Ms. Diviner: The Prodigal Daughter's Return

Chapter 547: 547 wants to threaten Han Yan?

As the barrier opened, everyone was busy searching for survivors, yet he wandered about looking for Fourth Miss Zhao all day long, but to no avail. Later, he learned that she had initially been following Qu Fengting, but Fourth Miss Zhao disappeared without a trace just before Qu Fengting and his group headed to the temple.

The person who relayed this message to Zhao Sinin saw the anxious look on his face. Being a fellow member of the Zhao Family, he kindly comforted him, suggesting that Fourth Miss Zhao might have known her own limitations and opted not to take risks with Qu Fengting, choosing instead to hide beforehand.

After all, everyone was trapped in Exotic Beast Valley together; even if they couldn’t collaborate, they absolutely shouldn’t resort to killing each other. Thus, Fourth Miss Zhao’s actions were extremely secretive, leaving none aware that she had gone looking for Mu Hanyan to seek misfortune.

Unfortunately, such comfort was futile for Zhao Sinin. Others might not know Fourth Miss Zhao’s intentions, but how could he not?

He was certain that Fourth Miss Zhao had seized the chaos to strike at Mu Hanyan, and now, Mu Hanyan was still alive, and more importantly, Yan Yuchu, whom he had hired, was right beside her, appearing quite close. In that case, how would Fourth Miss Zhao fare... Zhao Sinin dared not continue the thought.

He and Yan Yuchu had only met a few times and weren’t close. Knowing that Yan was not only powerful but also eccentric, he didn’t dare confront him, leaving him no choice but to ask Mu Hanyan instead.

”Oh, you’re talking about Fourth Miss Zhao? I didn’t see her.” Naturally, Mu Hanyan wouldn’t admit to having killed Fourth Miss Zhao.

It was minor for Family members to have conflicts and fights, but murder was a taboo. Although the Holy Court Continent respected the strong and the customary laws often didn’t apply to swordsmen, there were still rules among swordsmen and families. Without such rules, the Holy Court Continent would have been in complete chaos.

”Impossible, her coming to Exotic Beast Valley was clearly to...” Zhao Sinin was about to say it was clearly to kill you, but he abruptly stopped midway. If he disclosed Fourth Miss Zhao’s true intent, even if Mu Hanyan really did kill her, it would mean that Fourth Miss Zhao was the first to break the rules, meriting her death, and no one could advocate for her.

”For what?” Mu Hanyan sneered inwardly. She had learned from Yan Yuchu that the person who had hired him was Zhao Sinin and thus had no kind disposition towards him.

”Mu Hanyan, what exactly did you do to Ling Xian? Just let her go, and I assure you, everything from the past will be wiped clean, and I won’t bother you in the future,” Zhao Sinin said, taking a deep breath and shifting the topic with a somewhat threatening tone.

He still harbored a glimmer of hope, wishing that Mu Hanyan would adhere to the family rules and had not fatally harmed Fourth Miss Zhao, just confined her somewhere.

”Sorry, you might want to ask someone else.” Mu Hanyan turned away, no longer wanting to waste words with him. Given the current situation, even if she wanted to spare Fourth Miss Zhao, it was too late.

Of course, if she were to make the decision again, she would still stab without hesitation. Women with such venomous hearts should not be allowed to live.

”Mu Hanyan, my master’s uncle is Master Pang Dezong. He is not only a Holy Sword Master but also the Imperial Alchemist of the Royal Family of Anyun Country, and he holds the Dean’s mandate from Zhengying Academy, acting as Interim Dean. You’d better hand Ling Xian over honestly, or else, once my master’s uncle intervenes, there will be no good outcome for you,” Zhao Sinin, seeing that Mu Hanyan was unyielding, truly panicked and brought up the revered name of Pang Dezong.
