After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1777: Chapter 1781: Does She Really Not Want Us Anymore

”Of course.” The old man on the other end of the phone laughed heartily, ”How could I forget you? I’m truly delighted to receive your call. I’ve heard you’re getting married. Are you calling to invite me to your wedding?!”

”Your information is indeed very timely.”

”It seems this call isn’t an invitation. So, is there something else you need from me so early?”

”Your wisdom always surprises people.” Leng Zimo spoke politely, ”Since you’ve already guessed it, forgive my abruptness. Could you introduce me to the Duke of Kent?”

”The Duke of Kent? Well... of course, there’s no problem, but can you give me a reason?”

”Of course!” Leng Zimo squinted slightly, gazing at the undulating sea outside the window, ”His son is in a very urgent situation, and I must speak with him immediately. This could affect the future of his entire family.”

”Is it that serious?” On the other end of the line, Duke Andre’s voice also carried a deep tone.

Leng Zimo replied affirmatively, ”In fact, it’s more serious than you imagine.”

”Alright then, I’ll call you back in a few minutes.”

”Thank you very much for your help. I’ll wait for your call.” Leng Zimo hung up the phone and gently exhaled a sigh of relief.

The door was gently knocked.

”Come in!” He raised his voice.

The door opened, and Ah Jiu led Luo Jun in by the hand. The little fellow wore a gloomy face, clearly in a bad mood.

”Mo Mo!”

Seeing his son with knitted brows, Leng Zimo silently gritted his teeth in his heart.

Damn that meddling Cobra, damn him to pieces!

Coming over, he held his son’s shoulder, gently hugging him, ”What’s wrong, not happy?!”

Luo Jun lowered his face, his small shoulders shaking slightly as he tried to control his urge to cry. He lifted a face like a porcelain doll, fixing those big eyes on his father’s face, ”Dad, the other kids said that mom... she doesn’t want us anymore. Is it true? Does she really not want us?!”

”How could that be?” Leng Zimo raised his hand to embrace the little head, pressing his face to his son’s, ”How could mom not want us?”

”Then... why doesn’t she want to marry you and left by boat? She... she didn’t even take me with her!” the little fellow asked, sniffling.

How should he answer this question?

To be honest, the child is still too young to understand.

If he lies, how can he smooth over this matter?!

Looking at the watery eyes of the little fellow, Leng Zimo’s heart was full of pain.

Such a matter, he could understand, but for little more than four-year-old Luo Jun, it was truly too difficult.

The adult world is too messed up. How could such a young child possibly understand?

”I’m sorry, Mo Mo, it’s all Daddy’s fault. Daddy made Mommy angry and she left!”

He would rather let Luo Jun misunderstand him than let the child misunderstand Luo Xiaoqian, so he had to take all the blame on himself.

”What did you do?” Luo Jun curiously pursued.

”Daddy... Daddy did something that made Mommy unhappy,” Leng Zimo said softly.

As soon as the little one heard this, he immediately struggled out of his father’s embrace, grabbed his big hand, and started pulling him toward the door, ”Let’s go after her. Let’s take the plane and catch up with her. I’ll help you plead, and so will Grandpa, Godmother, and Uncle Ah Jiu... we’ll all help you plead. Mommy will surely forgive you...”
