Genetic Engineer in a Tamer's World

The morning sun rose over Emberheart, casting golden light across the Fleshcraft Tower’s high stone spires. In the quiet fourth-floor laboratory, the soft orange glow of the Ignis Core pulsed in steady harmony with the Aqua Matrix’s azure radiance.

Kale Ardentis sat at his central stone workbench, his green eyes scanning the detailed blueprints spread before him. Beside his surgical tools sat the fourth glass vial extracted from the Ancient rank elemental core, glowing with a howling, light green vapour.

The fourth vial contained the pure wind elemental essence, swirling violently within the heat-resistant glass container. With fire, earth, and water now anchored within Neo’s marrow, the wind attribute was the next essential component needed for complete elemental resonance.

Beneath his headband, Kale activated his energy vision, his green eyes shimmering with a cold light as he observed the vapour. The internal channels of the wind essence swirled in a chaotic, high-speed vortex that threatened to rupture standard glass if unsealed without preparation.

The heavy steel door of the laboratory unbolted with a sharp mechanical click as Lazek Oberon walked inside. The Fleshcraft Grandmaster set a sealed brass scroll case on the wooden table and took a slow puff from his curved smoking pipe.

’Prince Renard’s raid on the eastern laboratory was a total success, disciple.’

Lazek announced, blowing a thin ring of grey smoke toward the high stone ceiling.

’Dorn Morrow’s private faction has been completely dismantled, and the High Council has stripped House Morrow of its official voting rights.’

Kale did not look up from his research parchments, his hand remaining completely steady as he dipped his feather pen into dark ink.

’A fitting end for a foolish house, Master.’

’Indeed.’

Lazek agreed, a cold, analytical glint flashing in his dark eyes.

’However, the sudden collapse of House Morrow has created an immediate political vacuum among the capital noble lineages. The Divine Fist Sect is already attempting to claim Morrow’s abandoned territory in the eastern district.’

’Let them scramble for the scraps.’

Kale replied flatly, setting his pen aside on the stone table.

’Our priority remains the consolidation of Neo’s elemental pathways.’

A sudden, rhythmic knock echoed off the iron-reinforced entrance before Lazek could speak again. The protective runic arrays along the steel frame flared softly with golden light, signalling Rando’s arrival.

Lazek unbolted the iron locks with a heavy turn of the brass key and pulled the door open, revealing the prince’s hooded shadow. Rando stepped inside and offered a short, respectful bow to both Fleshcrafters.

’His Highness sends his deepest gratitude, Master Kale.’

Rando stated in a low, polite voice that barely carried beyond the stone threshold.

’The evidence recovered from the aqueducts allowed the imperial guard to seize House Morrow’s entire asset ledger. Prince Renard has transferred twenty thousand Accredit to your private Association account as your official reward.’

Kale accepted the transfer token from Rando, his expression remaining completely calm and guarded.

’Tell the Prince that our collaboration has proven mutually beneficial.’

’His Highness also wished to inform you that High Inquisitor Luke has been recalled to the High Cathedral for emergency consultations.’

Rando revealed, a sharp, satisfied glint flashing in his yellow eyes.

’House Morrow’s treasonous plot against the royal estate has forced the Dragon Church to pull back its watchers from the tower gates.’

Rando bowed once more and departed through the secret lift to return to the royal palace. The heavy steel door locked once again, returning the private laboratory to its peaceful, isolated state.

Kale turned his full focus back to the central stone table, his green eyes shimmering with sharp focus as he reactivated his energy vision. The time had arrived to begin the delicate extraction and refinement of the wind elemental stream.

The light green vapour swirled violently inside the fourth vial, eager to expand into the open air. To integrate this volatile wind catalyst without causing aerodynamic friction or muscular tearing within Neo’s flight muscles, Kale needed to construct a dedicated filtration matrix.

He unrolled a fresh sheet of parchment and drew the precise gene-splicing equations for the Zephyr Matrix. He incorporated biological samples from the Spirit Wind Roc and the Zephyr Kestrel, creating a fluid energetic buffer that could cushion the high-frequency vibrations.

Neo emerged from Kale’s shadow without waiting for a command, hopping onto the stone workbench with fluid, eager movements. The hydra’s three heads arched high, its six golden eyes fixed on the glowing, light-green vial with intense, disciplined focus.

’Patience, Neo.’

Kale murmured, stroking the central head’s scales to calm the beast’s rising excitement.

’We must filter the raw vapour through the Zephyr Matrix before routing it into your internal pathways.’

