Urban All-Round Master

”Sis, what do we do now? Brother Lin is already back. Do we return to South Heavenly Gate and keep waiting?” Hearing about Lin Zifeng’s return, Zhang Yuxuan finally felt a slight release from the tension that had been winding tightly within her heart. The situation at South Heavenly Gate these days had everyone on edge.

These past few days, even Zhang Yuxuan didn’t know what to do. But now, with the news of Lin Zifeng’s return, the stone weighing on everyone’s heart finally eased.

”No! Such a good opportunity right now, we absolutely cannot wait.” Zhang Mengjie rejected the idea of waiting.

”The Green Gang and Hongmen have teamed up to attack our South District. Shao Huo and the others are still on the front lines. We should help them now; I don’t want Brother Lin returning to the pain of losing brothers.”

”So what do we do? Are we going to clash with the Green Gang and Hongmen?” Zhang Yuxuan was bewildered by her sister’s intention. Engaging the Green Gang and Hongmen right now would be suicidal.

The Green Gang has mobilized many Ability Users, and Hongmen has quite a few Martial Arts experts. With the current strength of South Heavenly Gate in Zhonghai, it’s really tough to withstand them.

”Of course not. I have a plan, though it might be risky. But how can anything succeed without taking risks?” Zhang Mengjie said, her lips curving into a wide smile while shaking her head, refraining from answering further, leaving Zhang Yuxuan in a fog of confusion. Trying to ask more was pointless, for her sister had always tackled things with reckless fervor.

Consequently, the two sisters, along with their intelligence team sisters, continued moving toward the dimly lit road. These women from the intelligence team were former members of their Butterfly Gang.

Through the past six months of training and leveraging forty percent of the Hai Family’s business benefits, everyone’s abilities had upgraded by several levels...

.........

Outside the suburbs of Zhonghai City’s South District...

The Green Gang and Hongmen had amassed around several thousand people ready to enter the South District, aiming to control all its territories.

Meanwhile, Shao Huo also led a grand gathering of thousands towards the suburban area.

This cooperation between Hongmen and the Green Gang boasted tens of thousands!

And within South Heavenly Gate were ten thousand core members, while the outer faction had thirty thousand! Even fifty thousand!

Due to the vast four divisions of Zhonghai City, outside the core ten thousand members, the fringe faction was practically useless. The outer members were just petty thugs and small-time hoodlums.

Spread over the four major zones, the ten thousand people were difficult to mobilize instantly. Even those Shao Huo could rally now were just over three thousand!

In the dim moonlight, shadows flickered everywhere outside the suburban area of the South District.

”Brother Shao, they are here.”

At that moment, Shao Huo halted his steps, and all the members behind him quickly ceased moving.

Gazing at the blurred shadows under the distant moonlight, Shao Huo narrowed his eyes. A tremendous sense of pressure swelled into his brain and nerves.

This was the first unprecedented, massive armed conflict since South Heavenly Gate was established, and the largest in numbers!

Earlier challenges in Zhonghai never reached tens of thousands tearing at each other.

But from tonight onwards, everything would change.

Hongmen and the Green Gang were among Huaxia’s top-notch gang organizations. Conventionally, South Heavenly Gate couldn’t hold them off. But their greatest mistake was initiating an attack on Zhonghai.

The saying goes, a strong dragon cannot suppress a local snake. Besides, the depth of South Heavenly Gate’s roots in Zhonghai is not shallow.

If South Heavenly Gate were defeated in this battle, rising again would be remarkably difficult.

But if South Heavenly Gate were to defeat the Green Gang, then the largest gang in Huaxia would thoroughly crumble.

In the future, within the country, South Heavenly Gate would stand as one of the top gangs!

”I’ve anticipated this battle for a long time. Dominion over Zhonghai from this night onward will be determined by tonight’s outcome.”

Shao Huo licked his lips, cold eyes filled with anticipation but mingled with a trace of worry.

If South Heavenly Gate lost tonight, the last piece of territory in Zhonghai would be devoured by the Green Gang. South Heavenly Gate’s stature in Zhonghai would be utterly defeated.

”Brother Shao, shall I take some men and meet them first?”

At this moment, a member by Shao Huo’s side stepped forward; he was a brother Shao Huo had recruited before, enjoying a strong bond from countless life-and-death encounters. In the world of gangs, who doesn’t have a few unwavering brothers?

”Be cautious, if you encounter someone insurmountable, don’t show off!”

Shao Huo frowned, stepping forward to pat the shoulder of the junior member, his steadfast eyes conveying the message.

Without understanding the opponent’s details, he dared not act recklessly. He was the last defense of South Heavenly Gate’s South District; if Shao Huo fell, the morale and spirit of South Heavenly Gate would be completely shattered.

Everybody wasn’t foolish. South Heavenly Gate was already at such a critical juncture, who would continue to risk their lives without reason?

”Don’t worry. Bald Three, I’ve been with Brother Shao for ages. Which swirling winds and tidal waves haven’t I weathered? I don’t believe anyone from the Green Gang could take me down at first sight.”

The thug named Bald Three laughed heartily twice; Shao Huo had personally cultivated him. Initially, Bald Three was known for his fierce brawls on a street in Zhonghai, notorious as the overlord of xx street!

Once, Shao Huo happened to be drinking there, and they ended up fighting. Shao Huo couldn’t match him, but ultimately risked everything to make Bald Three submit. From that encounter, they often fought together, eventually leading Bald Three to become a close associate of Shao Huo.

”Best be careful. Just probe them for now.”

Shao Huo nodded, signaling Bald Three to advance and investigate whether the Green Gang had arrived.

”Alright~”

Bald Three rubbed his bald head, then swiftly led four or five sturdy men toward the suburbs.

”Here, Brother Shao.”

Someone handed Shao Huo a cigarette, which he lit and smoked slowly...

But not long after Bald Three left, a sudden sniper shot echoed within the barren reed forest of the suburbs!

”Ugh ah!”

A heartrending scream from Bald Three suddenly erupted.

”What!!!”

Shao Huo’s cigarette fell from his hand in shock.

”There’s a sniper! Guard against snipers!”

Shao Huo knew things had gone awry. The sniper sound and his junior member Bald Three’s scream, he could clearly conclude.

The Green Gang and Hongmen’s people had arrived!

”Dada dada... dada dada... dada dada...”

Yet, as soon as Shao Huo realized it, several dozen men armed with black submachine guns popped out of the desolate reed jungle. These men wielded micro-subs, opening errant fire upon Shao Huo and his crew.

”Puff puff puff...” Blood sprayed wildly, merciless bullets sweeping over areas as mist of blood burst forth, anguished cries rose wildly.

Instantly, the entire South Heavenly Gate fell into chaotic steps.
