I, the Destined Villain, Start by Controlling the Saint

Start by controlling Jiang Lanzhi’s emotions“Control?”

Jiang Lanzhi looked at Xiao Fan in surprise, finding his starting point a bit odd.

“That’s right, control.”

“Think about it, if we could control them, we could continuously produce Demons and use them for mining; they’d be incredibly useful,” Xiao Fan explained his simple idea to her.

That was true, after all, human Heart-Natures are complex and their thoughts are the hardest to unify.

These Demons, produced like an assembly line, would not only have high output but also be obedient, truly the Immortal Realm’s version of… Demonic AI.

Jiang Lanzhi was amused by his statement.

She said, “Demons and Yao Beasts have similarities, which is that they value Bloodline. The more Advanced the Bloodline, the better their talent and the stronger their Physique.”

“Only a more powerful Demon or Yao Beast with a stronger Bloodline can make them submit.”

“The number of Demons and Yao Beasts that can be enslaved by human power is limited. Even the most powerful Beast Tamer can only command barely over a hundred Yao Beasts of comparable Cultivation, and that’s already a Genius among Geniuses.”

“The number of Demons and Yao Beasts is so vast; it’s simply not cost-effective to enslave them with human power.”

Bloodline?

Xiao Fan became interested. If his Divine-Demonic Body only displayed its demonic nature, could he trick that Demon Mother Nest into working for him?

This was a good idea.

And as a villain, it was perfectly normal for him to have a few hundred million Demons as subordinates, right?

“However, misfortune often brings fortune. Although the Demon Mother Nest is dangerous, it also contains great Opportunity,” Jiang Lanzhi continued.

“What Opportunity?”

“That would be the Demonic Core. The Demonic Core is key to the Mother Nest producing Demons; it contains vital essence. Cultivating with it can strengthen the Physical Body, and there’s even a chance to gain the Demons’ almost abnormal recovery ability.”

“It’s even more effective than Medicinal Pills for healing.”

This was also why Jiang Lanzhi was willing to enter; if she could obtain a Demonic Core, she could strengthen her own power.

The Demonic Core also had healing attribute bonuses, which sounded very good.

After roughly understanding the Demon Mother Nest, Xiao Fan had a plan in mind.

Soon, the Grand Elder gathered his people, bringing eight Void Refining Elders and two Body Integration Elders for Xiao Fan.

This level of importance surprised Jiang Lanzhi.

She had some understanding of Tai Xuan Holy Land’s strength; Body Integration Elders were usually in seclusion, and those on duty outside were Void Refining Elders.

Calling two Body Integration Elders directly truly provided ample security.

The Grand Elder immediately lectured the group of Elders:

“On this trip, the Saint’s orders shall be paramount. The Saint is a Disciple personally appointed by the Holy Lord and will someday become the Holy Lord’s Disciple. All of you must remember to protect the Saint thoroughly; no mishaps are allowed, understand?”

Upon hearing ‘Holy Lord,’ the Elders’ expressions involuntarily became respectful, even somewhat reverent.

They all replied, “We shall obey the Grand Elder’s command.”

Xiao Fan felt very pleased hearing this. Although he hadn’t met the Holy Lord yet, he truly felt the Holy Lord’s care.

This treatment was better than his parents’, after all, they still disciplined him, while the Holy Lord didn’t and even gave him preferential treatment.

I, Xiao Fan, am the Holy Lord’s most loyal Disciple! The kind who repays a drop of kindness with a gushing spring.

“Saint, this is a Demon-Expelling Armor. Wearing it can effectively block damage from Demons and also isolate the erosion of Devilish Qi. Please take it.”

Saying this, the Grand Elder pulled out two sets of silver-white, battle-armor-like items.

Because of Xiao Fan, Jiang Lanzhi also received one. The Saint’s Dao Companion, by extension, was half a Saint and deserved a Demon-Expelling Armor.

Jiang Lanzhi accepted it, gaining a deeper understanding of Xiao Fan’s privileges in Tai Xuan Holy Land.

This was not just a Saint; calling him a Grand Emperor wouldn’t be an exaggeration.

“Let’s go,” Xiao Fan said, holding Jiang Lanzhi’s hand, not giving her a chance to refuse.

Jiang Lanzhi was already used to it and didn’t struggle. He would only be able to be so imposing for a little while longer.

Once I obtain the Legacy and soar, he will forever live in my shadow!

Led by the Elders, Xiao Fan and Jiang Lanzhi arrived at the Northern Underworld Demon Cave.

The Northern Underworld Demon Cave was a massive circular pit, over ten thousand feet deep, with no end in sight.

As far as the eye could see, there was Devilish Qi and layers of poisonous miasma. Ordinary Cultivators, let alone entering, would feel the danger just standing on the periphery.

Xiao Fan wasn’t afraid; he had hidden a drop of his blood in the Five Elements Exquisite Pagoda.

For safety, he also left a drop of blood in his Saint Child Palace.

He even left drops of blood or strands of hair in hundreds of hidden places, always prioritizing safety.

