After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1753: Chapter 1757: Xu Pei’s Grave

Walking up, Chen Ke patted him on the shoulder, ”Be careful with everything.”

Leng Zirui stood upright with a solemn face, snapping to attention, and saluted him, ”I guarantee to complete the mission.”

Chen Ke slightly furrowed his brow and returned the salute.

Moments later, he finally withdrew his hand.

”Depart!”

”Yes!” Leng Zirui turned and rushed onto the plane.

...

...

The next day.

The sky over Beijing was gloomy, and in the early morning, a drizzling rain began to fall.

Despite the bad weather, many vehicles still arrived outside Changqing Cemetery, led by a black hearse.

Soon, the hearse parked in the cemetery lot. A staff member stepped out holding Xu Fei’s ashes.

After Leng Lin’s efforts and various negotiations, she could finally be laid to rest.

Ah Jiu opened the car door, and Leng Zimo was the first to step out, then assisted his father Leng Lin and Luo Xiaoqian out of the car one after the other.

From the car behind, Huangfu Ruo, Qin Lan, Shen Yizhou and Tong Ya returning from their honeymoon, and Huangfu Ao also got out in succession.

Black umbrellas opened, shielding from the drizzle but not from the misty weather.

Luo Xiaoqian linked her arm with Leng Lin’s, while Leng Zimo and Ah Jiu personally held umbrellas for them and led the way into the cemetery.

Since Xu Fei’s parents were buried here, Leng Zimo specifically purchased a plot here for her, hoping their family could keep each other company.

In the cemetery, Xiao Jie had already brought people ahead, and the grave was already dug.

The staff stepped forward, placing Xu Fei’s urn into the grave, and Leng Lin walked up, crouched down, and slowly placed a few white chrysanthemums he held into her grave, ”Pei girl, uncle didn’t take good care of you, I’m sorry!”

A guard came up to help him aside.

Luo Xiaoqian and Leng Zimo also stepped forward, with Leng Zimo placing a bouquet of white lilies in her grave, and Luo Xiaoqian crouched down and scattered a handful of soil into her grave.

”Sister Xu Pei, thank you... If there’s a next life, I hope we can be good friends.”

Leng Zimo also crouched down and threw a handful of soil into the grave.

”I have established a charity fund in your name. From now on, all your stock earnings will directly go into that fund to help those in need. I didn’t get your approval, I hope you won’t be upset. Zirui couldn’t come due to his duties; when he returns, I’ll bring him to visit you. You know the nature of his work, please don’t hold it against him.”

Then, he helped Luo Xiaoqian to stand up and stepped aside.

The others also stepped forward one by one to offer flowers and soil to Xu Fei.

Seeing everyone had offered their flowers, Ah Jiu stepped forward, ”Sir?!”

Leng Zimo nodded gently, and Ah Jiu gestured to Xiao Jie. Together, they quickly filled the grave, and the pre-prepared tombstone was erected, with the name of the person in the grave inscribed on it—Sister Xu Pei’s Tomb.

Finally, the guard handed the bouquet in his hand to Leng Lin, who placed it in front of Xu Pei’s tomb himself.

The drizzle gradually stopped.

Leng Lin raised his hand to push away the guard’s umbrella, retrieved a handkerchief from his pocket, and carefully wiped the tombstone clean.

”Pei girl, uncle is leaving, in a few days, I’ll come to see you again.”

Everyone descended the hill together; the rain had completely stopped, and a breeze came, dispersing the dark clouds.
