Urban All-Round Master

As for Situ Xuanwen, he knew that no matter how the other party exaggerated, his son suffered a significant loss, and one returning palm strike shouldn’t be lethal, right?

If it were any ordinary servant, more than a slap would be in order; they’d simply be executed...

Even Dongfang Haoxuan fell silent for a moment. After all, Lin Zifeng had injured Situ Xuan and had publicly humiliated him; allowing him just one palm strike was already quite lenient.

Although it was just one palm strike, who could predict whether this palm would be fatal?

Nobody was certain of Lin Zifeng’s cultivation strength; it seemed like one palm might indeed end his life.

Just when Dongfang Xiaofeng and her father were extremely anxious, Lin Zifeng, however, nonchalantly smiled.

He smiled and said, ”A palm strike, right? Sure, I accept your terms.”

Who would have thought Lin Zifeng would actually nod and agree.

”Lin Zifeng, are you sure you can handle it?” Dongfang Xiaofeng exclaimed first. Even if Situ Xuan was incompetent, the power of one palm wasn’t small, especially since the Situ Family’s Fire Intense Palm was notoriously fearsome, and someone like Situ Xuan, with near Qi Dao Realm cultivation, was considered a genius.

With a single strike from a Qi Dao Realm, it might truly kill him.

”Don’t worry, even if I die, it’s a consequence of my actions, and I want to take responsibility for them.” Lin Zifeng smiled.

It sounded sincere enough that any average person would think they’d misheard, but Dongfang Haoxuan was unfazed. He couldn’t see through Lin Zifeng and didn’t know the extent of his abilities; however, he was sure that if he dared to take that palm, it meant he had confidence. Otherwise, who would gamble with their life?

”Kid, since you’re courting death, you can’t blame me.”

Situ Xuan sneered internally.

Rubbing his hands, he could hardly wait to deliver a palm to Lin Zifeng.

Lin Zifeng stood with a smile, relaxed in front of Situ Xuan, seemingly waiting for his slap.

Seeing Lin Zifeng look so at ease, Situ Xuan gritted his teeth.

Approaching, he asked through clenched teeth, ”Kid, are you ready?”

”Ready,” Lin Zifeng nodded, unfazed by his palm.

”Good!”

Situ Xuan sneered and then tightened his fists, suddenly raising his head. A powerful burst of Elemental Power enveloped his right head, and he fiercely punched toward Lin Zifeng’s abdomen.

Facing the menacing punch from Situ Xuan, Lin Zifeng didn’t even flinch, and with a bang!

The ferocious fist hammered heavily on Lin Zifeng’s abdomen. Instantly, all the power of Situ Xuan’s fist surged into his body.

Situ Xuan was confident in this punch, certain it could injure or even kill Lin Zifeng.

However, after that punch landed, it was vastly different from what he imagined. Not only was the other party unharmed, but it seemed as if his fist’s power plunged into a mire and was completely nullified...

Situ Xuan was dumbfounded.

What kind of situation was this? Could it be that his punch didn’t actually manage to hurt Lin Zifeng?

To create a deceptive illusion before Situ Xuan, Lin Zifeng didn’t show that he wasn’t in pain. Instead, he let out a howl and, following Situ Xuan’s punch, bent over with a series of exaggerated groans, retreating slowly in an expertly crafted performance. It completely baffled Situ Xuan into thinking it was all just an illusion...

Retreating until he collapsed on the ground, holding his chest and howling, Lin Zifeng realized he might have overdone his performance.

”...”

The person who most wanted to cry had to be Situ Xuan. Clearly, he punched the abdomen, so why was Lin Zifeng clutching his chest instead? He didn’t even hit his chest; it was absurd beyond belief...

The supposed thick-skinned National Guardian Martial God, Dongfang Haoxuan, finally understood today what true thick-skinnedness was...

”Situ Xuan, didn’t you say it was just a palm strike? Why did you hit with a fist?” Dongfang Xiaofeng immediately stepped forward, voicing her dissatisfaction, stating that it was supposed to be just a palm, yet he shamelessly used a fist. This was blatantly intentional injury.

Seeing Lin Zifeng’s pitiful state, even Dongfang Xiaofeng felt a pang of empathy.

”I...”

Situ Xuan, knowing he was in the wrong, blinked with guilt, trying to speak, but when the words reached his lips, he found himself unable to utter them.

He wasn’t sure what to say.

After all, he was in the wrong, and no excuse would suffice.

”I never expected you to be so shameless. You agreed to use a palm, but you used a fist. You were clearly trying to kill him!”

Dongfang Xiaofeng, unfazed, hurriedly ran to Lin Zifeng to help him up. ”Lin Zifeng, are you okay?” she asked with concern.

”I won’t die just yet, but it feels like there’s a fiery flow in my heart, liver, and lungs, as if my organs are on fire,” Lin Zifeng feigned a pained expression. Upon hearing this, Situ Xuanwen’s heart leaped with joy.

Internally, he chuckled, thinking Lin Zifeng must have been hit by the Fire Intense Palm. Although Situ Xuan used a fist, the force behind it was comparable to a palm, and furthermore, the Fire Burning Fist was powerful.

Believing Lin Zifeng would surely die, he stepped forward, clasped his hands toward Dongfang Haoxuan, and with squinted eyes of laughter, said, ”Since that young man has taken a punch from my son, the debt is paid. I hope our two families don’t let this create conflict.”

”Of course~”

Dongfang Haoxuan nodded with a forced smile.

However, his expression was gravely serious, fearing that Lin Zifeng might not survive that fierce punch.

Seeing Lin Zifeng’s pained demeanor, especially his words about his organs being on fire, made Situ Xuan feel he wouldn’t survive till tomorrow.

Thus, he approached Lin Zifeng, sneering twice before leaving Marquis Mansion with his father, elated...

After the Situ father and son left Marquis Mansion, Dongfang Haoxuan hurried forward to check on Lin Zifeng. But who would’ve thought Lin Zifeng would simply brush off the dust and get up on his own?

He smiled and said, ”I’m fine now, thank you for your concern, Marquis.”

”...”

Dongfang Haoxuan was taken aback, incredulous, ”You’re alright now?”

”There wasn’t much of an issue, just that my stomach feels a bit uncomfortable.” Lin Zifeng didn’t dare to claim he was completely fine; if he did, the National Guardian Martial God might think Lin Zifeng was a formidable expert and keep observing him, which would be unpleasant.
