Extraordinary in Reality Through Magic Games

206: Chapter 204 Xu came to pick up people.Although the magic performance was held offline, the Queen felt that helicopter tracking and live broadcasting were essential to more effectively deter a certain country.

The members of the Special Investigation Bureau who couldn’t go to the scene set up a large LCD screen in the meeting room of the Municipal Building and sat around it in chairs.

At this moment, the wooden platform that looked like a ”floating ship” slowly landed in the open space in the center of the square.

The off-stage host first introduced the five people on stage, and then they immediately took their stances and began an intense magic duel.

”Petrifi—” A young man named Klaisi raised his pointer wand at Leon and chanted an incantation.

”Expelliarmus!” Toby, who looked slightly older, quickly cast a spell to knock his wand away.

Wino naturally wouldn’t just watch: ”Fireball Spell!”

Perhaps because his skills were still shallow, the fireball he condensed was only the size of a fist.

But judging by Toby’s slightly curled hair as seen through the camera’s zoom, its power was not to be underestimated.

Klaisi, who was picking up his wand, seemed to feel that having his wand knocked away in front of a national audience was very humiliating. He shouted angrily, ”Diffindo!”

This was a powerful offensive spell that could tear a target apart.

In fact, there was no such magic; to replicate the ”Diffindo” from the novel, Zhang Mu had equipped a Core in the wand that released Mental Energy to achieve a similar effect.

Klaisi was not proficient with Diffindo, and this spell was not part of their daily training.

Clearly, he was playing for keeps.

The people in front of the LCD screen naturally didn’t know that Klaisi had lost his mind.

However, Ye Ming noticed something unusual as he watched the little girl who was looking around blankly.

”Something’s not right, Director.”

”What’s wrong?”

”Look at the expression of that little girl named Misha.”

Hearing Ye Ming say this, the Director and the others looked over together. Sure enough, Misha looked a bit at a loss, as if she didn’t know what she should be doing.

”Are they... lacking internal unity?”

”Probably.”

The Director smacked his lips twice: ”I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing...

I’ve read the novel too. It’ll be a real mess if some Voldemort character eventually comes out to wreak havoc on the world.”

”No need to worry about that,” Ye Ming smiled, his gaze returning to the LCD screen. ”Besides, these five are new students, right?

The magic they’re using looks quite average.”

”That’s normal,” said Yue Ruo, who had just rushed back from an assignment. ”When magic is practiced to a high level, it looks like that big crater on the outskirts of London.

Hiss... a rock that big falling on our heads would be impossible to withstand.

Do you think Immortal Xu knows that move?”

”Ask him next time.”

The group paused their small talk and continued watching the magic performance.

Soon, they discovered that there seemed to be an invisible barrier at the edge of the stage. The crowd surrounding them, holding up original novels and clamoring for signatures, couldn’t rush onto the stage no matter what.

”Stupefy.”

The two-on-two duel between the four gradually reached a fever pitch.

The strength of both sides wasn’t very different, so they inevitably fell into a stalemate.

Finally, Misha suddenly chanted an incantation. Caught off guard, Wino and Klaisi were hit by the magic, closed their eyes, and fell to the ground.

The battle ended, and the stage ascended to head for the next location.

”What do you all think?” As the first act closed, the Director asked.

”Can’t tell much,” Ye Ming pondered for a moment before sharing his thoughts. ”These five are the first batch of new students Hogwarts recruited on Earth.

We can’t be sure if the school is holding anything back when teaching magic.

Even if they’re teaching everything without reservation, they’ve only been at the school for less than half a month. What they’ve learned is limited.”

Nodding in agreement, the Director suddenly thought of a certain unlucky guy: ”How’s Zhao Qi doing?”

”Uh...” Lin Miao scratched her head. ”I agreed with Zhao Qi to have one phone call every day before he left. There were calls for the first two days, but for some reason, I waited all day yesterday and didn’t get one.”

”He couldn’t have run into trouble, could he?” Yue Ruo stood up nervously.

Although the Director had indeed intended to mess with Zhao Qi a bit by kicking him off to Ying Country, he never intended for anything bad to actually happen to him.

”Send someone over to look for him immediately.”

After saying that, the Director rubbed his chin again: ”Wait, that’s not right.

The Special Investigation Bureau is a secret department, sure, but it’s not an Intelligence Organization. Even if his identity is discovered abroad, they wouldn’t go as far as to arrest him, would they?”

Normally, that would be true.

What he didn’t know was that through various coincidences and with the help of the simple and enthusiastic Leon, Zhao Qi had completed an almost impossible task.

Without an invitation letter, he had walked through the main gate of the Queen’s Castle in broad daylight.

That being said, they still had to find him.

Lin Miao went to make the arrangements while the Director and the others continued watching the live broadcast.

The next six performances were much the same. Aside from minor differences in the battle process, the types of magic were as Ye Ming said—they were all new students who had only been enrolled for half a month; it was already good enough that they could use magic at all.

Realizing there were no new tricks, the group lost some interest.

What made them perk up again was the old man who took the stage at the end of the performance.

Above the wooden platform that had landed in the open space for the seventh time, an old car appeared out of thin air.

Through the focused lens, they saw two people.

One was the Queen—the Queen who had only appeared twice since regaining her youth: once at a press conference and once to welcome the new students back to Earth.

The Director was also no stranger to the other person, as he had been following news from Ying Country for a long time and the Royal Family hadn’t intentionally hidden him.

The Headmaster of Hogwarts—Dumbledore.

What was he going to do?

Just as the doubt rose in their hearts, the old man hovered the car at the edge of the wooden platform and stepped onto the stage with the Queen.

Without speaking, the old man pulled a pointer wand from the void in front of him: ”Fireball Spell!”

A familiar spell; after all, Wino had just cast one not long ago.

But in comparison, only Wino’s could truly be called a fireball.

What the old man cast would be more appropriately called a ”Sun.”

Amidst a light that was almost blinding, a massive fireball condensed in front of the old man and then soared into the sky.

As the fireball climbed higher, everyone felt as if there were two suns in the sky.

*Boom—*

Once it reached a safe distance, the fireball was detonated. A mushroom cloud rose up, and the Director, watching through the LCD screen, felt as if he could sense the terrifying heat and unconsciously leaned back.

Not only were they quiet, but the scene was also silent for a long time.

The crowd, coming to their senses after a long while, jumped and shouted in unison, ”Encore!”

The old man raised his right hand, which held the wand, seemingly intending to grant their wish.

But just as he opened his mouth, the space in front of him suddenly fluctuated, and then a figure the Director had seen several times materialized amidst the audience’s gasps.

The audience whispered among themselves, wondering if this person was a surprise act?

But judging by his clothing, it wasn’t the Hogwarts style.

The Queen, standing to the side with a smile, also curiously sized up the white-robed man, hesitating whether she should step forward to greet him.

Before she could move, Dumbledore suddenly stepped sideways to block the Queen and the five students: ”You’ve crossed the line.”

”So what?”

After a moment of silence, the old man stared at him: ”What is the matter?”

”Xu is here to pick someone up.”
