The Yellow-Haired Villain in Soaring Phoenix's Novels Also Desires Happiness

It was night.

Right now, Liya was indeed very busy.

Her clothes were scattered in a mess. Not to mention her storage magic device or the sound-transmission stone placed inside it—even her thinnest, most intimate garments were tossed here and there.

Thus the alluring spring scenery was left completely uncovered, filling the room to the brim.

The magic stone brought steady, gentle light, yet on the wall it cast the shadow of two busy, swaying figures.

Although the time was short, both the Yellow-Haired Pig and the Cabbage wanted to seize every second before dawn arrived.

So their movements were a little wild.

Outside the door, waiting, High Sister Lin’s temple vein throbbed. She forcibly suppressed the thought of dragging those two shameless beasts out and chopping them into pieces to feed the dogs, and instead silently raised a sound-blocking spell—to prevent even the slightest sound from leaking out, which could cause massive upheaval among the countless believers, should any nun or Knight in the cathedral happen to hear.

Yet along with anger, this usually cold-tempered, expressionless High Sister found a faint blush rising to her own cheeks.

Those two were playing far too wildly. For her—a true virgin of several decades—it was admittedly a little too stimulating.

After a long while, the wind and rain subsided.

Muen held in his arms the adorable and charming Saintess and felt the lingering warmth as they slowly descended from the peak.

His salty pig’s hand kept teasing; the soft, slick sensation from his fingertips was like sparks on dry hay, ready to reignite at any moment.

Unfortunately, there was no time to go another round.

“What’s wrong? You seem a bit distracted.”

Muen scooped Liya up by the waist and carried her into the bathtub already filled with hot water, washing together in a lovers’ bath.

Taking advantage of the moment to kiss her several times, Muen brushed aside a few locks of hair sticking to Liya’s forehead and asked with a smile, “Is something on your mind?”

That earlier melding of body and heart had naturally let Muen notice the faint unrest in the thoughts of the person in his arms.

“N-nothing.”

“Really nothing?”

Muen’s salty pig’s hand slid along those lovely curves and found Liya’s ticklish spot, his tone roguish: “Bad kids who don’t tell the truth will be punished, you know.”

“You—you’re the bad one.”

Liya gave him a light push, then half her little face sank into the flower-filled bathwater, bubbling out little blub-blub sounds.

Her gaze followed the soft light and fell on a ceremonial gown not far away.

It was a pure white ceremonial dress, layers of gauze flowing, sacred specks of light scattered like starlight upon it.

It didn’t look particularly luxurious, nor did it need any gem inlay, because the owner of this gown was already the most beautiful and enchanting creature in the world.

“Nervous?”

Muen kissed Liya’s smooth back.

“Mm, a little.”

Liya shrank her shoulders, ticklish.

“Why?”

“Because there’ll be so many people. I heard that when the ceremony starts, there’ll be several million believers watching.”

“Several million... sounds intimidating, but in reality, that’s all.”

Muen leaned close to her ear and said with a wicked grin, “If you don’t like it, I can just kill another million for you—to cheer you up?”

“Enough.”

Liya rolled her adorable eyes. “They’re devout believers, not bad people.”

“If they dare make my Liya nervous, they’re bad people.”

“Hmph, who’s your Liya.” Liya lifted her fair chin in feigned pride.

“You are my Liya.”

Muen hugged her, rocking in the water. “If you don’t like it, I can think of another way for you.”

“What way?”

“Let me think...”

Muen pondered for a while, then a flash of inspiration struck. His expression turned wicked again. “Got it!”

“Hm? It’s not some bad idea again, is it?”

“How could that be? It’s all for your sake, Liya.”

Muen said solemnly, reaching into his storage magic device for quite a while, then pulled out a small object as if performing a magic trick.

“What’s that?”

Liya looked curiously at the thing in Muen’s palm.

It was a small oval sphere, seemingly jade-like, warm to the touch, with faint magic within.

When Liya tried to activate it, the small sphere began to tremble lightly under the flow of magic.

But the shape and function only made her more puzzled, because she truly couldn’t imagine what use Muen’s little gadget could have.

“This thing...”

Muen smiled mysteriously, leaned close to Liya’s ear, and whispered something.

A moment later, Liya’s cheeks—and even her ears—flushed bright red. She turned and bit Muen’s wrist, half-angry, half-embarrassed: “P-pervert!”

“Ah—what pervert? I was just trying to think of something to help you.”

Muen rubbed his wrist in pain, feigning innocence. “It’s a good way to ease your nerves!”

“W-what kind of way to ease nerves? You actually want me to wear that... that thing? What if someone finds out? Besides... that would just make me even more nervous!”

