Tycoon: I Have an Unlimited Modifier

Putting aside Tan Hua, who was the envy of her colleagues, Qi Sheng decided to check out the gym today.

He’d been living here for a few days but still hadn’t gone once.

After washing up, Qi Sheng made himself a very simple breakfast.

He had some yogurt with oats, some whole-wheat bread, and cashews.

From his closet, he picked a short-sleeved shirt and shorts suitable for a workout.

He slipped on a pair of casual mesh sneakers and grabbed two ice-cold bottles of Fiji water.

Back when he was broke, he would have agonized for ages over buying a bottle of premium water.

In the end, he would have just grabbed a 2-yuan bottle of the cheap stuff.

Now that he had money, his daily drinking water had been upgraded to 10-yuan bottles of Fiji.

A 24-pack of 500ml Fiji bottles? He’d just stock up on five cases at a time.

It wasn’t that he couldn’t afford the 16-yuan glass bottles of Voss.

Qi Sheng just couldn’t stand the taste of sparkling water.

A lot of guys trying to look cool would buy a glass bottle of VOSS mineral water.

Then they’d go home and just keep refilling it with plain boiled water.

They’d have to show it off wherever they went, terrified that no one would see it.

That wasn’t Qi Sheng’s style at all.

With his resources, getting into a pair of yoga pants would be a piece of cake.

But he’d just fulfilled his duties last night, so he wasn’t really thinking about that for the time being.

Qi Sheng arrived at the gym on the second floor. The equipment wasn’t exactly comprehensive.

But for the average fitness enthusiast, it was more than enough.

As for serious fitness buffs with higher standards, it wasn’t like there weren’t fitness studios nearby.

Many of the personal trainers there were quite good, too.

As a resident of National Gold Mansion, Qi Sheng naturally had free access to the gym.

It was one of the perks included in the high rent.

Qi Sheng found a random treadmill. After a simple warm-up, he jogged for half an hour and broke a light sweat.

His Physique of 79 made him worlds stronger than he was in his previous otaku slob phase.

He rested for a bit and rehydrated.

Qi Sheng continued running until he’d clocked a full hour, then he finally stopped.

As his heart rate quickened and he burned more energy, Qi Sheng began to sweat more and more, until his T-shirt was completely soaked.

His tall, statuesque frame and handsome face, combined with the allure of a sweat-drenched body, had a few of the girls working out nearby sneaking glances at him.

Qi Sheng had no intention of hitting on girls.

Thanks to the fitness knowledge instilled in him by the system, every one of his warm-up movements was perfectly executed.

His workout time was also scheduled very scientifically.

He spent another half an hour sweating it out in the weights section.

Qi Sheng raised his wrist to check the time. It was already 11:30.

It was time for lunch again. After resting for a moment, he tossed the empty Fiji water bottle into the trash and casually walked away.

As a resident living upstairs, being able to take the elevator straight home after a workout was indeed an awesome feeling.

He took a shower, feeling clean and refreshed.

Qi Sheng picked up his phone and searched for a yakiniku restaurant with good reviews.

He wanted to load up on protein for lunch today; he’d had a serious loss last night.

’For couples in the honeymoon phase, five times a night is just standard procedure.’

’If I don’t replenish my protein, it’ll be pretty embarrassing to run out of stock tonight.’

He went down to the parking garage on the B3 level.

In the exclusive residential parking area, he found his A8.

Speaking of which, the A8 didn’t quite match his vibe.

It was more suited for a mature man over 30.

Back then, he didn’t have many options, so he settled for the A8 as the next best thing.

Now, with two million a month coming in, he could afford to be a little impulsive.

As for what kind of car to get, he’d have to give it some thought.

His budget couldn’t exceed two million. It was only the beginning of the month, after all. After his last shopping spree—120,000 each at Gucci and LV, and almost 230,000 at Cartier—he only had 1.85 million left. Setting aside 50,000 for living expenses for the rest of the month left him with a maximum of 1.8 million to spend.

A supercar was out of the question; the most he could get was a performance car.

Thinking about buying a car, Qi Sheng drove his A8 to Tianfu 2nd Street, where there happened to be a China Construction Bank branch.

Yesterday, he’d gotten a call from China Construction Bank inviting him to apply for a card.

After all, he was now a high-net-worth individual with a monthly income in the millions.

With no debt to his name, he was naturally favored by many banks.

Qi Sheng had been receiving a lot of similar calls lately.

Especially on the day the system’s two million reward was deposited.

Customer managers from Minsheng Bank, China Merchants Bank, Bank of Communications... they had all called him.

They even said they could offer him a credit card with a high limit, starting at least with a premium platinum card.

He got stuck in traffic for a while, and by the time he arrived, it was almost 12:30 PM.

When Qi Sheng arrived at the branch, he found a staff member and was immediately led to the VIP lounge.

Soon, a young woman in her twenties confidently strode over in her high heels.

”Mr. Qi, good afternoon.”

The young woman introduced herself: ”My name is Chu Qing. I invited you here so you could learn about the benefits of our China Construction Bank’s platinum credit cards. High-net-worth individuals like yourself are precisely the clients we at CCB are most eager to serve...”

Qi Sheng had never had a bank card with China Construction Bank before, let alone a credit card.

Chu Qing had some knowledge of the transaction history in Qi Sheng’s account.

Two million coming in as dividends from a family trust—he had the full potential to become one of their bank’s top-tier clients.

That was why she had taken the liberty of calling Qi Sheng.

”I’d like to know, the credit card you can offer me—is it the Dàshān Platinum or the Diamond Card?”

Qi Sheng had a good sense of his own standing.

He definitely couldn’t qualify for CCB’s top-tier Dragon Card right now.

Even the Diamond Card, one tier down, would probably be difficult to get.

”As for the Diamond Card, the most I can apply for on your behalf is a base limit of 500,000.”

”You probably understand our bank’s customer tier system.”

”Typically, Diamond Card users have assets and transaction volumes in the tens of millions.”

”Some high-net-worth clients even have a limit of five million, which isn’t much different from our top-tier Dragon Card users.”

Chu Qing was being very sincere. She had just started not long ago and didn’t have much authority.

”Hm, let’s go with the Diamond Card then. The limit doesn’t matter.”

Since Chu Qing could get him a Diamond Card, Qi Sheng certainly wasn’t going to lower his standards and apply for a Platinum Card.

”Okay, then please come with me. We need to fill out some information.”

Chu Qing had originally intended for Qi Sheng to get the Dàshān Platinum, where she could have used her authority to get him a higher limit.

But as it turned out, he didn’t even give it a second thought.

’It makes sense, though.’

’With two million a month coming in under the guise of family trust dividends, of course his standards would be high.’

’Probably only the Dragon Card could get an excited expression out of this young master.’

With a customer manager like Chu Qing handling things, Qi Sheng only needed to fill in the key information and sign his name a few times.

The card approval was also very fast. By the time he walked out of the CCB branch, it was only 1:00 PM.

A new black Diamond Card, which was quite handsome, now sat inside his LV bifold wallet.

The mandatory annual fee was 4,800, which was pocket change for him.

The credit limit was 500,000. Qi Sheng wasn’t dissatisfied.

’Once there’s more money in my account, the limit will naturally increase.’
