Soon, the two of them arrived at a well-furnished study, where all the tables and chairs were made of a high-quality dark reddish wood that appeared to be of considerable age, emitting a faint scent of raw wood.

Rein immediately saw the prism-shaped crystal Naya had spoken of on the wide mahogany desk.

It was a long prism around one meter tall, with equilateral triangular faces, reflecting colorful lights under the illumination of the candlelight.

“Lord Rein, since you’ve used the Crystal Ball, the method is actually the same. You hold it, concentrate your spirit, and then try to mobilize the mysterious side energy particles as much as possible,” Naya explained the usage by the side.

“Alright, Miss Naya,” Rein nodded.

After quickly inspecting it, Rein began to grasp the crystal prism with both hands, closed his eyes, and concentrated his spirit.

As Rein’s spiritual power infused into it, the prism soon emitted a soft white light, and at the same time, different colors of light began to surge within the transparent crystal.

Seconds later, the light gradually stabilized.

At that moment, Rein opened his eyes and saw a cluster of red mist at the top layer of the prism-shaped crystal and a faint silver mist in the middle, with both occupying almost the same length on the crystal’s scale.

Although there were slight differences, they were just minor.

The rest were a mixture of miscellaneous colors, almost of every shade.

“Oh, Lord Rein, besides the common Fire Element affinity, you actually have an extremely rare Metal Element affinity,” Naya said with some surprise as she looked at Rein.

Huh?

Metal Element affinity?

Rein was taken aback!

So that faint silver mysterious side energy particle was Metal Element?

When the answer was revealed, Rein realized that he seemed to have always overlooked something.

That was his Transcendent trait ’Iron Skin lv3’. When he first used it, he perceived the same faint silver light with his spiritual power.

“Your Fire Element affinity is 71, and Metal Element affinity is 72, both are above average in strength, quite good!”

However… Naya seemed to quickly think of something, frowning as she said to Rein,”Lord Rein, it’s such a pity!”

“A pity?” Rein didn’t quite understand what Naya meant.

From Naya’s expression just now, his Metal Element affinity should be considered rare and uncommon.

Shouldn’t rarity be equated with value?

“Yes! You possess a Metal Element affinity, and judging by the level of affinity, it’s also above average,”

“However, you do not come from a large wizard family nor have you joined a wizard faction, so there is almost no way for you to acquire the scarce Metal series witchcraft,” Naya explained regretfully.

Upon hearing Naya’s explanation, a sense of alarm went through Rein’s heart.

No way to acquire Metal series witchcraft?

Rein immediately grasped Naya’s meaning.

It was like learning the ’Dragon Slaying Technique’, but turning around to find out that there were no dragons left in the world…

He had a rare Metal Element affinity, yet there was no way to get Metal series witchcraft…

“Your Metal Element affinity, if it were thousands of years ago, countless wizard factions would be scrambling for you, but with the rise of the Empire and the demise of many factions, the already scarce Metal series witchcraft, what is handed down is even rarer….”

“That’s why it’s such a pity,” Naya sighed deeply as she explained in detail.

“Well… my advice to you is still to consider a first-level Fire series witchcraft as the solidified witchcraft model when you are promoted to a full-fledged Wizard, as this will be relatively easier to find,” Naya suggested after a moment’s thought.

Rein nodded, understanding Naya’s point.

Since Metal series witchcraft passed down is scarce, then choosing the relatively well-preserved Fire series witchcraft would at least provide more avenues for acquisition.

However…

’Solidified witchcraft model’

’Innate wizardry’

What do they mean?

Rein timely asked about his confusion.

“Miss Naya, this innate wizardry….”

“I apologize, I forgot to tell you,” Naya said with an apologetic smile.

“When a third-level Wizard Apprentice is promoted to a full-fledged Wizard, one generally needs to choose a first-level witchcraft as the solidified model to form innate wizardry upon advancing,”

“It’s like the innate abilities that some ferocious wild beasts carry with them,”

“Innate wizardry is almost equivalent to a Wizard’s innate ability, characterized by significantly lower spiritual power consumption and extremely fast casting speeds,”

Pausing, as if waiting for Rein to digest her words, Naya continued:

“Over the years, Wizards have discovered that defensive first-level witchcraft is the best choice for the solidified witchcraft model. Now, this is also commonly accepted,”

“As for choosing offensive witchcraft? Of course, it’s not impossible, and many Wizards in the Ancient Times chose offensive witchcraft,”

“But it was later found that, when facing assassin attacks or assassination attempts, or against creatures or evil spirits with invisibility, one could be sent back to the Goddess’s embrace in one blow,”

Rein nodded, beginning to understand.

“By the way, Miss Naya, where might I find a first-level Fire series witchcraft?” After thinking for a while, Rein asked a key question.

“Er… these are mostly held by medium to large wizard factions and the Empire. Comparatively, there are more factions for the four major elements. With your wizard qualifications, there’s a good chance you’ll pass the assessment and be able to join,”
