She is the Side Character! — Watch Her Change her fate!

Ah Chen wandered around the deserted island and found a huge rock.

With a flick of her wrist, a green bamboo segment appeared. She waved it towards the rock, and when she stopped, there were two new characters on the rock: Dragon Island.

In this world, there are no Dragon Clan and no Water Dragon King.

But she needed to impersonate the Dragon Clan later to sort out the County Magistrate of Laining County.

Feeling like there was nothing else to do, Ah Chen sat on a clean stone by the seaside, waiting for Jiang Zhi to appear.

As for hunting, fishing, or picking wild fruits, she didn’t need to eat, so she decided to skip it.

When Jiang Zhi arrived, she would first wake him up to see his character, then proceed from there.

After five days of waiting, she finally saw a figure washed ashore by the waves, covered in wounds with bloodstained clothes.

Using the bamboo segment, she turned him over. Although his face was pale, looking like he was about to die, he was quite handsome.

His injuries were severe, and ordinary herbs on the island probably wouldn’t heal them.

She poured half a cup of Spiritual Spring into Jiang Zhi’s mouth, feeling that it should be enough to bring him back to life.

The Spiritual Spring is not inexhaustible, but if the planting space continues to upgrade, there will naturally be more of it.

Ah Chen slipped the bamboo segment through his belt and moved him to a dry place.

Otherwise, a wave might wash him back into the sea.

If unnecessary, she didn’t plan to replace Jiang Zhi for the story’s male lead to follow the plot.

The power of the Spiritual Spring was indeed impressive. Jiang Zhi emerged from a dream to find himself moving, not walking on his own, nor was he being carried, but rather... a green bamboo segment was slipped through his belt, supporting him.

Holding the green bamboo segment was a young girl in a red wedding dress, resembling the woman he saw in the dream.

But wasn’t the experience in the dream different?

In the dream, the woman checked his breath to make sure he was alive and exhausted herself to drag him into a cave on the island.

How was it as easy as this?

Was the dream fake after all?

But... the dream felt so real, and there were some magical elements, like a planting space on the young girl’s body, which seemed more connected to him...

Thinking about these things, Jiang Zhi didn’t struggle to get down.

Coming back to his senses, he realized he was still moving, already some distance from the shore, and just as he was about to speak, he was put down.

Only now did he clearly see the young girl’s appearance.

As beautiful as in the dream, but quite different.

The girl in the dream was clearly pampered, with her emotions displayed on her face, unable to hide anything, a bit temperamental. These traits made her lively and captivating.

Among the people he knew, he’d never seen anything like that.

Whereas this girl before him, although she saved him, seemed indifferent. He didn’t feel she was particularly kind or merciful and felt she didn’t care whether he lived or died.

Why did she save him then?

He didn’t know, but perhaps he’d find out soon.

Would the planting space from the dream still be there with her?

If faced with this girl, could he still benefit from the planting space?

Using a bamboo segment to lift him, she couldn’t be simple; the answer was obvious.

Jiang Zhi discreetly observed her, and Ah Chen glanced at him.

In the Imperial Family, having schemes and calculations is normal, she wasn’t concerned. Without schemes, without a hard heart, how could one achieve anything? How to rule the world?

”Woken up?” she asked.

Jiang Zhi quickly nodded: ”Yes,” then stood up and bowed to Ah Chen. ”Thank you for saving my life. I am Jiang Zhi. May I know your name, Miss?”

He originally thought to use a pseudonym, but swallowed it back and stated his real name.

He wasn’t sure whether the planting space existed or not, but he didn’t want to offend this master.

”Ah Chen.” She replied, also scrutinizing Jiang Zhi.

He seemed different from the Jiang Zhi the Commissioner first met. She noticed his surprised expression and his thoughtful eyes earlier.

Could it be he had found out about the planting space in her possession?

Ah Chen still wasn’t concerned; the item was hers, and if she didn’t want to give it, he couldn’t forcefully take it.

But now, it seemed he wouldn’t dare to grab it and was even contemplating its existence.

So, was it a dream he had?

After the Commissioner self-destructed eighteen times, the power of the plot should also feel helpless. Finally, this time, the ”female lead” came to the deserted island without self-destructing, so the plot power gave the ”male lead” Jiang Zhi a little assist, logically.

It must be getting anxious too.

If it continued to be destroyed, this world would be impossible to establish.

The plot power favors the protagonists, but when the world fully develops and the plot ends, the power blends with the natural order, favoring the protagonists but would not blindly lean toward them.

Can’t blame it.

And the same name as in the dream!

Jiang Zhi paused, trusting the dream somewhat because it was too detailed.

But the girl before him had some differences from the one in the dream, emitting an air that made him hesitant to provoke her.

She wasn’t to be trifled with.

Even though the planting space was tempting, he had no means right now.

The girl was not one to be moved by material wealth, a true master, and this feeling was never wrong.

Jiang Zhi sighed inwardly. Of course, he wanted a master to aid him, which would make seizing the throne much easier.

As for scheming against such a master’s possessions, he feared he was tired of living.

Being able to save one’s life was already a blessing.

Ah Chen observed Jiang Zhi’s expression clearly; he was tall, a martial artist with strength, weeding and planting should be manageable for him.

Exchanging labor for payment, he should be willing.

Jiang Zhi fell silent, feeling like a sheep entering a tiger’s den.

He felt troubled, only focusing on not provoking the master, not considering what the master might do to him, lamenting the difference between dream and reality.

Indeed, everyone loves sweet dreams.

”Are you hungry?” Ah Chen asked.

As she said this, Jiang Zhi’s stomach growled, his pale face blushing slightly, how embarrassing.

”There’s game in the forest you can hunt,” she said.

”There are fish in the sea you can catch too.”

”Or you can eat wild fruits.”

The Spiritual Spring indeed was impressive, just half a cup almost healed Jiang Zhi’s wounds, with his martial skills, hunting and fishing weren’t an issue.

Jiang Zhi: ...

He was indeed hungry, thanked her, and went into the forest.

Sparing his life was already her kindness, he couldn’t expect her to hunt for him too.

She was still in a red wedding dress, Jiang Zhi pondered over this as he went into the forest.

In the forest, Jiang Zhi hunted a rabbit, picked some wild fruit, and returned. He had a dagger, skinning was no issue.

But his fire starter was unusable.

After soaking in the sea too long, it was ruined.

Staring at the bloody rabbit meat, Jiang Zhi brought the wild fruits to Ah Chen: ”The fire starter isn’t usable, so for now I can only offer wild fruits to stave off hunger, hoping Miss Chu would not mind.”

Ah Chen glanced at the kindled firewood, flicked a finger, and a flame fell on it.

This one was for helping her with farming, only eating wild fruits wouldn’t do, if he got too thin, he’d lack strength.

As for when to make him farm, she’d decide later, weeding and planting wasn’t urgent.

Jiang Zhi’s eyes flashed with surprise, saying: ”Thank you, Miss Chu.” Truly a master!

He then began to roast the meat; back in the forest, he found some spices and honey, although without salt, it wouldn’t taste too good.
