A Journey That Changed The World.

Chapter 1172: Are They Still Alive

When the big humanoid heard this, he nodded excitedly while answering, ʼʼVery good, there are many monsters to hunt and eat. Weʼve built homes for everyone and still have enough space.ʼʼ

Archer smiled when hearing Korakʼs excitement about their new home. He quickly spoke, which excited the Vorrukhm even more, ʼʼIʼm having my wife design armor and weapons for your people. Do you still want to be my bodyguards?ʼʼ

ʼʼYes, Master! We want to become the royal family protectors,ʼʼ Korak answered in a respectful tone. ʼʼYou have given us a new life that will want to return to favor.ʼʼ

ʼʼThen thatʼs what you will become Korak. Choose one hundred of your finest warriors and Iʼll have my wife Dellah bring your equipment when itʼs done,ʼʼ he informed the Vorrukhm King.

Following that, they continued chatting until Grak hugged him from behind as he exclaimed, ʼʼMy Friend! Iʼve missed you.ʼʼ

Archer started laughing as the young Vorrukhm put him down while patting his shoulder. ʼʼThank you for this place. Itʼs so big that me and the gang took days to explore around the camp.ʼʼ

ʼʼThatʼs good, just be careful out there Grak,ʼʼ he replied with a chuckle. ʼʼMany powerful monsters are lurking in the darkness.ʼʼ

When the young prince heard this, he quickly nodded like a chicken. ʼʼYes, Mama told me she saw a group of Broodmaws lurking nearby.ʼʼ

After that, Grak wandered off as he turned to Korak and revealed, ʼʼI will return when I have your equipment, then Iʼll let the current Imperial Guard help you get situated with your duties.ʼʼ

The king nodded before getting back to his tribe. Archer watched him leave before teleporting back to the real world. He reappeared in Hemeraʼs room and noticed the sun elf was still sleeping.

With a yawn, he crawled back into bed, causing her to cuddle up to him with a sweet smile. Archer soon fell asleep after becoming comfortable. Hours later, a knock on the door woke the couple up.

Ella burst in with a worried expression as she exclaimed, ʼʼFrostfallen and Orientia have fully joined the Alliance! Itʼs now the world against us.ʼʼ

Upon hearing this, Archer chuckled before responding, ʼʼDonʼt worry about it El, wait until my projects are completed.ʼʼ

The half-elf nodded, ʼʼNefertiti, Leira, and Meredith are waiting for you at the entrance. What are you up to?ʼʼ she said with a smile.

Archer got out of bed with a chuckle when seeing Ellaʼs curious expression. He quickly explained, ʼʼThey are working on the Steel Legion Project. Itʼs where we offer the mutilated soldiers a second chance at life by undergoing the Steel Process.ʼʼ

ʼʼStell Process?ʼʼ Hemera questioned in a tired voice while rubbing her eyes.

ʼʼYes, I came up with a way to create super soldiers that will serve as our bodyguards and shock troopers,ʼʼ he answered the golden-haired elf.

She nodded with a smile before Ella asked, ʼʼAre they still alive?ʼʼ

ʼʼThey are,ʼʼ Archer replied, his tone confident. ʼʼThe experiment enhances their power through the procedure I devised, but Leira will refine it further as they collaborate.ʼʼ With that, he leaned in and kissed Ella gently.

The blonde melted into his embrace, returning the kiss as she steadied herself against his chest. When they finally parted, she glanced up at him, her half-elf eyes alight with understanding.

ʼʼSo thatʼs why the Guard has been bringing veterans to the entrance,ʼʼ she remarked.

Archer nodded with a warm smile and said, ʼʼYou two, Iʼll go meet the others and handle the project.ʼʼ

Ella and Hemera both agreed, bidding him farewell as they turned to each other and began chatting. With a last glance, Archer left the room before heading toward the entrance where Nefi, Leira, and Mere were waiting.

Ten minutes later, he arrived in the foyer, where the group eagerly welcomed him. The succubus stepped forward first, wrapping him in a warm embrace with a radiant smile. ʼʼHusband! Weʼve agreed on a place to begin, but we need somewhere to start the project.ʼʼ

He listened intently, his mind already racing with possibilities while thinking. ʼIʼll build it in the Domain to keep it hidden.ʼ

With a charming smile, Archer turned to the three women. ʼʼI have an idea,ʼʼ he said confidently. ʼʼWeʼll need to keep it hidden from most people, so Iʼll build you a new lab.ʼʼ

The women exchanged glances and nodded in agreement. Without wasting time, Archer opened a portal to the Domain and stepped through, the trio following closely behind. When they appeared in an empty part with mountains in the distance.

