Fully Leveled Bigshot Becomes A Farmgirl

Chapter 837: Chapter 837 Finally at ease

Shu Yu widened her eyes, watching as the figure who spoke those words slowly, slowly became transparent and disappeared.

She opened her mouth, wanting to say something, but only Shu Yu’s last sentence lingered in the air.

“Don’t worry, Mrs. Xue and Sixth Young Lady, who secretly sent you food when you were little, are doing very well. Goodbye, take good care of yourself.”

Shu Yu hurriedly responded, “You take good care of yourself too.”

But there was no reply; Shu Yu wasn’t sure if she had been heard.

At this moment, tears welled up in her eyes, yet she felt better than she ever had before.

So it turned out, she wasn’t Mrs. Xue’s child, not a daughter of the Shu family.

Her real family had always been searching for her…

When Shu Yu woke up, a buzzing sound of conversation filled her ears.

As soon as she opened her eyes, she saw the old lady’s worried expression.

Seeing her awake, the old lady exclaimed with joy, “You’re awake, finally awake. Yu, do you feel unwell anywhere? Quick, quick, Zhao Xi, check on Yu.”

Zhao Xi squeezed through to the front and sat on the bed to take Shu Yu’s pulse.

Shu Yu was still confused, “What happened to me?”

“What happened?” Zhao Xi was speechless, “You’ve slept for a whole day and night, and now it’s evening again.”

Shu Yu was stunned, “I slept that long?”

“Yes, Yun this little rascal has been making me come over every few hours to take your pulse. If I hadn’t insisted that you were merely sleeping, they would have thought something serious had happened to you.”

Even with his confident assurances that she was fine, the Lu family still seemed unconvinced.

They even began to doubt his medical skills and almost went to find another doctor.

Zhao Xi was furious but helpless; he too found it strange, a person sleeping soundly, breathing evenly, with a steady pulse – why couldn’t she be woken up?

Shu Yu rubbed her forehead and looked at everyone standing in the room.

All of them were very worried, and she felt a warmth in her heart, smiling and saying, “I’m fine, I just had a dream and unknowingly slept for so long.”

Upon hearing Zhao Xi had finished taking her pulse, Sanya hurriedly ran to the bedside, tilted her head up and asked, “Second sister, what kind of dream did you have? A good dream or a nightmare?”

Looking at her, resembling the young Shu Yu, Shu Yu couldn’t help but reach out and tousle her hair, “A good dream.”

Relieved it was a good dream, Sanya relaxed.

But since Shu Yu had only just woken up, it seemed impossible for them to depart, and they would have to stay another day at the courier station.

She hadn’t eaten all day, so Madam Hou quickly went to the kitchen to make her a bowl of noodles.

It might have been an illusion, but the Lu family felt that Shu Yu seemed different after waking up.

However, they couldn’t pinpoint precisely what was different.

But overall, she looked more spirited and smiled more.

Having rested another night at the courier station, the Lu family got up early in the morning, packed up and set off.

Madam Hou and Sixth Young Lady were very reluctant, following them a long distance from the station before stopping.

Shu Yu said to them, “If you have any urgent matters in the future and need help, just send someone to the county town to find Wang Changdong. I’ve already spoken to him, asked him to help out whenever he can. He’ll be working with the county magistrate and having his assistance will make things much more convenient.”

“I understand.”

Everything that needed to be said was said, Shu Yu got on the mule carriage, waved to the mother and daughter, and only then did the family start the journey home.
