Tycoon: I Have an Unlimited Modifier

The defining feature of Sam’s Supermarket is its massive quantities.

Products are all sold in bulk, perfect for shopping for large households.

The two of them finished picking out everyday items like plates, chopsticks, and cups, as well as all sorts of seasonings.

They grabbed a rice cooker, an electric wok, and a clay pot for making soup.

They also grabbed beer and other drinks by the case, which was incredibly satisfying.

At checkout, aside from the 260 for the membership card, they spent an additional 13,000.

They had bought so much stuff that the A8’s trunk and back seat were completely stuffed.

There was even a large shopping bag at Tan Hua’s feet in the passenger seat and another one in her lap.

In her entire life, Tan Hua had never had such an amazing time grocery shopping.

She was finally getting a taste of the joys of being rich.

Buying things without looking at the price, just grabbing whatever she liked.

As they passed the family planning aisle.

Qi Sheng grabbed a box of contraceptives to test Tan Hua’s reaction.

When Tan Hua saw it, she blushed and pinched his waist hard a few times, but she tacitly approved of his action.

Since she had decided to date Qi Sheng, satisfying her boyfriend’s needs was also part of her duties as a girlfriend.

Seeing Tan Hua’s shy but unopposed expression, Qi Sheng knew tonight was a sure thing.

On the way home, Qi Sheng had a smug grin on his face.

It earned him a few eye-rolls from Tan Hua from time to time.

After all, a certain someone’s little scheme was written all over his face.

Back at National Gold Mansion, Qi Sheng parked the car in the building’s exclusive residential parking area.

He took the elevator to the lobby and asked the front desk to call a couple of service staff to help carry the things from the car up to his apartment.

As long as you had money, services like these were no problem at all.

The two young men had to make several exhausting trips, a testament to just how much the couple had bought.

”Mr. Qi, we’ve brought everything up from the car for you.”

One of the male attendants said respectfully, wiping the sweat from his forehead.

Carrying all that stuff on such a hot day had left his back soaked in sweat.

”Thanks for your hard work. Go buy yourselves a drink.”

Qi Sheng nodded with a smile and pulled four 100-yuan bills from his LV clutch as a tip for their service.

”Thank you, Mr. Qi.”

The two attendants bowed hurriedly, unable to stop a smile from spreading across their faces.

Wasn’t this the whole reason they provided such attentive service?

Of course, some guests were stingy, and they couldn’t be bothered to deal with them.

...

The apartment was overflowing with their new things, so the two of them started to put everything away.

The new four-piece bedding set they had just bought definitely needed to be washed before use.

He poured in the new laundry detergent, tossing in the two sets of bedding, bath towels, hand towels, and bathrobes to be washed.

The once-empty refrigerator was now packed to the brim.

Cases of steak, salmon, imported beef, Coke, beer, kiwis, mangoes, and cantaloupes—they had it all.

In the end, they had to shove everything in just to get the refrigerator door to close.

Häagen-Dazs, which he could never afford before, they bought five tubs of it just like that.

At 100 yuan per tub, he was filled with a sense of bliss.

The Daisen hairdryer and vacuum cleaner, the Brita water filter pitcher, and the Bose mini speaker were all unboxed and set up.

The once-empty apartment instantly started to feel more like a home.

They put all the empty boxes by the door.

The building’s service staff would see them and immediately take them away to be disposed of.

Once everything was put away, Qi Sheng collapsed onto the bed, exhausted.

Tan Hua was also tired, but she didn’t dare get too close to Qi Sheng.

’I’m somewhat prepared for what’s going to happen tonight. But right now I’m all dirty and sweaty. I don’t want to give myself to him so carelessly. At the very least, I should take a shower and be in a clean, soft bed, right?’

...

”Why don’t we eat at home tonight? We just bought a ton of ingredients. I’ll cook you a feast, and we can treat it as a housewarming for me.”

Qi Sheng planned to show off his cooking skills and blow Tan Hua’s mind a little.

”You know how to cook?”

Tan Hua was very surprised. She never expected that someone as privileged as Qi Sheng would actually know how to cook.

’Shouldn’t a rich young master like him be used to having everything handed to him?’ she thought.

”Why don’t you go take a shower first? I’ll prep the ingredients. By the way, I brought a change of clothes and a towel for you from your place.”

After saying this, Qi Sheng headed toward the kitchen area.

”You villain.”