“How could anyone find out? My Liya can only be seen by me. And as for easing nerves—if your attention’s drawn somewhere else, you won’t be nervous from the crowd anymore, right?”

Muen chuckled mischievously, hugging the flustered, even cuter Liya and teasing her again.

Knock, knock, knock.

From outside finally came Lin’s voice, unable to bear it any longer: “Saintess, the time has come. Please begin your preparations.”

“U-understood, I’ll start right away.”

Liya answered quickly and used the chance to escape from the bad man’s claws, puffing her cheeks in indignation.

“A-anyway! I’m the Church’s Saintess! I absolutely won’t do such shameless things!”

Then she truly seemed angry, pushing Muen away. “Get up, I have to get serious now!”

“Alright, alright. If the Saintess doesn’t wish it, how could I force her?”

Muen stood up helplessly, slipping away to put on his clothes.

“Wait.”

“Hm? ➤ NоvеⅠight ➤ (Read more on our source) What is it?”

Muen turned around, blinking at the still-angry Saintess. “Your Highness isn’t about to punish this humble servant, is she? Hmm... whether it’s stepping on me or insulting me, I’ll accept it properly.”

“That’d be a reward for you.”

Already well aware of this scoundrel’s nature, Liya pouted playfully and suddenly snatched the small toy from Muen’s hand.

“I can’t let you keep something that corrupts girls. I’m confiscating it!”

“Ah?”

“Ah what—get out already, don’t delay my business.”

“...Fine.”

Muen flexed his fingers, dressed, and with the painful expression of someone who’d lost something precious, headed for the door.

Just as it was closing, he suddenly turned back and said seriously, “Don’t you dare use it for personal pleasure!”

Of course, what he got in return was only the girl’s annoyed glare.

...

Outside the door, the High Sister had already recovered her coldness, though her face still didn’t look pleasant.

Muen scratched his head awkwardly. Remembering how he had repeatedly promised her before, yet still couldn’t resist devouring everything to the last crumb, he felt a pang of guilt.

At last, Lin spoke first, giving Muen a faint, almost mocking look.

“You really are filial to your teacher.”

“Haha, nothing special. She doesn’t have much shame anyway.”

“......”

Silence again.

Muen turned his head toward the window, gazing at the lights burning through the night and the busy Knights outside. After a pause, he said in surprise, “They still haven’t caught that escaped criminal?”

“Not yet. The target’s escape ability is extraordinary. And when we pulled the weeds, the roots came out too—after initial interrogation of those captured, we found they were just decoys meant to draw attention. The real force still has several hidden groups within the Holy City.”

“Will it threaten Liya?”

“Are you doubting the Church?”

Lin looked at him blankly, confidence between her brows.

Indeed—this was the Church, the grandest and most exalted organization in the world.

If even they couldn’t protect their own Saintess, then for Liya, there might be no safe place left in this world.

“Maybe I’m overthinking.”

Muen shook his head. “If there’s anything I can help with, just tell me anytime.”

“If I need to, I will.”

Lin nodded.

During their talk, the sound of the door opening came again.

And Liya, who had finished dressing herself, stepped out.

Muen’s eyes brightened.

He had already seen that ceremonial gown earlier, but when Liya truly appeared dressed as a Saintess, he was still quietly amazed.

Her pale-gold hair was tied high, revealing the swan-like neck beneath. Her pretty face wore not a touch of makeup, yet carried a girl’s natural serenity and purity.

The long dress fit her body, outlining her perfect curves. Countless silver threads fell like purest mercury.

Compared to the ceremonial gowns worn by many nobles Muen had seen, this one wasn’t particularly extravagant—she didn’t even need attendants to lift the train.

But it highlighted every bit of the girl’s beauty just right.

Her steps were steady; the small hands wrapped in white silk gloves were folded before her abdomen. She cast a shy, mischievous glance at Muen, then quickly lifted her head again, radiating the dignity and holiness of a Saintess.

Muen couldn’t help swallowing. Just thinking that this noble Saintess had, moments ago, been writhing in his arms, murmuring softly—his body burned all over again.

“Alright, time’s up. Let’s begin.”

Lin clapped her hands lightly.

More doors opened, and from the once-empty space, a group of graceful nuns emerged.

As the purest, holiest Saintess, Liya needed no one to dress her. None, man or woman, were qualified to gaze upon her naked body.

But for the external arrangements, assistance was still required.

It wasn’t complicated, though—the intricate preparations had long been completed.

Thus, white veils fluttered, incense spread, flower petals drifted through the air. The coronet symbolizing her identity once again reflected the world’s first glimmer of light.

Amid everyone’s reverent bows, Liya raised her head high and, as a true Saintess, stepped into the boundless radiance.
