Fully Leveled Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 1655: Chapter 1655: Need a Hand?

Everything happened so quickly, almost in the blink of an eye, Shu Yu and Meng Yunzheng completed their maneuver.

Meng Qi stared blankly back at the two of them, just now… he hadn’t even had time to react.

His cousin’s speed wasn’t surprising, after all, he knew he was skilled and capable.

But he hadn’t expected his future sister-in-law to be so formidable as well, and she was the first to make a move. Along the way, she had spoken very little, and Meng Qi had even worried that she might hold them back.

Now thinking about it, it seemed like he was the one holding them back.

Shu Yu did not notice his gaze; she slowly exhaled and lowered her arm.

The sleeve arrow on her wrist was something Meng Yunzheng had prepared for her back during the exile area for a tiger hunt. She had always kept it on her, and for this trip to such a dangerous place, she was even more prepared.

Just now, it was also thrilling; at the critical moment, she almost aimed directly at the man’s neck. Whether this person was a mountain bandit or not was uncertain, and if shot dead, it might not be easily explained later.

Fortunately, Meng Yunzheng acted quickly, preventing him from making any noise, and knocked him out directly.

“Let’s go, go check it out.”

Shu Yu called out to Meng Qi, and the two of them walked forward.

By this time, Meng Yunzheng was already squatting down to check the man’s condition. The face was unfamiliar, the wrist was injured, and he was dressed in ordinary civilian clothing, nothing distinctive.

But upon unfastening his outer garment, they could see he was carrying weapons, more than one.

At the moment, it seemed he wasn’t a good person.

Meng Yunzheng raised his head and exchanged a glance with Shu Yu.

Then, he removed all the daggers and darts from the man, tore off his belt, and bound his hands and feet tightly, plugging his mouth. After ensuring everything was secure, he clapped his hands and stood up.

Meng Qi whispered, “Brother, what do we do now?”

“This courtyard indeed has issues; I’m afraid those ghost rumors are fabricated by people. This man was just blowing a whistle; his accomplices must be nearby, though we don’t know exactly where. Let’s proceed cautiously and search the courtyard thoroughly.”

“Okay.”

Meng Qi nodded immediately, then pointed at the person lying on the ground, “What about him?”

Since they needed to search carefully, they couldn’t take him along, but leaving him unguarded was worrisome, what if he escaped when he woke up?

Meng Yunzheng looked around and saw the room on the right.

“Put him inside.”

He and Meng Qi carried the man into the room, stripped off his clothes, wrapped them around him in circles binding him to a pillar, then dislocated his jaw to ensure he couldn’t make any noise, and only then did the two leave.

As the three continued forward, their movements were even quieter.

After passing through the small courtyard ahead, when they entered the backyard, suddenly they heard the sounds of fighting.

The group exchanged glances and quickened their pace.

Getting closer, they saw a few people fighting in an abandoned room.

It wasn’t just a fight, but three people ganging up on one person.

The one being attacked was already stabbed several times, breathing unevenly, standing unsteadily, and with a careless mistake, was kicked to the ground.

He immediately rolled over twice on the ground, grabbed a stool leg nearby to block the opponent’s attack.

Meng Qi whispered, “Brother, should we help?” Which side?

Meng Yunzheng was observing when he heard the besieged person speak while dodging clumsily, “You killing me won’t make a difference, I’ve already written a letter informing my comrades about your mountain bandits’ hideout.”
