Seizing the BOSS Template at the Start

The two seemed to have coincidentally forgotten about the previous events, though this could also be due to mutual apprehension.

Baiyi spoke gently, ”No need, I’m just here to find Sed. Once I find Sed, I’ll leave.”

Meanwhile, the thought of the stitched man still lingered in his eyes, as if contemplating knowledge equivalent to the full version of the Evil Thought.

”That old lady, she’s mysterious all day long. You’re out of luck this time~” Ai Nuan said with a smile, ”She went out scavenging over twenty days ago and won’t be back for another week. Maybe you can wait at my sister’s place?”

There were still twenty days until the time Charles mentioned, so Baiyi wasn’t in a great hurry.

However, he declined Ai Nuan’s invitation, ”No, I’ll stroll around the city by myself.”

Saying this, Baiyi turned around and left, deciding to use this time to seek out those Evil Alchemists, hoping to exchange for some useful items.

”Wait.”

That metallic scraping sound echoed, Baiyi halted and turned towards the Golden Upper Tier.

The fervor in the middle-aged man’s eyes dissipated: ”My name is Maku. If I’m not mistaken, you’re also an Alchemical Transformer, right? If you’re interested, you can come to my Potion Shop. We can have a… scholarly exchange, is that how you say it?”

Baiyi gave him a once-over and this time did not refuse, ”You can call me Baiyi. I’d be happy to accept your invitation.”

Ai Nuan looked a bit displeased, but she also seemed somewhat apprehensive of this Alchemical Transformer, smiling at Baiyi, ”Little brother Baiyi, I’ll come to find you again~”

Having said that, she turned into a red mist and instantly disappeared.

Maku glanced in the direction Ai Nuan had disappeared, rasping, ”Come with me, don’t mind her. The Evil Thought stirred some bad memories for her, and it possesses an inherent attraction for her; she wants to devour you just as you want to devour her. However, given your current state of transformation, you’re at a disadvantage.”

Baiyi followed this limping middle-aged man; his leg had also been modified, leaving a sticky footprint with every step he took. It appeared he had one normal human leg, while the other was likely a tentacle.

The chill that spread from his cane suggested it was more than just a simple walking stick; rather, it was a weapon of sorts.

”I know; I never intended to fight her, just probing.” Baiyi asked calmly, ”But I heard there are five Golden Upper Tiers in this city. What about the other three?”

”The Black Dragon is asleep, the Mage is busy with research, and the Mechanic... as the Evil Thought, you’re of no interest to him.” Maku responded calmly, effortlessly revealing the state of Sin City.

This wasn’t really a secret, and none of them were weak, so naturally, there was no fear of Baiyi making trouble. Moreover, Maku didn’t intend to keep it hidden from the other four.

He couldn’t wait for more of them to die.

The two walked a while and arrived at a massive building with the sign: [Madhouse Clinic]

The flickering neon lights made it look anything but a proper clinic.

As soon as they entered, shrill screams hit them, the hysterical sounds clearly conveying the patients’ agony.

”The surgery is being performed on a human I picked up, quite talented.”

Maku said as he led Baiyi to the backyard, stopping in a transformation room.

This transformation room didn’t boast much technology; there were stains on the metal surgery table, and a Minotaur with its innards exposed lay there, eyes wide open in terror.

Baiyi paused, seemingly understanding why the blood on this figure was fresh.

So it was, with the surgery paused, the doctor first went to break up a fight, huh?

”Just wait a moment; I’ll make some modifications for this customer.”

Maku said calmly, ”You can watch from the side and offer any suggestions you have.”

As he spoke, he picked up a scalpel and directly severed the Minotaur’s spine.

”Moo~ aaahhh...”

The hysterical roars erupted, the Minotaur struggling, but with its spine severed, it could only shake its head, each shake bringing new pain.

Baiyi could clearly see the rapid compression and expansion of the Minotaur’s lungs.

Every transformer is also the most proficient doctor for the body, and with Extraordinary Power, as long as the brain isn’t damaged, they generally wouldn’t die on their operating tables.

”Won’t you anesthetize him?” Baiyi asked a bit puzzled. He wouldn’t let his patients roar so loudly.

”No need, I enjoy their wails.”

Maku responded calmly, and with another slice, half a meter of spine was abruptly pulled out.

”Aaaahhhhh...”

The ceaseless hysterical screams resounded, the Minotaur’s heartbeat frequency escalating as if it would faint at any moment.

Baiyi fell silent; indeed, Evil Alchemists were a bunch of perverts. Fortunately, he was a kind Alchemist.

”What modifications do you plan this time?” Baiyi watched as Maku sliced away half of the Minotaur and then connected the spine to the tailbone, unable to help but ask.

”She’s taken a liking to a human lad in the West City and wants to become human.”

Maku said with a smile amid the Minotaur’s hysterical screams, ”Species transformation is quite interesting, so I decided to help her.”

Baiyi remained silent for a while, pondering whether such a method constituted a species transformation.

After a long pause, he said quietly, ”Brother Maku, why not use a Flesh and Blood Mudification Potion with a Flesh Reassembling Potion, added with a Bone Softening Potion and a restructuring surgery? Wouldn’t that be much simpler?”
