Chapter 597: Chapter 303: Kexi’s Lethality (Part 2)

”Why have you transformed into this form?”

Kexi spoke, without any tone, or perhaps she couldn’t understand what emotions were yet:

”Kexi was created by you, and when I was asleep, I entered the network you created and saw a lot of knowledge there. Kexi is growing.”

”Master created Kexi. According to the logic of the Human Race, Kexi is your child. In some narratives, fathers always dote more on their daughters, so I became your daughter.”

”Based on your affection for Miss Luoning and the appearance of Mother Diane, I pieced together my appearance.”

Baiyi: ....

He didn’t have children, but now he has five children, right?

Not dwelling on these matters, he gestured to the dissipating fog and asked, ”Are they dying?”

”Yes, Master. There is a powerful curse in this world’s air. Your clothes can block this curse, and I can block it too, but the divided entities are too weak to resist the curse’s invasion. It’s estimated that within twenty-four hours, all divided entities not covered by my aura will perish.”

As she spoke, she raised her hand:

”All divided entities except the thirty trillion that make up my body will die, and even those within my aura other than myself must rely on devouring to survive long-term. If they don’t consume energy for an extended period, their lifespan is only seven days.”

Baiyi glanced at the sky. On a microscopic level, water molecules are about the same size as Kexi, and viruses would seem like giants to them.

These tiny entities can indeed resist some curses, even dispel parts of them, but they are too weak individually against the Black Death Curse.

Baiyi nodded without much concern and walked into the only remaining building in the whole city.

There were one or two beating hearts inside, and Kexi sensed them too. She reached out, ready to erase the hidden heartbeats.

But Baiyi waved his hand: ”If they don’t hinder us, there’s no need to bother.”

”Yes, Master.”

Baiyi calmly said, ”Call me Boss.”

”Yes, Boss.”

Baiyi skillfully moved towards the underground passage and soon stood before a Scarlet door.

He had seen this door before at the Plague Doctor Reception Institution in Fenghuo City.

It seemed to be a powerful seal-type dangerous object.

But Baiyi wasn’t very interested in it. The aura of the Dark Side leaked out without concealment, causing the door to tremble.

Baiyi stepped forward confidently, and as he approached, without any offerings or identity verification, the door opened on its own.

Behind the door were small rooms detaining conflicting or restricted dangerous objects, much like the detention area in Fenghuo City.

They stayed quietly in the rooms, but once Baiyi entered the detention area, the whole place began to tremble.

Thud... thud...

A strong heartbeat sounded. Baiyi glanced at the corner, where a Knight of Light was crouching in the corner, trembling.

However, Baiyi paid him no mind and waved his hand.

Kexi immediately stepped forward. The giant door, carved with sealing runes, dissolved into nothingness at her touch, as if disappearing into thin air, looking quite mystical to the naked eye.

Once the door vanished, Kexi grew from 1.3 meters to 1.4 meters, due to the continuous increase in the number of nanomechanical divisions inside her.

Baiyi was focusing on weaponizing the improvements in Plague Gold, and for weapons of this level, quantity was key. Thus, Kexi had maxed out the talent in division.

As Baiyi approached, the odd-shaped items inside began to tremble.

A dagger-like object with tendrils coiled into a ball, trying to reduce its presence.

There was also something akin to a bone structure, clutching its head in the corner.

Even dangerous objects could only remain still like a quail when the Dark Side in Baiyi triggered certain rules.

When Baiyi first entered, the Dark Side only had Gold attributes and a basic specialty.

But now...

His Dark Side had become a Divine Abomination, an entity more dangerous than dangerous objects. In the eyes of these dangerous objects, the Evil Thought version of the Divine Abomination made them feel like sheep being watched by a wolf, merely praying that the wicked wolf wouldn’t notice them.

Baiyi grabbed a sheepskin-like dangerous object.

He didn’t speak to devour it but let his arm slowly melt, gradually swallowing the dangerous object.

”Hiss~”

Seemingly sensing its impending doom, the dangerous object began to struggle frantically.

Its power started to corrode Baiyi’s flesh, windering his arm, but more flesh surged towards the sheepskin.

Gradually, both sides were locked in a heated confrontation.

Baiyi frowned, as these dangerous objects, although afraid of the Dark Side, still had some resistance.

He glanced at the Specialty Awakening Authority he had obtained by lottery.

He decisively awakened the Dark Side’s specialty [Immune Body]. ℯℯ𝑙.

[Immune Body: Immune to 10% of negative states, immune to 30% of control effects.]

Buzz~

The sheepskin power, which seemed to counteract his Recovery Power, was thoroughly suppressed by natural resistance at this moment. Baiyi drowned the C-level dangerous object in flesh without much effort.

[You devoured a dangerous object, Bloody Sheepskin, significantly enhancing your Dark Side, Divine Power, agility, Endurance +7, Divine Intelligence +3.]

Boom!

Baiyi’s aura became even more eerie. Here, dangerous objects weren’t graded by Power Level, but by the harm they posed to humans.

In other words, even if the eerie power seemed lackluster, if it could instantly kill numerous ordinary people, it could be rated as S-level.

As for this one, with a notably powerful curse force, yet requiring others to see and believe in the texts on the sheepskin to kill, it was only rated at C-level.

Because any Knight of Light, as long as they believed dangerous objects held nothing good, wouldn’t find them dangerous.

Baiyi looked at the other dangerous objects, reaching out to another.

The dagger was in his hand.

Buzz~

[You devoured a dangerous object, Tentacle Blade, your Dark Side....]

[You devoured a dangerous object...]

Boom~

Baiyi’s aura grew increasingly terrifying, a sense of distortion began to make the Nightmare World tremble, creating a suffocating feeling.

It seemed as if this world was about to be unable to accommodate his presence.

”Boss... can I eat one too?”

Kexi looked at Baiyi with eyes beginning to show some emotions, resembling... a kind of longing, and also a partial imitation.

She wanted to learn from Baiyi.

”Suit yourself.”

Baiyi responded casually, since Kexi wouldn’t die. Entwined with the Undying Curse, at worst, Baiyi would create a new [Plague Gold Nanomechanical Body].

Her Soul could transfer into a new body with those specialties, without any loss.

Kexi’s eyes brightened. She reached out to a dangerous object, and upon touching it, her arm began to shed skin.

If magnified ten thousand times, one could see tiny ant-like machines continually falling off.

She looked a bit disappointed: ”It seems I can’t bite through... my Curse Resistance is too low.”

”You can try devouring the curse. Your mechanics should be capable of anything. Curses can be seen as viruses, and Plague Gold doesn’t fear the highly poisonous.”

Baiyi spoke calmly as the distortion around him left dangerous objects in a state resembling a crash, motionless and allowing manipulation.

Only when faced with a life threat would there be some resistance.

Kexi hesitated: ”But...”

”Regarding curses, I’ve instructed Zero to transmit the energy properties to you. Check it yourself.”

[You devoured...]

Buzz~

As Baiyi’s aura grew stronger, Kexi fell into a daze, processing numerous materials.

When she reached out to the dangerous object again, there wasn’t a one-sided suppression but a sort of confrontation, and... Kexi held an absolute upper hand.

A slight smile appeared on Baiyi’s lips. Kexi... can still grow!

Knowledge and skill growth could perhaps bestow her numerous Skills, but what Baiyi anticipated most was the growth in her Specialty.

Now, Kexi had reached the Catastrophe Level but still wasn’t enough to face a True God, and even a Demigod would be challenging.

186-A was evolving along with her.

And they were both utterly loyal to him!