Leira looked around with wide eyes as she questioned, ʼʼWhy does this place feel bigger?ʼʼ

Archer chuckled before replying, ʼʼIt is. Iʼd say itʼs the size of Thrylos by now and is a world in itself.ʼʼ

ʼʼSo youʼre a god?ʼʼ Meredith exclaimed in shock.

This made everyone laugh as Nefertiti explained while giggling, ʼʼNo Mere, itʼs just mana. He cannot create people or monsters, just non-living objects.ʼʼ

When the blonde maid heard this, she nodded in understanding, causing Archer to close his eyes before creating a massive lab for the three, along with a workshop for Dellah and leaving quarters for the test subjects.

Minutes later, he raised a mountain above the buildings and the only entrance was a long tunnel that would keep the secrets safe. Once Archer was done, he turned to the trio, who were staring at him with wide eyes.

Leira turned to the pink-haired woman before commenting, ʼʼAnd youʼre sure he isnʼt a good?ʼʼ

ʼʼIʼm a Demi-God,ʼʼ Archer spoke up while motioning toward the entrance as he spoke, ʼʼGo check out your workspace, Iʼll go get the soldiers and make sure they understand what theyʼre getting into.ʼʼ

The three women quickly kissed him as they rushed into their new lab. He watched them leave before teleporting back to the palace entrance and making his way toward the injured soldiers.

Five minutes later, Archer arrived at a side hall where three hundred men and women with many permanent injuries waited. When they spotted him, they saluted, which made him smile before speaking. ʼʼI asked for you to come here as I have an offer that could give you back your lives but in service to me and my family.ʼʼ

When the humans, elves, demi-humans, and demons heard this, worry etched across their faces. A woman, her body marked with scars and burns, stepped forward hesitantly and asked, her voice tinged with fear, ʼʼWill we be slaves?ʼʼ

Archer shook his head, ʼʼNo, but you wonʼt be the same anymore. I will turn you into deadly weapons that will be feared across Thrylos,ʼʼ he revealed, which excited the crowd.

The woman nodded before a man spoke up. ʼʼAnd what is our goal?ʼʼ

ʼʼTo protect the Draconia Royal Family, my palaces, and act as my elite soldiers in the Great War,ʼʼ he answered the wheelchair-bound Legionnaire.

Archer turned to the crowd while speaking, ʼʼThis is my only offer, I came up with it to help the crippled soldiers fight again, over time the kingdom will see it as a great honor to join the Steel Legion as the citizens see them as protectors.ʼʼ

ʼʼWhat about training?ʼʼ a young demon woman commented.

ʼʼIʼll have the best teachers train you in everything,ʼʼ Archer replied confidently, his tone reassuring. ʼʼAnd Iʼll ensure the Steel Legion receives the finest armor and weapons before the regular army.ʼʼ

When the soldiers heard this, they looked interested, causing him to seal the deal. ʼʼEach family will get forty gold coins per month. Iʼll pay it personally so everyone here knows Iʼm serious.ʼʼ

That sold it as their eyes gleamed with loyalty and respect. Everyone wanted to join, which made Archer smile before turning to the Imperial Guard Commander and throwing him a pouch of gold. ʼʼTake this to their families. You have a list of all the people here?ʼʼ

The man nodded and saluted before leaving the hall as he turned to the crowd. ʼʼStay here. Iʼm going to make sure your rooms are ready.ʼʼ

Following that, Archer returned to the Domain and summoned a cohort of Imperial Guard who looked confused but he quickly explained. ʼʼYou will guard this place and the three queens within. Iʼll rotate you in a couple of months and build you a barracks.ʼʼ

When the soldiers heard him, they saluted as he got to work creating an apartment block right outside the Steel Legion Lab. Minutes later, he turned to the commanders. ʼʼSpeak to Queen Leira to see where youʼre needed.ʼʼ

Once Archer was finished talking, he sent a message to the cat woman. She asked to be summoned, and as she appeared, a bright smile lit up her face at the sight of him. ʼʼHaving the Imperial Guard here during the experiments will be incredibly useful,ʼʼ she remarked warmly.

ʼʼGo for it, I can send more if you need,ʼʼ he replied before kissing her on the forehead.

Leira beamed and rushed to the lab while giving the soldierʼs orders. Archer watched as ten of them stood at the entrance of the cave as others checked out the barracks he built for them.
