Pregnant During An Apocalypse [BL]

Chapter 268: Chapter 268 - Whispers in the Dark *

Panting, Jai stared at the translucent streaks swirling down the drain, his face burning with a mixture of shame and lingering pleasure. The water was hot, nearly scalding, but it did nothing to cleanse the heat still coiled deep within him. His breath came in ragged bursts, his chest rising and falling rapidly as if he had run a marathon instead of just... that.

’Ugh, what am I even doing...? This... this is too shameful... When did I become so lewd?’

The water washed away the evidence, but not the memory—his body still hummed with the aftershocks of something new, something he hadn’t expected. His skin tingled, oversensitive, every nerve ending alight with the ghost of his own touch. He had never indulged like this before, never let himself want like this. And now that he had, he wasn’t sure he could stop.

He stepped out of the shower, droplets clinging to his flushed skin, the cool air raising goosebumps along his arms. The mirror was fogged, the glass streaked with condensation, but even through the haze, his reflection was undeniable.

His breath hitched.

What the hell...?

His face wasn’t just flushed—it was crimson, his cheeks stained a deep, mortified red, the kind that spread down his neck and painted his collarbones in a telltale blush. His lips, slightly parted, looked swollen, as if he’d been biting them, sucking on them, begging without words. And his eyes—

Oh god, his eyes.

His pupils were blown wide, dark and dilated, swallowing nearly all the color of his irises. They glittered with an unnatural sheen, almost predatory, like some seductive fox from the folktales his grandfather used to tell him. A shiver ran down his spine, his stomach tightening at the sight.

I look... dangerous.

And then there were his nipples.

Jai’s breath stuttered as he glanced down. They weren’t the small, barely-there buds he was used to—no, now they were swollen, reddened from his earlier teasing, standing taut and sensitive against his chest. Just the brush of the air against them made him shudder, his fingers twitching with the urge to touch them again.

He shouldn’t. He shouldn’t.

But his hand moved anyway.

Gently, he rolled the nub between his fingers, his breath catching as a sharp jolt of pleasure shot through him. His reflection watched, lips parting in a silent gasp as the beautiful pink bud darkened into a bright shade of red, the skin around it flushed with arousal.

No. No, no, no—

But his body didn’t listen. Heat coiled low in his stomach, his traitorous cock already stirring back to life, thickening against his thigh.

”Fuck this!” he hissed under his breath, squeezing his eyes shut.

He knew what would happen if he gave in. And yet—

His hands moved on their own, fingers brushing over his oversensitive nipples, and a sharp gasp tore from his throat. It was too easy now—his body remembered, craved it. Within minutes, he was shuddering against the sink, biting his lip to stifle another moan as release ripped through him, his hips jerking forward helplessly.

Pathetic. I’m so fucking pathetic.

Trembling, he cleaned himself up again, his skin still feverish. He yanked on his clothes with jerky movements, desperate to cover himself, to hide from whatever this was.

His grandfather hadn’t stirred. The old man lay motionless, his breathing deep and even.

Thank god.

Jai’s throat burned like he’d swallowed sand. The water bottle on the nightstand was empty. He licked his parched lips, debating whether to wait until morning—but the dryness was unbearable.

Gritting his teeth, he crept out of the room and into the darkened hallway.

The house was pitch black.

No nightlights. No moonlight filtering through windows. Just an oppressive, suffocating darkness.

His pulse thundered in his ears as he shuffled forward, one hand skimming the wall for guidance. The unfamiliar layout made every step treacherous. His bare feet brushed against cold tile, then rough carpet—then—

Warm skin.

Jai froze.

A gasp lodged in his throat.

Before he could let out a loud squeak, a hand cupped his mouth, and a warm arm pulled him into a firm back hug. The sudden contact made him stiffen, but then—that familiar embrace, that unmistakable agar wood scent—Shao.

Jai’s racing heart slowed just a fraction. He sighed, relaxing slightly, and moved Shao’s hand from his mouth.

”What are you doing out here in the dark?” Shao’s voice was soft, but Jai could hear the faint panting in his breath, as if he had rushed here.

”Are you okay, Shao?” Jai tried to turn in his arms, but before he could, a pair of soft lips gently kissed the nape of his neck.

An electric jolt shot down his spine, making his entire body jerk. That familiar heat flared up again, undeniable and overwhelming. His cheeks burned, and to his horror, his cock hardened instantly, straining against his pants.

No, no, no—

Internally crying, Jai tried to wriggle out of Shao’s hold, but the man only tightened his grip, keeping him securely in place.

”You were doing naughty things all by yourself,” Shao whispered, his voice low and throaty, right against Jai’s ear.

Jai gasped. ”W-What?! I didn’t do anything!”

”Really...?” Shao’s tone was teasing, dark with amusement. ”I can smell it... that sweet caramel. It made me sleepless, Jai...” His lips slowly grazed against the back of his neck, leaving behind a wet warmth.

Jai gasped loudly, gripping the pair of thick arms encircling him. ”W-Wait... I... it’s too much...”

Without warning, Shao pulled Jai into the kitchen and lifted him onto the counter, the cold surface a stark contrast to the feverish warmth of his own skin.

Shao’s hands roamed downward, fingers brushing over the front of Jai’s pants, where the evidence of his earlier indulgence was impossible to hide.

”Mnn... Shao... d-don’t...” Jai whimpered, grabbing his wrist weakly. ”It... it will go away...”

But Shao only smirked before sliding down, pulling Jai’s shirt up with one hand. His lips pressed against Jai’s navel, and Jai shuddered violently at the contact.

”I want to taste it...” Shao murmured, his breath hot against Jai’s skin. ”My sweet caramel.”

Jai’s mind went blank.

The world narrowed to the sensation of Shao’s mouth trailing lower, his tongue flicking against the sensitive skin just above the waistband of his pants. His fingers trembled, gripping the edge of the counter as Shao’s teeth grazed his hipbone, a soft, possessive bite that sent sparks shooting through his veins.

”S-Shao—”

A hand slipped beneath the fabric, fingers wrapping around him, and Jai’s back arched off the counter, a broken moan spilling from his lips.

He was lost.

And he never wanted to be found.
