The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 1796: Chapter 1796: Go Apologize to Nathalie Quinlan

Once she was sure she was leaving that night.

She thought for a moment and then called Riandy Heburn.

”I’m flying to Inderia tonight, do you have time now? If you do, let’s meet at the restaurant outside the hotel where I’m staying. I’ll be waiting for you on the first floor.”

When she spoke with Frederick Upton, she didn’t dare to breathe heavily, but with others, she was much more calm and composed.

Zevaney Kingsley hung up the phone after speaking with Riandy Heburn.

She sat on the sofa and made a few more phone calls. Then she checked the time once more, grabbed her bag, and hurried out.

...

On the first floor, in the hotel’s Western restaurant.

Riandy Heburn had already arrived.

He was anxiously waiting for Zevaney Kingsley to arrive.

Soon, he saw Zevaney Kingsley’s figure at the door and quickly stood up, waving his hand: ”Ms. Kingsley, over here.”

At this moment, there weren’t many people in the restaurant.

Zevaney Kingsley walked over, pulled out the chair opposite him, placed her bag aside, sat down, clearly not happy.

Riandy Heburn felt even less sure inside.

After Zevaney Kingsley sat down, he cautiously asked, ”Ms. Kingsley, why are you suddenly going back to Inderia, and so urgently?”

”Something happened.” Zevaney Kingsley couldn’t tell him too much, nor could she inform him that her territories in the Illegal Zone and Inderia were both under attack.

The losses this time were incalculable.

She had a purpose for asking Riandy Heburn to meet, skipping the pleasantries, raising her eyes and directly telling the middle-aged man opposite, ”I contacted Jeremiah Bonette a few days ago. His attitude is ambiguous and doesn’t seem willing to let go. You should go find Nathalie Quinlan, apologize to her, and try to reduce the matter from a big issue to a small one, and not let it continue escalating.”

Riandy Heburn suspected he heard wrong: ”Ms. Kingsley, you’re saying I should find Nathalie Quinlan... apologize?”

Riandy Heburn was somewhat at a loss.

Initially, he relied on having Zevaney Kingsley’s backing and didn’t take the Zachmann Family seriously at all.

Even after being slapped in the face by Nathalie Quinlan, he was still not particularly panicked.

After all, with Zevaney Kingsley there, the Heburn Family and he had this confidence.

He originally thought that with Zevaney Kingsley stepping in, Jeremiah Bonette would sell face to her and to the Independent Continent Kingsleys Family behind her.

But now, hearing Zevaney Kingsley’s meaning—Jeremiah Bonette was not giving them this face!

Riandy Heburn was slightly surprised: ”Mr. Bonette on that side...”

Zevaney Kingsley didn’t want to continue dragging it out with him. Her face looked terrible, interrupting his words, ”This time I was too impulsive. I acted hastily without thorough investigation. Things have escalated to this point, and you definitely need to find a way to get back that batch of goods. The only way to retrieve them now is to talk to Nathalie Quinlan and make her relent, only then Jeremiah Bonette may let go.”

”So there’s only one way.” Zevaney Kingsley’s short hair was sharp and her eyes fixed on Riandy Heburn, full of pressure: ”Go apologize to Nathalie Quinlan and talk about retrieving the things first.”

”...” Riandy Heburn was instantly grieved.

Zevaney Kingsley said it so easily, just casually telling him to apologize, but with things getting this complicated, he didn’t think the other side was the type to forgive just because he apologized.

Moreover, he had contacted Nathalie Quinlan before.

He still vividly remembered what the girl had said—”Let the Heburn Family go? Sure, unless time flows backward.”

He suddenly felt some regret, regretting his previous impulsiveness, thinking that relying on the big mountain that was Zevaney Kingsley, he could oppress and humiliate the Zachmann Family.

Who knew the support behind him was not trustworthy at all.
