Gravity Mage with Level-Up System

From MC’s Perspective

I saw a couple of wizards arriving at the scene and inspecting the impact site. I used a system function to confirm their identity.

Their strength was at the level of a Level-10 Supreme Wizard. They were the Supreme Wizards who were locals of the city.

I raised my eyebrows in surprise. Their actions and words appeared clearly on the control mirror. I didn’t expect them to figure out the power of the spell.

I’m not a Supreme Wizard yet, so my spell didn’t have Level-10 Magic rules. I didn’t know what they were planning to do next.

…

Outside

The Supreme Wizards spent an hour at the site to find some clues, but they got nothing in return. They didn’t even find what the element of the magic spell was.

However, the old woman had detected traces of evil mana lingering in the surroundings. Its presence was low. Even a Wizard at her level would find it difficult to sense it.

Her suspicion grew, but she didn’t share her suspicion with others. They were not the main power in the city.

There was a Fire Magic Lord behind them. He was the most powerful wizard in the city. The Magic Lord would be able to find more clues than others.

The old woman decided to wait for him.

As time went by, the other Supreme Wizards noticed the crowds were gathering in large numbers.

Because of the Supreme Wizards, they were all standing a hundred meters away from the explosion site.

The Supreme Wizards’ presence stopped them from going further. Everyone noticed this matter. The Supreme Wizards discussed with each other.

A few of them split up and went towards the Fire Magic Lord’s residence. The others chose to stay here. Then they asked the people to leave this place.

They didn’t know the reason behind the explosion, and neither did the people. But the locals didn’t have any other choice than to leave the place.

The Supreme Wizards then waited for the First Lord to come.

That night, a flame ball flew over the city and came to the explosion site. The locals and elders of the families were familiar with the sight.

They knew it was the only Magic Lord in their city. It was the Fire Magic Lord; the flame appeared because of his movements in the air.

The Fire Magic Lord stood in mid-air before looking down at the crater below. He had lost sight of the Evil Magic Lord.

By following him, he had gone far away. After chasing the enemy for so long, he understood that the Evil Magic Lord didn’t intend to fight him from the very beginning.

He realized it too late. Then he came back to the city. He was afraid that there could be others eyeing the city. It was more dangerous to stay away from the city for a long time.

But he was able to confirm something: The Evil Magic Lord was a user of evil mana. He saw the Supreme Wizards. He nodded to them before inspecting the place.

He quickly found the traces of evil magic rule. Since he was a Magic Lord, he could see more clearly than others. He found the traces of the magic rules.

But these magic rules were powerful. Then he furrowed his eyebrows and found more than one set of magic rules. It showed that it was not the spell of the Evil Magic Lord.

He must have used some evil inscriptions to cause disaster to the city. Unlike the magic spell, the outcome of the evil inscription would occur later.

It could be the destruction of the whole city.

The Fire Magic Lord broke out into a cold sweat. He was so close to seeing the destruction of the city. If the evil inscription power had activated, it would have been impossible for him to stop it as well.

If he had used a magic spell attack in return, the destruction would have been greater.

The other Supreme Wizards noticed the change in his expression. Especially the old woman, who spotted the fear in the Magic Lord’s eyes. Her heart was in turmoil.

She didn’t know why the Fire Magic Lord was scared. There must be a big reason. She could already tell that it could be related to the Evil Magic Rule Power.

The old woman got scared as well. She didn’t dare to ask the question. The other Supreme Wizards were clueless.

The Fire Magic Lord then collected his thoughts.

He turned towards the other Supreme Wizards. He then said, “Be vigilant. There are other forces eyeing our city.”

Hearing that, the Supreme Wizards were taken aback, except for the old woman.

“Lord, what’s going on here?”

“Who is targeting us?”

The Supreme Wizards asked back-to-back questions.

The Fire Magic Lord furrowed his eyebrows. He was not going to tell them. Otherwise, the Supreme Wizards would be terrified.

“Just do what I say!”

“Send more wizards to monitor the border.” After saying that, he left the place.

The old woman sighed in relief. She was worried that the situation was worse. But it appeared it was not. If the situation was that serious, the Fire Magic Lord would have already ordered them to do something.

But it didn’t happen. The other Supreme Wizards began to act. They started a quick discussion. They decided to send Level-9 Wizards from each of their families to guard their border.

Swoosh!

Then they left the place. The old woman also ordered the family head to send the wizards to the border.

Twenty minutes later,

More than a dozen wizards left the city gate. They were going to guard the place outside the border. These wizards knew that the Fire Magic Lord had ordered their elders to guard the city.

In the blink of an eye, they separated into teams and landed on specific spots in four directions. The locals were scared as well.

The explosion had alarmed them. But no one was saying anything to them. The presence of the Supreme Wizards scared them.

No one was ready to go back to the explosion site to check again. They were afraid of offending the Supreme Wizards.
