Fully Leveled Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 839: Chapter 839: To the Bookstore

Shu Yu furrowed her brows, where could her master be?

Originally, she went to the southwest saying it was to help her. But now that she has returned, could her master still be staying there?

Not having received the news she wanted, Shu Yu felt somewhat disappointed, and could only say to the Daoist nun, “When my master returns, could you please inform her for me? I am waiting for her in Jiangyuan County, there are some matters I hope she can help me resolve.”

“I will pass on the message,” the Daoist nun replied.

Shu Yu nodded her head then left with Lu Erbai.

But on the way down the mountain, sitting in the car, she clenched her teeth in frustration, knowing that even if the Daoist nun relayed her words, it would be useless. If her master did not wish to appear, she would never appear.

This master-disciple journey was really… quite resigned to fate.

Shu Yu felt a bit weary.

In her contemplation, the mule carriage had already arrived at the gates of Dongan Province.

Just upon entering the city, Lu Erbai on the carriage shaft suddenly ‘eh’ed.

Shu Yu came back to her senses, lifted the carriage curtain and asked, “What’s wrong, Dad?”

“That looks like Sanya and Dahu, and the one standing next to them… is it Zhao Xi or Yunzheng?”

Shu Yu followed the direction of his pointing finger and indeed, saw one adult and two children standing by the city gate.

Sanya and Dahu were peering around looking towards the gate, and upon seeing Lu Erbai, they waved vigorously at them.

Standing next to them was Meng Yunzheng, although he was wearing a curtain hat.

No wonder Lu Erbai had a hard time recognizing him at first.

As the cart moved along with the crowd towards the city wall, upon reaching under the wall, Meng Yunzheng walked over with the two others.

Shu Yu jumped down from the mule carriage and asked with curiosity, “What are you doing here?”

Sanya said, “After waking up from a nap, Grandmother said since it is rare to come to the prefecture, she let us out to explore, and then we ended up here.”

Saying this, she glanced towards Meng Yunzheng.

It was Brother Meng who brought them out for a stroll, but somehow they ended up standing by the gate, not moving.

Brother Meng said, Dad and Sister had been away so long, they should be back soon, they decided to wait here, perhaps they would meet up.

Indeed, they really did meet Dad and Sister.

Shu Yu couldn’t help but look towards Meng Yunzheng, her mouth twitching. Although the inn they were staying in was not far from the gate, shouldn’t shopping be done inside the city?

Meng Yunzheng cleared his throat, looked away, took the reins from Lu Erbai’s hands and asked softly, “Lu Erbai, did you meet the temple master?”

Lu Erbai shook his head, “No, the temple master hasn’t returned yet.”

The two talked while walking into the city.

Shu Yu also pulled her younger siblings along, noticing there was still plenty of time, she quietly asked if there was any place they wanted to go.

Neither child was familiar with Dongan Province, as it was their first visit, and they couldn’t immediately say where they wanted to go.

Unexpectedly, Meng Yunzheng suddenly said, “Let’s go to the bookstore, buy a few books for Dahu.”

Dahu’s eyes suddenly lit up, he had been studying under Brother Meng since the New Year.

Brother Meng was extremely knowledgeable, understanding everything. Whenever he had questions, Brother Meng’s explanations would immediately clear his doubts.

Although they had been travelling this whole time, he still spent every evening reading and writing, not missing a single day. The books Brother Meng had given him, he had already read them all.

A few days ago, Brother Meng even said that he could start studying the Four Books and Five Classics.

Upon hearing they were heading to the bookstore, Dahu was the first to agree.
