Genetic Engineer in a Tamer's World

The heavy iron doors of the Fleshcraft Tower laboratory locked with a firm mechanical click as Kale Ardentis and Grandmaster Lazek Oberon returned from the subterranean aqueducts.

The research room’s quiet atmosphere welcomed them, lit by the soft orange glow of the Ignis Core pulsing steadily in its glass vat near the central stone table.

Kale unsealed his heavy leather coat and set it on the central stone workbench. Inside, the pristine central water node, extracted from the deceased Azure Leviathan, radiated a serene cobalt light that cooled the laboratory’s ambient temperature within seconds and dispelled the remaining humidity.

Beside the glowing water sample lay the sealed jade tube recovered from the unconscious House Morrow assassin. Lazek picked up the tube with a calm motion, inspecting the runic seal blocking its brass cap with his dark analytical eyes as he stepped closer.

The Fleshcraft Grandmaster took a slow puff from his curved smoking pipe, blowing a thin ring of grey smoke toward the high stone ceiling as he processed the discovery.

’Dorn Morrow has crossed the final boundary.’

Lazek noted, his voice carrying a cold and dangerous register that echoed off the stone walls.

’Attempting to contaminate the royal estate water supply is an act of open treason against the crown.’

’The map inside provides irrefutable evidence, Master.’

Kale replied flatly, unrolling his research parchment beside the central workbench.

’Prince Renard can now dismantle House Morrow’s underground networks without needing the High Council’s approval.’

The discovery of the secret map confirmed their worst suspicions regarding House Morrow’s desperate struggle to regain political leverage in the capital.

Having failed to eliminate Kale during the public audit at the Imperial Plaza, the noble house had turned to covert sabotage against the royal family.

A sudden, rhythmic knock echoed off the iron-reinforced entrance before Lazek could reply. The protective runic arrays along the heavy steel frame flared softly with a golden light, signalling the presence of an imperial messenger.

Lazek unbolted the heavy iron locks with a heavy turn of the key, pulling the door open to reveal Rando standing in the dim stone corridor.

The prince’s shadow stepped inside, his yellow eyes immediately locking onto the sealed jade tube resting on the wooden table.

’His Highness received word of the disturbance beneath the central district.’

Rando stated in a low voice that barely carried beyond the threshold.

’The imperial guards have already secured the aqueducts, but we require the recovered evidence.’

Kale picked up the jade tube and handed it to Rando without hesitation.

’The tube contains the complete schematics of Morrow’s underground distribution network, including their primary staging laboratory beneath the eastern district.’

Rando accepted the tube, a sharp, satisfied glint flashing in his eyes as he offered a deep, formal bow toward both Fleshcrafters.

’This evidence is absolute. Prince Renard has already mobilised twenty gold-armoured guards to launch an immediate raid on the eastern laboratory.’

’Tell the Prince that the Association will not interfere with his purge.’

Lazek added coldly, taking another slow puff from his smoking pipe.

’House Morrow brought this destruction upon themselves through their own foolish desperation.’

Rando bowed once more, departing through the secret lift to deliver the evidence directly to the prince.

The heavy steel door locked once again, returning the private laboratory to its peaceful isolated standby state.

Kale turned his full attention back to the central stone table, his green eyes shimmering with sharp focus as he activated his energy vision.

The primary elemental attributes were gradually falling into place, constructing a biological bridge that would carry Neo toward its eventual breakthrough.

With three of the five refined streams fully anchored within its marrow, the hydra possessed unprecedented energetic resilience.

The time had come to finalise the third major milestone of the Elemental Resonance Project.

Beside the glowing Azure Leviathan sample sat the third glass vial, extracted from the Ancient-rank elemental core.

The serene azure liquid inside held the pure, uncorrupted water essence required for Neo’s next evolution.

To safely integrate this aquatic catalyst without triggering a genetic rejection cascade, he needed to filter the raw Ancient-rank energy through the Leviathan biological matrix.

Neo emerged from Kale’s shadow without waiting for a command, hopping onto the stone workbench with fluid movements.

The hydra’s three heads arched high, its six golden eyes fixed on the glowing water sample with intense, disciplined focus.

’Patience, Neo.’

Kale murmured, stroking the central head’s scales to calm the beast’s rising excitement.

’We must filter the raw essence through the Azure Leviathan matrix before routing it into your marrow.’

Kale retrieved five heat-resistant vials and a silver surgical needle, arranging them carefully in a precise arc on the stone surface.

His hands moved with absolute physical stability, guided by his Hexarion physiology and unified Trinity Crafting skill.

