I, the Destined Villain, Start by Controlling the Saint

Fabricating illusions by any means necessaryXiao Fan led Lan Yuhong away, leaving Xiao Yun sitting dazedly in the cage, his eyes vacant.

After a long while, he finally cried out, ”Yuhong! No~~”

The sound trailed off for a long time, but in any case, Xiao Fan was already out of earshot.

He secretly nursed a grudge in his heart, ’You little brat, just you wait. She is my sister! She is my sister!’

”First, I’ll achieve a Breakthrough, then climb step by step. I will definitely defeat him.”

Xiao Yun began his closed-door cultivation, preparing for his Breakthrough.

However, before half a day had passed, someone came and released him.

”You’re quite lucky, kid. You’ve become the Young Master’s follower.”

”The Young Master pleaded for leniency on your behalf. Go on, you don’t need to stay here anymore.”

A Disciple guarding the prison said, a hint of envy in his tone.

Following the Young Master in one’s youth, and after he ascends to his position upon growing up, a follower would at least become a core clan elder, entering the innermost region of Linxian Heaven.

That status and position are also something those in the outer two layers could hardly hope to reach.

Xiao Yun said nothing. He didn’t understand what Xiao Fan was thinking.

But he knew what he himself wanted: to get my sister Yuhong back!

Stepping out of the dungeon, golden sunlight shone on Xiao Yun’s face, illuminating all the unwillingness written there.

Before him, a person was already standing, speaking to him:

”Come with me.”

”Where to?” Xiao Yun asked, puzzled.

”The Young Master says your cultivation level is too low. He ordered me to arrange for you to go to a cultivation chamber. Achieve a Breakthrough in your Realm first.”

”The Young Master is really too good to you. To Cultivate in a cultivation chamber, one either pays Spirit Stones or completes tasks to exchange for time. The Young Master is letting you in for free, covering the cost for you.”

The person explained the situation to him.

Xiao Yun understood in his heart. ’He’s this good? Probably just putting on a show for Yuhong to see.’

”But you will regret it. The Luck I’ve gathered now can allow me to Breakthrough to the Golden Core Late Stage.”

”I originally only planned to Breakthrough to the Golden Core Middle Stage, leaving some reserves. It seems I must give you a little shock!”

”Mm, lead the way.”

Xiao Fan sending him to the cultivation chamber was genuine, but it had ulterior motives.

...

Xiao Fan directly brought Lan Yuhong back to his palace and arranged for her to stay.

Lan Yuhong was somewhat overwhelmed by the favor. ’Brother Xiao Fan is so good to me. How should I repay him?’

Just then, her cold poison flared up again. Her delicate face, which had just regained some rosy color, was once again covered in a frosty pallor, a sickly, faint blue that made her look pitiable and lovable.

”Cold, so cold.”

Lan Yuhong curled up her body, nearly falling to the ground. Luckily, Xiao Fan beside her caught her.

He carried her to the palace next to his bedroom and settled her there.

’Talk about getting what you need.’

”Although the methods are somewhat despicable, I’m a villain. Isn’t it perfectly reasonable for me to be unscrupulous?” Xiao Fan smirked wickedly. It was just a pity that his Righteous Qi Constitution made even his wicked smirk appear righteous and awe-inspiring.

Xiao Fan’s eyes were deep and mysterious, staring straight into Lan Yuhong’s beautiful eyes. He used his pupil technique on her, constructing an illusion.

Xiao Fan’s pupil technique wasn’t strong, and his illusions were average. But Lan Yuhong’s cultivation was low, only at the Qi Refining first layer, so naturally, she couldn’t resist his pupil technique.

Soon, Lan Yuhong closed her beautiful eyes and entered the illusion Xiao Fan had constructed.

---

Inside the illusion.

Lan Yuhong only felt like she was suffocating, her entire body icy cold. She lay back in Xiao Fan’s arms, her consciousness blurry.

She tilted her head up slightly and saw Xiao Fan’s face filled with anxiety.

”Someone! Where is everyone? Quickly summon Clan Elder Xiao Yaosheng! My sister’s cold poison is acting up, hurry!”

However, her consciousness was blurry; she only had this one impression.

The scene shifted. This time, she wasn’t lying in Xiao Fan’s arms but on a warm, smooth jade bed.

Xiao Fan sat by the bedside, tightly holding her hand. Beside them stood an old man in white Daoist robes, taking her pulse.

She vaguely heard words like, ”The illness has entered the marrow, I’m afraid her time is short.”

Lan Yuhong’s heart didn’t feel heavy; instead, she felt somewhat relieved.

’Am I going to die? That’s fine too. I can finally be free, no longer tormented by this cold poison.’

But at the same time, she felt Xiao Fan press her hand against his cheek. The warmth transmitted from it made her reluctant to let go.

In her dazed state, she only heard Xiao Fan say with a choked voice:

”Save her. No matter the cost, you save her for me.”

”Clan Elder, I beg you. I’ve just gained a sweet, sensible sister. I like her very much. Please don’t let her leave me, okay?”

Lan Yuhong’s heart trembled. ’Young Master... do I hold such importance in Brother Xiao Fan’s heart?’

