Urban All-Round Master

Chapter 1506: Chapter 1540: A Terrifying Scene at the Lyerson Hotel

“This is one of the best hotels in Los Angeles, the Ryerson Hotel.”

Soon, Saint Anna personally drove Lin Zifeng around the city of Los Angeles aimlessly for a while before finally bringing him to the entrance of a very luxurious hotel, pointing at it as she introduced the place.

“Uh, Miss Saint Anna, I think you might have misunderstood my itinerary. I’m not here for sightseeing, so please just take me to any hotel,” Lin Zifeng said from inside the car, awkwardly intertwining his fingers, unsure of how to explain to her.

“There’s a banquet on the hotel’s top floor tonight, it’s worth attending,” she said, and began to drive the sports car towards the hotel’s underground parking lot.

“I think you haven’t quite grasped my mood right now,” Lin Zifeng immediately jumped out of the sports car.

“Mr. Lin, I think you’ll really enjoy the banquet tonight,” Saint Anna continued to entice, completely forgetting Lin Zifeng’s urgent matters.

“Sorry. I’m here to find someone, not to join any sort of banquet with you,” Lin Zifeng said, unwilling to collaborate with someone like her under unknown circumstances.

He looked up at the hotel once and indeed, it was impressive. Lin Zifeng didn’t even turn his head and directly walked into the hotel.

“Mr. Lin!”

Saint Anna shouted from behind, but no matter how much she called, Lin Zifeng didn’t intend to turn back. He kept walking towards the hotel.

“Damn!”

Saint Anna gritted her teeth angrily and kicked at the sports car, resulting in her heel breaking. She could only hobble pitifully into the hotel.

“Hello, could you please open a room for me?”

At the front desk, Lin Zifeng presented his ID and passport before getting the room opened.

“Mr. Lin! I think we should maintain a trusting friendship,” Saint Anna said as Lin Zifeng entered the elevator after getting his room key, and she caught up with him.

“What else do you have to say?” Lin Zifeng stared playfully into her blue-green eyes, his face serious as he said, “Miss Saint Anna, you might only know my purpose for being here but don’t understand my mood at this moment. You can hold as many banquets as you want, invite as many people as you want, but I don’t have the mood for it. You don’t understand what it’s like when family leaves you, nor the crisis of not knowing if they’re alive or dead day by day. Maybe the minute of time I waste right now, you know how much of a crisis it poses to the person I need?”

After saying this, Lin Zifeng punched the steel elevator wall, and with a loud boom, the massive force instantly punched a big hole into the elevator wall, the metal deeply caving in.

“Ah!”

Saint Anna closed her eyes in fright, but even without seeing his expression, she could feel his heavy breathing and urgent emotions.

“Sorry. I lost control,” seeing Saint Anna scared out of her wits, Lin Zifeng tried hard to regain his composure. His chest heaving irregularly, clearly a sign of losing control.

Only a few people can make Lin Zifeng lose control of his emotions…

“Is that person very important to you?” calming down, Saint Anna took a deep breath to relieve some of her pressure…

“Yes. Very important,” Lin Zifeng said coldly.

“Your loved one?”

“No,” Lin Zifeng shook his head.

“Your elder sister?”

“No.”

“Your younger sister?”

“Not her either.”

“Your mother?”

“…”

Clang… The elevator opened. He couldn’t be bothered to answer her, turning and leaving the elevator coldly.

“Did I guess wrong?” Saint Anna asked herself, puzzled…

“Mr. Lin, could you tell me who she is to you then?”

At this moment, Saint Anna, unwilling to give up, caught up with him again, leaning flirtatiously against the door. Her plump chest accidentally brushed against his hand as he prepared to open the door. It was quite ample, clearly not overdeveloped…

“A friend,” Lin Zifeng said indifferently.

“Just a friend would make you travel all the way to the United States?”

Saint Anna pouted, clearly a bit skeptical. It was absurd. If he could go this crazy for an ordinary friend, what would happen if it were someone closer to him? Would he become an enemy to the world?

“Didn’t the Federation Bureau inform you of my purpose for coming?” Lin Zifeng said, his tiger eyes glowing with intensity as he stared at her coldly.

Aware that this man’s emotions weren’t great, Saint Anna wisely blinked, “Alright then~”

“Is there anything else you want to know?” Lin Zifeng asked again.

“… Done asking …”

“Since you’ve finished asking, could you please move your body away? I need to go into my room to sleep.” Lin Zifeng pointed at the card reader she was blocking without hesitation…

“Uh…”

Saint Anna awkwardly turned to face the wall, pounding it with a delicate fist, muttering quietly, “Damn! So embarrassing, I really ruined it this time…”

“Creak~”

Lin Zifeng suddenly pushed the room door open from inside again, “Is there anything else?”

“No, nothing,” Saint Anna froze.

“Then please don’t pound on the wall.”

“Bang!”

The door slammed shut heavily, leaving Saint Anna’s perfect Western face utterly stiff, like a petrified beauty, taking a moment to respond…

After returning to his room, Lin Zifeng immediately called Zhang Mengjie to report he was safe, and then sent a message to the Meng Chanji of the Ability Group to ask if the Federation Bureau had indeed sent a woman named Saint Anna to collaborate with him.

Without comprehensive understanding, Lin Zifeng wasn’t fond of this Saint Anna, at least her work attitude was highly displeasing to him.

“Thank you, Master,” after hanging up the call, Lin Zifeng breathed a sigh of relief; the agent sent by the Federation Bureau was indeed Saint Anna, with photographic evidence and data to confirm.

Soon, he opened his portable laptop to search the surrounding map and geographical environment.

But just then, he perked his ears, clearly sensing a very discordant aura flowing in the room… and it was rattling loudly.

“Damn! How could I be so careless?” Lin Zifeng cursed inwardly and quickly put away his laptop, searching the room for the source of that aura. After searching the spacious room without finding it, the target aura was finally traced to the bathroom.

And from the bathroom came the sound of water gushing…

“Whoosh~”

The curtain in the bathroom was torn open, and a sharp cry echoed through the entire room…

“What are you doing here!” Lin Zifeng stared, completely dumbfounded. What on earth was she thinking?

“Hey, could you please leave for a moment? Don’t I have the right to take a bath?”

Saint Anna clenched her legs tightly to prevent revealing the central black area between them, her hands quickly covering the two small buds on her chest, looking up at Lin Zifeng.