He poured a stream of his refined mana into the Azure Leviathan water node, breaking down its dense cellular membrane into a liquid biological catalyst.

The cobalt fluid hummed with pure aquatic energy, instantly absorbing the stray heat in the laboratory.

Kale then unsealed the third Ancient rank vial, using his Lesser Mana Manipulation to guide the azure water essence through the silver needle.

He dropped the concentrated essence directly into the prepared Leviathan catalyst.

The neutral azure fluid absorbed the Ancient rank essence instantly, its cobalt body pulsing with a bright, refined radiance.

The Leviathan matrix acted as an energetic buffer, stripping away the raw volatile friction from the ancient core.

Kale guided the purified water stream through his taming bond, routing the energy directly into Neo’s internal pathways.

The shared link hummed with a soothing aquatic coolness that washed over the hydra chest.

The three-headed hydra let out a deep, satisfied trill as the refreshing coolness spread through its marrow.

The orange scales along its necks shimmered with a polished, vibrant sheen as the half-flame core absorbed the balancing stream.

The incoming water essence instantly neutralised the intense thermal friction generated by the Flame Core.

Neo’s internal pathways reached perfect energetic equilibrium, the dual forces of fire and water coexisting without a trace of conflict.

Blue text windows flickered rapidly across Kale’s retina, logging the integration metrics in real time.

The system recorded the rapid consolidation of the internal core and the increase in overall water affinity.

[The Nemesis Hydra has absorbed refined Ancient rank Water Essence through the Azure Leviathan filter.]

[Water Affinity increased by 6%. Current Water Affinity: 91%.]

[Internal core stability achieved! Thermal friction reduced to zero.]

[The Nemesis Hydra has unlocked the skill: Aqua Matrix.]

Kale read the status notifications with a sharp, satisfied smile.

The buffer method using the Leviathan catalyst had eliminated the risk of internal thermal collapse during prolonged combat.

Lazek Oberon walked over to the workbench, taking a slow puff from his pipe as he inspected the hydra’s shifting energy signature.

The Fleshcraft Grandmaster nodded in deep professional approval.

’The structural balance between fire and water is absolute, disciple.’

Lazek noted, his dark eyes shining with quiet satisfaction.

’You have accomplished in hours what most Master Artificers spend years trying to balance.’

’The Aqua Matrix acts as a permanent cooling filter, Master.’

Kale explained, unrolling his research parchment onto the central table.

’Neo can now sustain its Flame Form indefinitely without suffering internal cell degradation.’

’That stability will prove crucial for the upcoming trials.’

Lazek remarked, walking toward the wide glass window overlooking the southern sector.

’House Morrow’s destruction will trigger a massive political shift in the capital tonight.’

Far below the Fleshcraft Tower, muffled explosions and ringing steel echoed through the dusk.

Prince Renard’s gold-armoured guards had breached House Morrow’s eastern laboratory, initiating a total purge of Dorn Morrow’s private faction.

Kale walked over to the window beside his master, his energy vision shimmering in his green eyes.

Through the heavy stone walls and evening mist, he could clearly perceive the sudden flare of battle mana in the eastern district.

The raid’s chaotic flames lit the distant skyline, marking the end of House Morrow’s long-standing dominance in the capital.

The noble house had gambled everything on their covert sabotage and lost completely under the prince’s swift counterstrike.

House Morrow’s desperate gambit had failed, their political influence in the capital thoroughly crushed under the weight of their own treason.

The green-haired young master stood quietly in the high tower, his mind already calculating the next steps of his rise.

Neo hopped onto Kale’s shoulder, its three heads arching high as its dark scales settled into a deep matte black.

The three elemental streams of earth, fire, and water were now harmonised within its marrow, building an unshakeable foundation for its ultimate evolution.

Kale picked up his feather pen, dipped the tip into dark ink, and began logging the finalised metrics onto his research parchment.

His hands moved with absolute stability, guided by his Hexarion physiology and unified Trinity Crafting skill.

He mapped out the final phase of the Elemental Resonance Project, focusing on the blueprints for the remaining wind and light elemental streams.

The remaining two elemental nodes required delicate handling, but with the Aqua Matrix active, the risk of energetic overload was virtually zero.

Every equation recorded on the paper brought them one step closer to dismantling every restriction imposed upon their existence.

With the core balance achieved, the Genetic Engineer was ready for the final catalysts and the eventual Ravager rank breakthrough.

Kale adjusted his grey headband over his hidden gold mesh seal, his posture remaining completely composed and resolute.
