Urban All-Round Master

”Crash... Crash... Crash...” Whether on the stage or below, everyone saw Situ Mingzheng being blasted away by the young man in white, and he was severely injured. Instantly, everyone was astonished, thinking that Situ Mingzheng had been defeated.

But what they didn’t know was that even though Situ Mingzheng was injured, he managed to severely wound his opponent, which was exactly Situ Mingzheng’s tactic.

”Mingzheng!”

Situ Xuanwen and his youngest son Situ Xuan both stood up at the same time, seeing their son so severely injured, their hearts ached to the point of bleeding. If possible, he genuinely wished his son would just surrender and step down. After all, preserving one’s life is the most crucial thing. If one lost their life, what’s the point of fighting? Life is of utmost importance.

But right now, Dongfang Ziyue had just withdrawn from the competition and was defeated. If the Lianyun Empire lost another match, their reputation would suffer an immense blow.

At this moment, as a father, Situ Xuanwen was anxious, his eyes reddened, not knowing how to step forward to help. It must be understood that in this competition, he couldn’t intervene. If he asked the Emperor to end the match, it would undoubtedly be a slap in his own face, and even more so, a blow to the Lianyun Empire’s dignity, which is completely unacceptable.

The key issue is, if things continue this way, he’s afraid of whether his son’s life can be preserved. It’s known throughout the Situ family that they rely on this son to bring them honor. Even if he doesn’t die, being severely injured and difficult to recover from would be a huge loss. If they lost a National Guardian General, it wouldn’t just be the Situ family; it would be a substantial loss for the Lianyun Empire as well.

Desperate!

Situ Xuanwen was sweating profusely, while earlier, Dongfang Ziyue’s surrender left Dongfang Haoxuan feeling uneasy. Seeing Situ Mingzheng now on the verge of defeat, a mocking smile unwittingly appeared at the corner of his mouth. Situ Xuanwen had mocked him before, and now he was being mocked right back, and there was no denying how satisfied he felt inside.

”No, no, this match cannot continue any longer. My brother is seriously injured,” said Situ Xuan, anxiously pacing on the side. But right now, there’s nothing he can do to help; he can only stand by nervously.

Not just them, even Emperor Liu Fatty was gritting his teeth, feeling an urge to not want to watch anymore. Could it be that his Empire had to lose another match? This loss would be too disgraceful; a mighty empire being outdone by two minor duchies, truly shameful; utterly disgraceful.

Meanwhile, National Guardian Martial God Dongfang Haoxuan was both excited and worried. Excited because, although Dongfang Ziyue had sensibly chosen to withdraw earlier, losing some face, now the Situ family’s National Guardian General’s life was at stake. For the entire great Empire, this wasn’t necessarily a good thing.

As everyone was worrying about Situ Mingzheng, the young man in white, Tian Ci, suddenly turned pale and spat out a mouthful of blood in front of everyone.

”Wow~”

The audience once again erupted into astonishment. Since Situ Mingzheng’s opponent was also injured and similarly spitting blood, it indicated that Situ Mingzheng still had a chance to fight on. Perhaps if he gritted his teeth for a few more rounds, the situation could completely turn around?

But, although that’s the talk, those who haven’t stepped onto the Martial Arts Arena in person, how could they know what Situ Mingzheng is feeling in his heart at this very moment?

”Roar!”

Suddenly, Situ Mingzheng’s eyes reddened, furiously charging at the young man in white. Facing the aggressive Situ Mingzheng, the young man in white became extremely focused. He had also sustained serious injuries, and now Situ Mingzheng was desperate. Even if he managed to defeat his opponent, he himself would be mortally wounded, making victory not worth the cost.

”Fight!”

Situ Mingzheng was a martial arts fanatic, disregarding everything else, intent on tearing his opponent apart. Facing the frenzied Situ Mingzheng, the young man in white wasn’t a fool; he naturally knew the terrifying extent of his opponent’s frenzy, so he could only brace himself and charge.

”Whoosh~”

Situ Mingzheng’s five fingers turned into claws, like five fine steel blades, cutting through the Void, directly slashing towards the throat of the young man in white. Those five fingers were unmatched in sharpness, and if hit, no matter how impervious the young man in white’s flesh might be, he would still be severely injured by his opponent, possibly reversed to a defeat.

The young man’s folding fan was already ruined, and he could only grit his teeth, meeting Situ Mingzheng’s claws with his bare fists. Boom! The wind pressure surged, the young man’s Iron Fist crashing into Situ Mingzheng’s sharp claws like fine steel.

In this strike, the clash directly shattered Situ Mingzheng’s claws with an incessant cracking sound, and it was clear that his fingers were shattered by his opponent’s fists. Following that, the young man in white, lithe and graceful, leaped up, his small stature agile as a clever cat, climbed onto Situ Mingzheng’s back, and then, with momentum, clamped Situ Mingzheng’s neck with his legs.

This clamp clearly put Situ Mingzheng in a bad situation.

”You must not lose!” On the stage, Situ Xuanwen’s heart was more anxious and tense than anyone else’s; the young man’s legs tightly clamped around his neck—a very perilous situation. If the young man in white did not hold back, he might end Situ Mingzheng’s life right there.

”Ugh ah!!”

However, suddenly, Situ Mingzheng opened his mouth and, ignoring any semblance of image, bit down hard on the young man’s thigh, refusing to let go!

The young man in white roared in agony, skyward; his two legs abruptly exerted force to deliver a fatal blow to Situ Mingzheng. However, being a National Guardian General, having endured countless life-and-death battlefields, how could Situ Mingzheng be so easily defeated?

Letting out a loud roar, he exerted all his strength, grabbed the young man in white’s legs like iron clamps, and fiercely swung them to the ground.

The young man in white, taking advantage, slammed a palm on his shoulder, propelling himself into the air, evading his grasp. But, Situ Mingzheng, soaring up, wrapped his arms around the young man’s body, and they both crashed to the ground with a boom. With a loud crash, they both smashed into the ground heavily.

The young man in white gritted his teeth in pain, entangled together, despite their injured arms and severe bodily injuries, Situ Mingzheng was all-in.

”Bang!”

The young man in white, grit his teeth and punched Situ Mingzheng’s chest, but Situ Mingzheng also delivered a heavy punch in return. Like that, in close combat, fighting each other with blood splattering, neither yielding to the other. If there hadn’t been anyone to stop this fervent battle, the two might have been critically injured or even died from mutual injuries.

The match had to be ended, declaring the two as equals.

After forcibly separating them, neither one would concede, glaring maliciously at each other.

This round was considered a draw, but the Lianyun Empire had already lost a previous match. If they lost the next one, it would be over; if they won, it would merely draw. Though it seemed it wasn’t so disgraceful for the Lianyun Empire, it was still a loss of face.