”There is a way, but... the cost is great.”

”Any cost is acceptable. I’ll bear it all. Just save her.”

Lan Yuhong’s consciousness continued to shift. The next moment, she saw Xiao Fan sleeping on the same bed as her. Her heart raced wildly. ’Is this... sharing a bed?’

’I guess that makes me... the one by his pillow.’

She smiled self-deprecatingly. ’I really do love to fantasize, always dreaming impractical dreams.’

”Young Master, is it worth it? To save an orphan with no blood relation?”

”Nonsense. I told you to save her. Just do as you’re told.”

A sigh reached her ears. The clan elder said slowly, ”Young Master, your concern for her has already exceeded that for a sister.”

”If the Family Head were to find out...”

”Didn’t I tell you to keep it secret? No one is to speak of it, or don’t blame me for making things difficult for you.”

The clan elder sighed and began the treatment. Lan Yuhong’s heart thumped violently. ’Brother Xiao Fan paid a huge price for me?’

’And he’s hiding it from the Family Head? Am I really worth it?’

The next moment, Xiao Fan let out a heart-wrenching, agonized cry. His rosy complexion began to turn pale.

Around his body, wisps of scorching blood Qi appeared. The blood Qi formed threads, guided into her body.

Lan Yuhong let out a comfortable moan. The next second, she felt her body grow hot. The chilling cold within her was gradually dissipating.

The cold poison was disappearing!

As the cold poison lessened, her body grew warmer and warmer, while Xiao Fan’s agonized cries became increasingly shrill. In the end, blood flowed from all seven orifices.

”Young Master, should we...”

”Continue. Ah, I... I can still hold on.”

Lan Yuhong’s heart exploded with emotion. ’Brother Xiao Fan is enduring such torment for me? He’ll probably suffer some lasting side effects.’

She wanted to speak, to call out to Xiao Fan, to tell him to stop.

But she couldn’t utter a word. No matter how she tried to shout, no sound came out.

She began to cry. Finally, when she saw Xiao Fan faint, she could no longer hold back and burst into tears.

”Brother Xiao Fan, wake up...”

After that, she lost consciousness. Her entire awareness sank into darkness.

*Whew!*

Xiao Fan collapsed onto the ground, exhausted.

’Damn, illusions are really difficult. Weaving a perfect illusion is so hard.’

He could only adopt the method of fragmented memories, leaving only good impressions, letting her see his sacrifices.

After doing all this, Xiao Fan was already drenched in sweat.

Looking at the tears flowing from the corners of Lan Yuhong’s eyes, he couldn’t help but ask himself, ’Isn’t it too immoral to deceive an innocent young girl?’

[Ding! You fabricated facts, altered the memories of the Luck-Blessed Girl. The Luck-Blessed Girl’s Goodwill towards you has increased. Conquest progress has surged. Current progress: 89.9%]

’Holy crap, this is definitely the fastest conquest speed for Xiao Fan.’

From 60% directly soaring to 89.9%!

’Then sealing the deal should be as easy as breathing, right?’

[Don’t think too much. Conquering Lan Yuhong is not generally difficult. Although she admires you, she is very traditional. If you consider her a sister, she will hold fast the Bottom line of a proper sister.]

[Sweet, obedient, sensible, affectionate, gentle—she possesses all these. Only the final step is missing. That last 0.1% is the hardest to conquer. To breakthrough her psychological Bottom line, turning sibling affection into romantic love, you’ll have to do her ideological work yourself.]

’Huh?’

Xiao Fan was dumbfounded. ’So stubborn? Can’t she be flexible?’

’Forget it, forget it. Let things take their natural course. First, let’s extract her Ice-Snow Origin.’

He couldn’t bear to let Lan Yuhong die. She was probably the woman who listened to him the most so far.

Yin-Yang Reversal began to exert its force. Xiao Fan used the same method as a few days ago to extract Lan Yuhong’s Ice-Snow Origin.

The Ice-Snow Origin obediently allowed Xiao Fan to refine it, merging into his body. In a way, this could be considered a union between the two of them.

With the Ice-Snow Origin extracted, Lan Yuhong’s pale complexion began to return to normal. Beneath her fair skin showed the unique rosy glow of a young maiden, like an unripe honey peach—not overly sweet but enticing enough.

Thinking for a moment, Xiao Fan By the way used the power of this Ice-Snow Origin to help Lan Yuhong unblock her Meridians and cleanse her marrow once.

Her delicate body, which had endured over a decade of cold poison Torture, experienced such comfort for the first time. An expression of ease unconsciously appeared on her face as she slept soundly.

After finishing all this, Xiao Fan had maidservants come to change Lan Yuhong into new clothes and wipe her body.

In the pupil technique illusion he had woven, Lan Yuhong wouldn’t wake up for at least half a month. The time gap in between Just right matched the duration of the fabricated illusion process.

The Ice-Snow Origin was only Preliminary refined, Just right giving him a reason to enter closed-door cultivation to refine it thorough.

The plan was perfect!

As for Xiao Yun? He was still Cultivating diligently, unaware that his efforts were merely preparing the bridal chamber for Xiao Fan.
