Extraordinary in Reality Through Magic Games

74: Chapter 74 The Wonderful Uses of TransfigurationDuring the exploration of the labyrinth, Vag had noticed the magic Zhang Mu used.

Although it was cast quickly and the control was quite strong, he still had the confidence to easily defeat Zhang Mu.

The reason for this was the early-stage advantage of his profession.

A mage without a Magic Shield to protect the body, when approached by a knight with a strong physique, was almost certainly doomed to die.

Therefore, when Vag waved his longsword and rushed out, he felt in his heart that the battle would end quickly.

And that was indeed the case.

The battle ended even faster than he imagined, but the winner and loser were different from what he expected.

Vag charged like a gale, his longsword thrusting straight out, aimed directly at Zhang Mu’s chest.

With his vital point about to be hit, Zhang Mu had no intention of dodging, simply condensing two Ice Cones.

What kind of trick was he playing?

Confusion rose in his heart, but as the longsword pierced into Zhang Mu’s right chest and blood splattered, he didn’t care anymore.

”Confident words cannot change the fact that your strength is low.”

Pulling out the longsword, Vag smiled confidently, and then was pierced in both wrists by the two Ice Cones.

”Ah!” Screaming, the longsword fell from his hand, and he circulated his Knight Magic, attempting to use the magic power in his body to shatter the Ice Cones.

However, the magic power belonging to Zhang Mu carried by the Ice Cones, under the control of Mental Energy, crazily drilled into his body, blocking the circulation path of his Knight Magic.

Noticing his magic power was stagnant and immobile, Vag looked up.

Through the sword hole in the clothing fabric over his right chest, he saw the skin on his chest was completely unscathed.

His expression, which had been somewhat hideous due to pain, suddenly stiffened.

Where is the wound I just stabbed?

Before he could ponder deeply, a sandbag-sized fist slammed heavily onto his face with great force, and he immediately went black before his eyes and fainted.

”Hah, as expected of a knight, even with Knight Magic sealed, the body is still so tough.”

Zhang Mu shook his hand, which was a bit painful from the recoil, bent down to hoist Vag up, and looked left and right.

The small island was located in the center of the river, not far from the small woods on the opposite bank, and after thinking about it for a moment, he jumped straight into the river and swam to the shore.

Sneaking into the woods, he found a slightly larger clearing, threw Vag onto the ground, and started working.

He had said before that he would change Vag’s bloodline, but doing so was obviously not that easy.

Changing the basic structure of matter out of thin air without any physical means was the ability of a god.

Fortunately, Zhang Mu had a way to achieve something similar.

First, he controlled the magic power inside Vag to rush chaotically, stirring the meridians that operated Knight Magic into shreds, completely stripping away his extraordinary power.

Subsequently, he condensed several Ice Cones to wrap around his ears until they were hard, and with a light tap of his staff, they shattered into ice shavings all over the ground on the spot.

This trick was used by Avril when she destroyed the True Word Spell; Zhang Mu was just following suit.

After watching the earless Vag lying on the ground for a while, he took out a kitchen knife from the inventory.

Due to limited conditions, he wouldn’t wash it, so he dryly ”shaved” Vag bald, then used a fireball to burn the hair follicles to death, ending any possibility of hair growing back.

The preparation was almost done.

After stripping off his armor, Zhang Mu straightened his back and released the Transformation Technique.

In his heart, he recalled the ugly Orc images from the film and television works of Blue Star—green skin, hairless all over, with hideous tusks in the mouth.

According to this template, he put a layer of illusion on Vag.

”Done.”

Putting down his hand, Zhang Mu took a handheld mirror from the inventory, leaned against the tree beside him, and waited with peace of mind.

After about half an hour, the lying Vag’s eyelids trembled a few times, and he slowly opened them.

He blinked blankly, propped himself up from the ground, and sat up.

Seeing that he hadn’t discovered himself for a long time, Zhang Mu spoke: ”Yo, awake?”

Didn’t kill me? Why?

Also, why did the sword wound I inflicted disappear?

Thoughts flew in his mind, and after a while, he finally came back to his senses, jumped up violently, and subconsciously reached for his waist with both hands while operating Knight Magic.

