From MC’s Perspective

After calming down my heart, my gaze fell on the stats. The improvement in talent has brought certain changes as well.

The rate of absorption of the mental method has increased. It’s 90% now. It was only something possible with a Heaven Grade Method.

But I have done it with the Earth Grade Method. If I possessed a Heaven Grade Method, then my rate of progress would be unimaginable.

A glint appeared in my eyes. I am an official member of the Silver Magic Tower. I have yet to join the real Mage Union. I guess the real secrets are in the Mage Union.

If I come across a Heaven Grade Method there, I won’t be surprised. But for that, I have to become an important and powerful wizard.

It’s only possible at the level of the Forbidden Wizards. Even the Magic Lord Level is not going to be enough.

Then, my gaze shifted to the mana reserve. It has increased by 200 points. I was not surprised. I knew it would increase with the improvement in talent.

Next, I went through the other stats. The rest was fine. Now, I can attempt a breakthrough without needing the special paradise land.

The Superior Top Talent has improved my affinity and comprehension. I can attempt to break through the rules first.

I didn’t start right away. I closed the status panel and stood up. I think this hollow pit is both a safe and a dangerous place.

If I become a Supreme Wizard, then my chance of escaping will be higher. I can withstand the evil hand force.

After gaining some clarity, I left the room. Then I came to the hall. I saw the Zero Puppet and Hank.

“How is he?” I asked the Zero Puppet.

“Master. His complexion is turning better. There are no abnormal changes. After taking a few days of rest, he will be fine,” the Zero Puppet replied.

Hearing that, I nodded and used the system to check the injuries. The system said that the medicine is working. The magical healing power has started healing the difficult injuries.

Then I went to check Otto and Patrick. Their rooms were closed. I went to check the Vine Monster’s room. Its room was closed as well.

“Sigh!”

I let out a sigh before returning to the hall. Then I gave the puppet a pouch of super-grade mana stones. I ordered the puppet to watch over them.

I told the puppet to inform the others not to disturb my practice. I will explain it to them later.

After coming to the control room, I made sure that the room was closed. Initially, I was not planning to let these people in.

But because of the Crimson Artifact, I had to change my mind. If they ever tried to betray me, they would face death.

Then I came to the control mirror.

Boom!

Suddenly, I heard a sound coming from outside. In a flash, I appeared in front of the control mirror. I didn’t know what was going on.

But how could I forget that sound? It appeared someone had entered the ancient pit.

Scream!

I heard a loud scream a few seconds later. The voice gave me a familiar feeling. My mind raced before connecting the dots.

“Don’t tell me?” I uttered.

There is a possibility that the person was Magic Lord Johan. This guy didn’t leave but came to the ancient pit. But why? Then my eyes flashed with understanding.

A commotion had occurred when I entered earlier. It was because of the monstrous evil hand. It was so close to killing me.

Now it’s happening again. I believe that the earlier commotion might have attracted the City Lord. His loud screams told me that his fate ends here.

I guess the same evil hand perhaps killed all those ancient wizards before. Then I collected my thoughts and sat cross-legged on the ground.

I closed my eyes and started focusing on the Forbidden Gravity Inheritance. I had increased my rule power by trying to comprehend it.

This time, I’m going to try the same.

Time went by.

As I gained a closer connection to the gravity mana, my understanding got better. The earlier doubts regarding the rule power got cleared.

The forbidden runes hidden all over my bones flickered over time. Slowly, the runes started strengthening the body.

The physique, along with the mana core and the spell models in my mind, underwent a transformation.

Meanwhile

The final cry of the Magic Lord was so high that it alarmed the monsters and the wandering wizards in the forest.

His gruesome death and the destruction of the Magic Lord Level mana core disturbed the mana in the skies.

It was chaotic because of the commotion earlier. Now the disturbance has increased. The destruction of the mana core of a Magic Lord was not a small thing.

The monstrous evil hand offset most of the power. Yet, small strands of the power struck the walls. It caused cracks on the rock pieces, causing boulder-sized rocks to fall over.

The monstrous evil hand submerged into the black water.

…

Thornside City

With the fall of Magic Lord Johan, his contracted monsters were facing a death crisis as well. The thorn trees, which had grown over 200 meters tall, started dying.

Both the Magic Lord and his magic monsters shared life and death together. So, the huge trees standing all over the city began to crumble.

The leaves and thorn-like spikes began to fall over the city.

Boom!

Their fall to the ground caused a huge commotion.

The Supreme Wizards and Level-9 Wizards rose to the sky. They were witnessing the fall of the magic trees.

The faces of the Supreme Wizards changed drastically.

They could see more than the other wizards. The Supreme Wizards looked at each other. Their eyes filled with fear.

They could tell that the Magic Lord Level magic trees were dying. Their death would cause a mana riot. It would sweep away the people and the buildings here.

Apart from the Supreme Wizards and strong Level-9 Wizards, others would die. They had no choice but to make quick arrangements.