Jiang Lanzhi wasn’t afraid either; she had her past life’s experience dealing with the Mother Nest. If she couldn’t win, she could still run.

Moreover, there were no Demons surrounding the outer perimeter of this Mother Nest, indicating that it hadn’t matured yet and was still in a low-profile development stage.

At this stage, besides the Mother Nest’s slightly stronger defense, its offensiveness was almost non-existent.

Led by the Body Integration Elders, a group of twelve entered the Northern Underworld Demon Cave.

As they continuously descended, the demonic nature within Xiao Fan began to cheer, like a hunter discovering prey.

He vaguely sensed that the Mother Nest was already retracting its aura, as if it had encountered a powerful enemy.

“Strange, why has the demonic miasma lessened so much?”

“A few days ago, when I accompanied the Grand Elder down here, the demonic miasma was so thick you couldn’t see your hand in front of your face, and it was easy to be corroded by Devilish Qi if you weren’t careful.”

“There might be an anomaly. Be careful.”

“Saint, you and this Young Miss stand between us. It will be easier to look after you if anything happens.”

The Elders said.

Immediately, they protected Xiao Fan and Jiang Lanzhi, positioning them in the middle of the group.

As the person involved, Xiao Fan was most aware of the situation’s changes. He immediately suppressed his demonic nature with his divine nature, while his Righteous Qi Constitution emitted Righteous Qi.

A sacred white radiance lit up from Xiao Fan as its center, enveloping the ten Elders.

Xiao Fan said, “Elders, you can rest assured. My Righteous Qi is most effective against evil. If they dare to move within my range, they will surely be suppressed by me.”

The Elders felt the pure Righteous Qi causing the Devilish Qi to retreat and couldn’t help but be greatly astonished.

“Saint, your Cultivation of Righteous Qi has actually formed the Righteous Qi Constitution!”

“The Saint’s potential is truly astonishing.”

“The Righteous Qi Constitution, a wisp of Righteous Qi, a thousand miles of refreshing wind! Those who Cultivate this Physique are people who yearn for light, models of the Righteous Path!”

The Elders praised him profusely.

They didn’t know Xiao Fan well, only knowing his powerful talent from some anecdotes.

But his Heart-Nature was unclear.

Now, this Righteous Qi Constitution made them understand that the Saint was a person of pure Heart-Nature. If he took over the Holy Land in the future, he would definitely make it better and better.

Facing the Elders’ praise, Xiao Fan merely said humbly:

“Just luck, just luck.”

Jiang Lanzhi’s suspicion of Xiao Fan deepened.

The Righteous Qi Constitution, indifferent to me, is like a completely different person from the Xiao Fan of the previous life, who revolved around me and cultivated Demonic Techniques.

Could it be that you’ve been controlled by someone?

The reason Jiang Lanzhi didn’t consider Xiao Fan’s death was because of the existence of soul lamps; a person’s death extinguishes the lamp.

In her previous life, the Xiao Family never reported Xiao Fan’s death, so he must be alive.

Could it be that he really wasn’t the one who did it, but someone wanted to frame him?

【Ding, Jiang Lanzhi’s suspicion of you has deepened.】

【Conquest progress: 4%】

The System’s voice rang in Xiao Fan’s mind. The conquest progress had increased by another 100%, a significant increase!

Xiao Fan turned back, smiling at Jiang Lanzhi, and said, “Stay close to me, it’s very dangerous here.”

His caring words made her feel cared for and loved, and a warmth flowed through her heart.

Just as she was about to say something.

Xiao Fan’s next sentence came.

“After all, you’re just a small Nascent Soul trash. If you die in there, it’s not a big problem for me to lose a Dao Companion; I can just marry another. But if my mother gets sad, then that’s a big problem.”

These words left Jiang Lanzhi speechless.

So, in your eyes, I’m just a replaceable Dao Companion? Even your mother’s sadness is more important than me.

She felt neglected, and her recently softened face tightened again.

“None of your business!”

Xiao Fan smiled. Her emotions had fluctuated, meaning her emotions were under his control.

He directly took Jiang Lanzhi’s soft hand and said with a look of affection, “You are my fiancée. If I don’t care for you, who will?”

Jiang Lanzhi was enraged by this guy, yet she had no way to resist, which further solidified her determination to become stronger and thoroughly trample him under her… jade feet!

The Elders watched the two bickering, only sighing.

The Saint and his Dao Companion have such good feelings.

At a time like this, they still know how to flirt and bicker to alleviate Jiang Lanzhi’s tension. What a peerless good man.

Along the way, many strange creatures with two wings on their backs and purple scales all over their bodies launched attacks at Xiao Fan and his group, trying to stop their advance.

However, perhaps because it was a nascent Mother Nest, the Demons it produced were not very strong and couldn’t stop their progress.

“Saint, we’ve arrived,” an Elder said, pointing at the monstrous creature before them.

Xiao Fan also looked at the giant monster in front of him.

This thing was somewhat different from what he had imagined.

Brothers, I’ve fallen. I only updated 7000 words today, sigh.
