to burst forward, and the giant sword began to collapse, covered in cracks and about to disintegrate.

With a loud bang.

The giant sword’s body completely shattered, turning into countless broken blades scattered all over the ground.

As the giant sword shattered, Tang San, who was one with the sword, was also struck by the large iron rod.

The large iron rod swept across his chest, causing it to indent by five or six centimeters.

Tang San’s face was distorted as he spat out blood. He looked down in disbelief at the giant rod that had almost split him in two with one strike, his heart filled only with terror.

The immense force sent him flying backward, instantly retreating over a hundred miles. He continued to vomit blood as he retreated, drawing a trail of blood across the sky.

It was fortunate that he had abundant vital essence; otherwise, an ordinary person would have long died from vital essence depletion.

This wasn’t over. Liu Chen, seeing that he still had breath, immediately soared into the sky and charged forward to kill him.

Tang San’s face was ferocious, gasping for breath, almost shouting out all the anger of his life.

“Spare others when you can, I am from the Tang Family, please spare me, spare me.”

“Young man, know when to stop, alright?”

“Go to Hell.” Liu Chen charged forward, intending to finish him off.

Tang San calmed down, gathered his courage, and shouted his final resistance.

“Lord Gucheng, save me!”

A heaven-shaking roar, striking at people’s hearts. Everyone thought he was about to unleash some earth-shattering roar, a full-force attack.

Yet he actually screamed for help.

This left everyone dumbfounded.

It was truly hard to believe.

His entrance was incredibly confident, his landing incredibly imposing, his killing moves incredibly flashy, his presence completely maximized.

Yet he was sent flying with one strike, and the second strike was directly fatal, scaring him so much that he pissed himself and screamed for help.

In the air, there was still some yellowish liquid floating, and the smell of urine began to spread. Although no one noticed it, it was indeed there.

Zhan Gucheng was the first to regain his composure.

Damn it!

Although this Tang San was just a divine general, he was out for experience, and his backing was the Tang Family, a family even more powerful than the Great Chu Immortal Dynasty.

“Kid, how dare you!”

Lord Gucheng immediately took action to save General Tang.

However, by the time he caught him, General Tang was already unrecognizable.

His expression was contorted into a mask of pain, his tongue lolling out like a dead dog.

The sunken rod mark on his chest, his shattered breastbone, and exposed white bones were a gruesome sight.

A warm liquid flowed down from his crotch, soaking his golden armor.

He wanted to throw Tang San down, but with just a slight movement, Tang San let out a painful wail. If he were to throw him, he would surely die.

There was no other way; he had to hold him steadily and call for a physician to treat him.

“Is this your strength?”

“Worthless!” Liu Chen roared.

The army behind him collectively let out shouts of victory, their voices like a tsunami, their Aura like a Dragon.

On Zhan Gucheng’s side, the previously high morale instantly plummeted. The opponent was too strong; one strike had knocked General Tang down.

Could they really defeat the opponent?

Zhan Gucheng asked in a deep voice, “Who are you, and why do you invade my Great Chu?!”

Liu Chen waved his hand, and he immediately changed his appearance, now clad in a noble Dragon robe with a resolute and handsome face.

When Lord Gucheng saw Liu Chen’s transformed appearance, his pupils suddenly constricted.

Liu Chen roared:

“You dog thief, do you still recognize me?”

“I am Liu Chen, the former Imperial Prince! If I don’t settle accounts with all of you traitors one by one, I swear I am not human!”

Not just Zhan Gucheng, but a considerable number of the defending soldiers recognized Liu Chen, especially after he declared his identity as Liu Chen, the former Imperial Prince. Everyone was shaken.

So that was it.

This Great Chu was about to change!