However, the sword was not grabbed; it was still left on the small island, and as for the Knight Magic, it naturally didn’t move either.

”What did you do to me?!” Finding that his Knight Magic had disappeared from his body, he roared.

”What did I do to you?” Zhang Mu grinned and held up the mirror to him, ”I did quite a lot.”

This is... a crystal mirror?

Why is there an Orc inside?

Staring blankly at the earless, hairless, green-skinned Orc with two hideous tusks protruding from its mouth in the mirror, his mouth opened slightly, and he remained motionless.

For a long time, he touched his own head and ears, but felt nothing—it was bare.

Seeming unwilling to believe it, he compared himself to the scene in the mirror and examined the trees around him.

Finally, having determined that the two trees inside and outside the mirror only differed in left and right, and were otherwise identical, he collapsed.

”Impossible!”

”I am not an Orc, I am an Elf! I am a noble Elf!”

He snatched the small mirror from Zhang Mu’s hand like a madman, stared at it intensely, and made various expressions.

The him in the mirror immediately responded with the same expressions.

”I don’t believe it!” Vag smashed the mirror against a tree trunk, ”I am an Elf! An Elf!”

”You, you,”

He pointed at Zhang Mu, his hand trembling uncontrollably, unable to speak for a long time.

But Zhang Mu knew what he wanted to ask: ”How did I do it? Haha, I know the True Word Spell.”

This was a ”lie” full of holes.

But at this moment, Vag, whose mind had already collapsed, didn’t notice the problem at all, and he muttered to himself: ”True Word Spell? The Church’s True Word Spell?”

”Hehe, that could indeed turn me into an Orc...”

”Have I really turned into an Orc?”

He suddenly ran to the nearby shattered mirror, squatted down to pick up a triangular piece of broken mirror, moved it up and down, and shone his whole face in turn.

”Am I an Orc? An Orc?”

”How could this be... I am the Elf Vag, the Vag who will surely become the Elf King’s personal guard in the future...”

He threw away the broken mirror and slumped to the ground: ”I am a noble Elf, a noble Elf...”

Mumbling with his head down for a few sentences, he turned over, crawled and ran to Zhang Mu’s feet, and hugged his thigh:

”Turn me back into an Elf, I beg you to turn me back into an Elf, or kill me, killing me is also fine, Vag sincerely requests you.”

Zhang Mu twisted his mouth, thinking that you guys were just arrogant and conceited, but not afraid of death, but it turns out you are afraid.

Otherwise, why not just commit suicide?

Ignoring him, Zhang Mu still had many things to do.

He forcefully pried his hands off his thigh and walked into the distance: ”Frederica always says that life is precious, and I think that makes sense.”

”Live well and spend the rest of your life as an Orc.”

”Don’t go, I beg you to kill me, don’t go!”

Without Knight Magic, he was just a physically strong young man, and there was no way he could catch up with Zhang Mu; his back quickly shrank and disappeared.

Watching the person walk away, Vag sat blankly on the grass outside the woods for a while, then got up in a daze:

”Perhaps, perhaps he was deceiving me; that mirror might be a magic item. Yes, that’s right, humans are just full of lies.”

Moving to the riverbank with very, very slow steps, after hesitating for a long time, he finally leaned his upper body out.

The surface of the river reflected an Orc.

The last hope was shattered, and Vag, who had been proud of his bloodline from beginning to end, went mad.

He grinned and laughed silently, and after a while, there was sound: ”Hehe... Ha, Hahaha...”

”I am an Elf, I am an Elf, not some Orc!”

Acting like a madman, he laughed and ran into the distance, shouting: ”I am an Elf.”

Later, townspeople in a remote town occasionally met an Orc who looked like he didn’t have a good brain.

In a town with a peaceful life, this was considered a rare thing and was passed down as a strange story.

There were a grandfather and grandson snuggled up by the stove under a thin blanket, and the grandfather told the story in a low tone:

”On the Saul Continent, there is an Orc who claims to be an Elf wandering around, seemingly looking for something.”

”Hah, that Orc’s appearance, even if placed in the entire Orc world, is quite ugly.”