Kale retrieved five heat-resistant containers and a silver surgical needle, arranging them carefully on the stone surface in a precise arc. His hands moved with absolute physical stability, guided by his Hexarion physiology and unified Trinity Crafting skill.

He poured a stream of his refined mana into the wind Roc biological sample, breaking down its cellular membrane into a swirling, light green liquid catalyst. The fluid hummed with pure wind energy, creating a soft, refreshing draft that cooled the entire laboratory.

Kale then unsealed the fourth Ancient rank vial, using his Lesser Mana Manipulation to guide the light green vapour through the silver needle. He compressed the howling vapour directly into the prepared Zephyr Matrix fluid.

The neutral catalyst absorbed the Ancient rank vapour instantly, its liquid body pulsing with a bright, swirling radiance. The Zephyr Matrix acted as a pneumatic buffer, stripping away the chaotic friction and violent turbulence from the ancient wind essence.

Kale guided the purified wind stream through his taming bond, routing the refined energy directly into Neo’s internal pathways. The shared link hummed with a sharp, refreshing draft that washed over the hydra’s chest and wing nodes.

The three-headed hydra let out a deep, satisfied trill as the invigorating wind energy spread through its flight muscles and marrow. The green scales along its back and wings shimmered with a polished, vibrant sheen as the core absorbed the stream.

Neo’s aerial propulsion increased exponentially, the wind essence harmonising perfectly with the existing fire, earth, and water pathways without a trace of energetic conflict. The internal balance between the four elements was absolute.

Blue text windows flickered rapidly across Kale’s retina, logging the integration metrics in real time. The system recorded the rapid consolidation of the internal core and the dramatic increase in overall wind affinity.

[The Nemesis Hydra has absorbed refined Ancient rank Wind Essence through the Zephyr Matrix filter.]

[Wind Affinity increased by 6%. Current Wind Affinity: 92%.]

[Flight agility and aerial propulsion capacity increased by 40%.]

[The Nemesis Hydra has unlocked the skill: Zephyr Matrix.]

Kale read the status notifications with a sharp, satisfied smile. The buffer method using the wind matrix had eliminated the risk of internal muscular tearing during high-speed aerial manoeuvres.

Lazek Oberon walked over to the workbench, taking a slow puff from his pipe as he inspected the hydra’s shifting energy signature. The Fleshcraft Grandmaster nodded in deep professional approval as he observed the seamless flow of mana.

’The quadrupedal elemental harmony is nearly complete, disciple.’

Lazek noted, his dark eyes shining with quiet, profound satisfaction.

’Four of the five primary streams are now anchored within your beast without triggering a single genetic rejection cascade.’

’Only the light elemental stream remains, Master.’

Kale explained, unrolling his research parchment onto the central stone table.

’Once the light essence is integrated, Neo will possess complete elemental resonance, providing the foundation for its next major evolution.’

’That final stream will require an exceptionally pure catalyst.’

Lazek remarked, walking toward the wide glass window overlooking the southern sector.

’The light element is delicate, prone to scattering or degrading if touched by volatile mana during the extraction process.’

’I have already calculated the necessary parameters for its refinement, Master.’

Kale replied flatly, his green eyes shimmering with cold determination.

’I will construct the Radiant Matrix using the golden fluid from the fifth vial, filtering the essence through my Hexarion physiology.’

Lazek looked out the window at the bustling capital streets far below. The morning sun illuminated the distant spires of the central district, reflecting brightly off the grand dome of the Association’s main tower.

’The capital is quiet for now, Kale.’

Lazek noted in a low, contemplative tone.

’House Morrow’s fall has stunned our political rivals, but the Divine Fist Sect will not remain idle while the royal family expands its influence.’

’Let them make their move, Master.’

Kale said flatly, storing the empty fourth vial into his spatial storage.

’Every obstacle they place in our path is merely another source of raw material for our project.’

Neo hopped onto Kale’s shoulder, its three heads arching high as its dark scales settled into a deep, matte black. The four elemental streams of earth, fire, water, and wind were now harmonised within its marrow, building an unshakeable foundation.

Kale picked up his feather pen, dipped the tip into dark ink, and began logging the finalised metrics onto his research parchment. His hands moved with absolute physical stability, guided by his Hexarion physiology and unified Trinity Crafting skill.

He mapped out the final phase of the Elemental Resonance Project, focusing on the blueprints for the fifth and final light elemental stream. With four elements perfectly balanced, the Genetic Engineer was ready for the final breakthrough toward Neo’s ultimate ascension.

Kale adjusted his grey headband over his hidden gold mesh seal, his posture remaining completely composed and resolute.
