Ms. Diviner: The Prodigal Daughter's Return

Chapter 998: Chapter 998: What Extraordinary Talent, What a Genius!

Upon closer inspection, they realized that Han Yan was using precisely the medical skill of Doctor Sun; presumably, she had picked it up while assisting him earlier.

They guessed correctly; indeed, Han Yan had just learned this technique from Doctor Sun. Being multi-talented was one of the reasons that Sister Mu overcame numerous dangers and repeatedly advanced to the Sword Saint Realm in her past life.

In fact, it wasn’t the first time she had secretly learned skills. The Star Illusion Thousand Machine Technique and the Heavenly Star Seal Breaking Technique were acquired from Qu Shanling, so witnessing Doctor Sun’s exquisite meridian blocking technique, she naturally learned it.

”Who would’ve thought, Young Master Mu has such talent, just one observation was enough for him to grasp the essence of my family’s inheritance, the Meridian Cutting Hand,” Doctor Sun remarked with surprise, deeply familiar with his family’s heirloom technique.

If it were anyone else secretly learning the Sun family’s inherited medical skills, he would have been furious long ago. However, faced with matters of life and death, he felt no anger, only delight. After all, as a doctor, saving the world and helping others is both his family tradition and personal creed. If he could only watch helplessly as Yu Qingwan, Zirong, and Ye Lanfeng were ruined by this Bone Marrow Transplantation Technique, while being powerless himself, he feared he’d never find peace.

Huayue and others sighed in relief. Fortunately, the Young Master possessed the ability to grasp things at first glance, otherwise, they were clueless on how to proceed.

Yet, their relief was short-lived; their expressions again turned grave.

Although Han Yan had grasped much of Doctor Sun’s technique, given the short time, she hadn’t fully mastered it. Her execution still lagged behind Doctor Sun, giving her only brief respite. To sever Yu Qingwan’s meridians before the poison fully erupted seemed impossible.

”Alas, if only I had known of Young Master Mu’s talent earlier, I would have passed on the technique ahead of time. As it progresses, the meridians become increasingly complex, demanding higher expertise. This Meridian Cutting Hand has eighty-one variations, of which I’ve used only seventeen or eighteen—there are nearly eighty variations he hasn’t learned, how will he manage then?” Doctor Sun lamented, pounding his chest.

Saying this, he struggled to stand but halfway up, his face showed pain, and he collapsed again.

”Alas, I should have sought Doctor Sun’s guidance on the Meridian Cutting Hand earlier, but even if mentioned then, he might not have taught it,” Han Yan thought, recognizing the complexities of Qing Wan’s remaining meridians, realizing her hastily learned skills weren’t enough, and felt secretly annoyed.

Distracted for a moment, Han Yan’s technique slowed, causing Yu Qingwan to moan in pain, her face showing deeper black traces, and Zirong suddenly coughed up blood.

Han Yan, startled, knew this was no time for distraction. It was already too late to seek Doctor Sun’s guidance. Knowing she had limited understanding of the Meridian Cutting Hand, she could only give her all, persevering.

Setting aside distractions, Han Yan cleared her mind and focused once more, wielding the Divine Martial Refining Soul Technique, channeling her entire Divine Sense into Yu Qingwan’s body, swiftly moving her palm over Qingwan.

In that moment, the world and all cosmos receded, Han Yan’s mind wholly entered a selfless state, merging entirely into the Meridian Cutting Hand.

Free from distractions, her technique gradually sped up, losing its initial crudity.

To Han Yan’s amazement, as she refined the technique, her mind, once utterly clear, became increasingly lucid and pure.

Suddenly, a flash of insight sparked in her mind. Without thinking, she naturally continued her motions. Only after acting did she realize the technique, though based on the stolen Meridian Cutting Hand, had subtly evolved, becoming more intricate, with a fine touch akin to a divine stroke.

Clearly, it was one of the variations Doctor Sun had yet to perform, and Han Yan had no chance to learn.

Han Yan never dreamed her mind would spontaneously comprehend a variant of the Meridian Cutting Hand when entering a selfless state.

Thrilled, Han Yan, invigorated, focused her mind, concentrating on executing the technique.

Soon, another flash of insight hit her mind. Han Yan, moving instinctively, subtly altered the technique, unveiling yet another exquisite method...

Han Yan’s technique grew increasingly fast and proficient, occasionally executing astonishingly ingenious strokes, like gifts from the heavens.

Witnessing her fluid, majestic yet endlessly wondrous execution of the Meridian Cutting Hand, Doctor Sun was already dumbfounded.

”Breeze Brushing Plum Hand, I haven’t performed this before, where did he learn it? And that Moon Embracing Immortal Robe, I took a whole year to master! Even if performed earlier, he couldn’t have learned it this quickly. Watching his technique, it’s second to none. The Nine Heavenly Stars technique... impossible! I haven’t completely grasped it myself, how has he managed it, impossible, absolutely impossible!” Watching Han Yan’s self-taught transformations, Doctor Sun exclaimed repeatedly, eyes wide in shock, crying it couldn’t be. But the undeniable truth unfolded before him!

Beside him, Huayue and Jiang Yuzhe were equally perplexed. They recognized the technique’s brilliance, knowing Han Yan, unfamiliar with medical skills, couldn’t possibly learn it so swiftly, even with prior knowledge.

Nearby, Doctor Sun was already tearful with emotion, since even he hadn’t completely deciphered the eighty-one changes of the Meridian Cutting Hand, inheriting it incomplete.

Never did he imagine Han Yan, after just a few glances at his method, would not only master them all but also comprehend all variations. What talent, what genius! Who branded Han Yan innately useless? Stand up, I promise not to beat you!