Tan Hua shot Qi Sheng a flirtatious eye-roll.

’This guy obviously planned everything out long ago. He’s not going to let me get away tonight, no matter what.’

Towel and clothes in hand, Tan Hua walked into the bathroom.

Looking at the bathtub in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, a trace of envy and anticipation flashed in Tan Hua’s beautiful eyes.

Having a bathtub was the dream of so many girls struggling to make it in the big city.

And all she had to do was live with Qi Sheng to live the life so many other girls dreamed of.

While Tan Hua was showering, Qi Sheng defrosted the beef and shrimp they had bought.

He planned to make beef stew with red wine, braised prawns, twice-cooked pork, and Gong Bao chicken.

Four main dishes, more than enough for the two of them.

Considering Tan Hua was from Sichuan Province, he was making local specialties.

A guy who can cook is naturally a big plus.

And for a girl from Sichuan and Chongqing, a guy who can cook Sichuan cuisine? It was almost too much to resist.

When Tan Hua came out of the bathroom, she was greeted by an incredibly tantalizing aroma.

The enticing fragrance of rice steaming in the rice cooker also wafted through the air at the perfect moment.

She saw Qi Sheng deftly scrubbing a wok, and on the table were four steaming dishes—all of which were her favorites.

Tan Hua, who had already been moved by him at lunch, felt an even stronger conviction that Qi Sheng was the only one for her in this life.

”What are you standing there for? Sit down and eat.”

Qi Sheng washed his hands and gestured for Tan Hua to join him with a smile.

He served her a bowl of fragrant rice.

Wuchang rice from his hometown region felt incredibly familiar to him here in Chengdu.

”Wow, this is delicious!”

Tan Hua picked up a piece with her chopsticks. She had been thinking that even if it tasted average, she would make sure to eat a lot.

But the moment it entered her mouth, she was instantly blown away by Qi Sheng’s culinary skills.

”It’s good, right?”

Qi Sheng asked with absolute confidence.

’Professional Level cooking skills, with knowledge spanning all the major cuisines... Even if I became a chef, I’d have a bright future.’

”It’s super delicious!”

Tan Hua took elegant, small bites, studying the man who was becoming more familiar to her with growing curiosity.

’It’s like he’s shrouded in mist, with so many good qualities just waiting for me to discover them. He’s rich, tall, has a good physique, cooks well, sings beautifully... Even if some other rich heir with a car just as nice and just as much spending money pursued me... would he cook a heartwarming dinner for me like Qi Sheng has?’

The answer was obvious. Qi Sheng was one of a kind.

If she let him go, she would never find another like him.

After dinner, even Qi Sheng was impressed by his own cooking.

It wasn’t just good; it was at least on par with the meal he’d had at Yue Xuan at noon.

’With these cooking skills, plus my looks and height, what high-scoring girl could I not win over?’

After the meal, Tan Hua took the sheets and duvet cover out of the dryer, and she and Qi Sheng made the bed together.

Then she took out a warm towel and bathrobe and shyly motioned for Qi Sheng to go take a shower.

With the speed of a lightning bolt, Qi Sheng dashed into the bathroom and began scrubbing himself down.

He spent about ten minutes washing himself spotlessly clean.

His tall, upright figure was faintly visible beneath the loose-fitting bathrobe.

Qi Sheng saw that the bedroom was pitch-black, with only the bright moonlight filtering in. He was about to turn on the light.

”Don’t turn on the light.”

Tan Hua’s faint voice came from under the covers.

Qi Sheng chuckled. He didn’t pull any tricks.

It was understandable that a girl would be shy.

As Qi Sheng lifted the thin comforter, his hand touched the enticing body he had been craving for so long.

”Here.”

Tan Hua’s small, fair hand reached out from under the covers and handed something to Qi Sheng.

”What is it?”

Qi Sheng paused, then glanced down.

Holy crap, a Durex.

”Tonight is special. We’ll use this next time.”

Without a second thought, Qi Sheng tossed it far away.

How could he allow a barrier to get in the way of such a sacred moment?

”You villain!”

Tan Hua bit Qi Sheng’s shoulder fiercely, but she tacitly consented to his next move.

Soon, the brand-new bedsheets were stained with a single, vibrant red rose.

At this moment, how could Qi Sheng possibly care about any of that?

He even tossed aside the system’s notification about a permission upgrade.

In two lifetimes, this was his first top-tier girlfriend. No one was going to interrupt him.
