Urban All-Round Master

Talking about this, Liu Ruyan still felt a bit disappointed. She realized that he would still leave Zhonghai. Currently, she had been developing a strategy for the valuable region of Jiangzhou, but things hadn’t really been very clear.

After all, the cultural and geographical environment of Jiangzhou is quite different from Zhonghai and Yanjing.

”By the way, there’s something I’d like to discuss with you.” Liu Ruyan, being a smart woman, thought it might be too early to talk about feelings, so she changed her tactics to talk about something else.

”What’s the matter?” Lin Zifeng looked up at her.

”Didn’t I mention to you some time ago about Huayu Group’s expansion into Jiangzhou? Although you silently agreed at the time, you never brought it up again. I wonder if you still remember it?”

”Expanding into Jiangzhou?” Lin Zifeng furrowed his brow slightly, unsure if he felt joy or worry. It’s a good thing, after all. Once expanded into Jiangzhou, it would be great news for the South Heavenly Gate and a significant step forward for his personal ambitions.

”Yes. Have you forgotten?” Liu Ruyan’s eyes sparkled with sharpness.

”Oh, I haven’t forgotten, of course I remember. How do you plan to proceed?” Lin Zifeng smiled. He picked up the cup of coffee, taking a light sip, while his mind raced. Jiangzhou, a precious land, could certainly stand on equal footing with Zhonghai.

Lin Zifeng focused most on three major regions: Zhonghai, Yanjing, and Jiangzhou.

Zhonghai is the international capital, Yanjing is the cultural capital, and Jiangzhou is the capital of heritage. They are all excellent places, and the distance between the three areas is not very far, especially since Jiangzhou and Zhonghai are connected.

”Do you support me?” Liu Ruyan could sense Lin Zifeng’s interest in her plan.

”If you think there’s no issue, then go ahead and expand into Jiangzhou.” Lin Zifeng shrugged indifferently, casually. Since they had already made their decision, what could he do? Besides, he had long wanted to incorporate Jiangzhou within the influence of the South Heavenly Gate, but it always seemed not worth the cost.

”Is this for real?”

Liu Ruyan’s eyes widened in amazement. To her, she never expected things to go so smoothly, almost too smoothly.

”Must you be so surprised? It’s just an expansion into Jiangzhou. As long as you have absolute strength and confidence, wouldn’t incorporating the whole world into the South Heavenly Gate be a joyous thing for you?” Lin Zifeng rolled his eyes, giving her a slightly annoyed glance.

”Lin Zifeng! I simply love you too much.” Suddenly, she leaned forward and gave him a peck on the cheek.

This unexpected surprise left Lin Zifeng dumbfounded. Touching the cheek that had been kissed, he didn’t even know what to say...

Liu Ruyan seemed to realize her behavior was a bit out of line, and her face turned red as a tomato. ”Well, I have something else to do, see you later in the meeting room...” With that, she twisted her way out on her high heels, leaving someone behind covering his face with his right hand, eyes full of astonishment...

......

Soon, everyone gathered in the meeting room.

Lin Zifeng wasted no words, directly sharing the purpose of his return with everyone. Once there were no more discussions below, he then boldly proposed establishing a charitable organization in Zhonghai!

Moreover, the person in charge of this charity was someone with no connections to the South Heavenly Gate! Lin Chuqing!

”Young Master Lin, why choose her?”

Zhang Yuxuan felt particularly puzzled when she heard that Lin Chuqing was chosen to lead the charity. After all, Lin Chuqing wasn’t part of the South Heavenly Gate, nor did she work at Huayu Group, which made it seem bizarre for her to lead the charity, especially since she was just a blind girl...

Upon hearing Zhang Yuxuan’s doubts, and noticing the perplexed stares from many of the top executives present, Lin Zifeng understood they might not know Lin Chuqing well, nor comprehend how extraordinary his decision was this time. After all, Lin Chuqing wasn’t exactly considered part of the South Heavenly Gate.

But... even though everyone harbored questions, no one said too much.

”Hehe, maybe some of you present know about Lin Chuqing, while others don’t. But I can directly respond to Yuxuan’s question. Yes! That’s right. I’m selfish, and very much so. Chuqing is my recognized god-sister, and her life story is quite pitiful. If I hadn’t helped her back then, maybe... maybe today, she would still just be an ordinary flower-selling little girl. In the end, I genuinely felt sorry for her back then, so I took her as my sister and privately used many contacts to protect her.

In fact, I even let her take my surname. She was a poor girl who didn’t even know her own surname before. Now, her surname is Lin. The Lin from Lin Zifeng!” At this, Lin Zifeng paused, Ling Li’s eyes glanced at Nangong Bing, who was listening quietly like the Empress Dowager, without saying a word.

Zhang Mengjie was also quietly listening.

”She used to be a blind girl, a blind girl taken in by an old lady who scavenged for scraps. Blind for many years, she endured a dark and hopeless life, yet she was incredibly optimistic. So optimistic that she could influence everyone around her. She is especially pure and kind. Being with her doesn’t bring pain but full of positive energy and happiness. Do you know why?” Lin Zifeng glanced around the room.

Everyone shook their heads.

”Because what she shares isn’t complaints or entanglements. She longs for life and brightness, influencing everyone around her, including the Shadow Group members I originally sent to ensure her safety. They came back and told me they wanted to protect her forever. Do you know why?

She provided them with three meals a day. She personally boiled water for them to drink. Not just for a day or two, but for two months straight! Now, who could do that for so long?”

Once again, Lin Zifeng paused. Observing everyone’s expressions, he chuckled: ”Are you all feeling sympathetic towards her now? No, you shouldn’t pity her, because her life now is even better than before. Just in the past two days, her eyes have been healed. She is no longer the blind girl she once was. I believe, given Lin Chuqing’s purity and kindness, she is the best choice to lead the charitable organization out of anyone!”

”Wow... wow... wow...”

Everyone in the meeting room stood up. The crowd was moved by Lin Zifeng, and the women’s hearts, already soft, felt deep sadness at hearing Lin Chuqing’s life story, only to experience joy when they learned her eyes had been healed.

”Young Master Lin, the people you choose are definitely not lacking!”

Zhang Mengjie stood up, her eyes filled with confidence. She believed that the people Lin Zifeng selected would not disappoint.

”Lin Zifeng, I’ll give you two thumbs up!”

Nangong Bing rarely stood up with a warm smile, raising both hands with two thumbs up and squinting happily. That demeanor was totally unlike the usual icy goddess...

”Save the thumbs up. But I wouldn’t mind a couple of kisses.” Lin Zifeng thought mischievously, smiling inwardly.
