Chapter 545: Chapter 543: Breakthrough in Strength

Ye Yaxin looked somewhat embarrassed, but she still insisted firmly, ”I made this with great difficulty, so even if it tastes bad you have to eat it, or else you’ll just have to go hungry.”

”Ah, right now I really miss the dishes my brother-in-law makes!”

Ye Yashi exclaimed with a look of longing on her face.

”By the way, I wonder if brother-in-law will be back soon, in time for my birthday!”

”You haven’t even told him. How would he know it’s your birthday?”

Ye Yaxin said with a gentle smile.

”Hmm, I’ll give brother-in-law a call tomorrow and let him know.”

Ye Yashi nodded in agreement.

”I wonder what sort of birthday gift brother-in-law will prepare for me?”

Ye Yashi’s eyes shone with reverence as she spoke, while Ye Yaxin glanced at her, a flicker of light in her eyes.

The next day, a new day arrived quickly.

After an unknown amount of time, Xiao Yifeng’s eyes slowly opened, and he regained consciousness.

”Where is this?”

Xiao Yifeng looked around at the unfamiliar surroundings, his eyes full of confusion.

”I’ve actually made a breakthrough!”

Very soon, Xiao Yifeng discovered that his strength had broken through from the Initial Stage of the Gang Qi Realm to the Middle Stage.

The power inside his body had increased tenfold, and it seemed his flesh had become even more formidable. The injuries he had sustained the day before had all healed.

”I’ve finally broken through, that’s great!”

Seeing his own breakthrough, Xiao Yifeng felt a surge of excitement, as progressing a level in his realm was certainly not easy.

It seemed last night’s misfortune had turned into a blessing; despite the severe injuries, his strength had ultimately improved.

”You’re awake; you’ve recovered very quickly!”

At that moment, an old man dressed in coarse hempen clothes walked in, smiling kindly at Xiao Yifeng.

”Who are you?”

Xiao Yifeng gazed at the old man, a hint of confusion flashing in his eyes, and he was inwardly slightly shocked. He couldn’t sense the old man’s presence at all.

Moreover, the old man’s body contained an incredibly strong energy. This elder was definitely a terrifyingly skilled master.

If he hadn’t possessed the ability to see through things with his eyes, he probably wouldn’t have suspected the old man was anything other than an ordinary person, completely oblivious to any aura of a master.

”My name is Asou, the personal housekeeper for the young miss,” said the old man indifferently.

”Housekeeper?”

A look of astonishment flashed through Xiao Yifeng’s eyes. Such a powerful master serving as a housekeeper was indeed very unusual.

”The young miss you mentioned, who is she?”

Xiao Yifeng asked again.

”It was our young miss’s chauffeur who accidentally hit you last night, causing internal injuries in your body. I treated you, but your recovery was very quick. To think that in just one night your body returned to normal, truly impressive!”

The old man said with a smile.

”Grandpa Asou... you’re awake!”

A crisp and pleasant voice rang out. The young girl who had brought Xiao Yifeng home last night walked in, showing a look of surprise upon seeing that Xiao Yifeng was awake.

Xiao Yifeng too was surprised as he looked at the girl.

The girl appeared to be about eighteen or nineteen, with delicate and beautiful features. Her gentle, curving eyebrows were as clear as the moon, and her perky, button nose was small and exquisite.

Her egg-shaped face had a fair complexion with a hint of blush, and her lustrous small mouth paired with sparkling eyes gave her a youthful, beautiful, vibrant, and pure appearance.

This girl’s attractiveness and features were in no way inferior to Ye Yashi, moreover, certain aspects of her were even more perfectly developed.

But Xiao Yifeng had seen plenty of beauties, and although the girl was pretty, she didn’t affect him much. He looked at her and asked, ”Who are you?”

”Hello, my name is Liusheng Yiyi. I’m sorry about last night. My driver didn’t notice and hit you. Seeing you’re okay now, I feel relieved. I was really scared yesterday.”

Liusheng Yiyi said as she spoke.

”It’s okay, it’s not your fault. I should be thanking you for saving me and bringing me back.”

Xiao Yifeng said with a smile.

”By the way, you’re not Japanese, are you? And how did you get injured?”

Liusheng Yiyi looked at Xiao Yifeng with her big, curious eyes.

”I’m Chinese. I got into a bit of trouble in Japan, and that’s how I got hurt.”

”Oh, I see. What’s your name?”

”I’m Xiao Yifeng.”

As Xiao Yifeng spoke, he suddenly remembered something and blurted out, ”Sharira!”

”Are you talking about this?”

At that moment, an elder known as Asou took out the box containing the Sharira.

”Yes, that’s right!”

Xiao Yifeng hurriedly took the box. Upon opening it, he saw the Sharira lying intact inside.

Seeing that the Sharira was still there, Xiao Yifeng also breathed a sigh of relief.

”What is this thing?”

Liusheng Yiyi looked at the Sharira with a curious face.

”If I’m not mistaken, this should be a Sharira from the Buddha Sect of China. You must be the young Chinese master who defeated Cangye Yilang in this year’s elite contest!”

Asou looked at Xiao Yifeng with a trace of a smile on his face as he said this.

”You’re the one who defeated Cangye Yilang? You’re really amazing!”

Liusheng Yiyi’s eyes flashed with a hint of surprise as she looked at Xiao Yifeng.

Xiao Yifeng smiled lightly and nodded, saying, ”Miss Liusheng, may I stay here temporarily? I can pay you.”

”No need, after all, my driver hit you yesterday. You can stay here; it’s the least I can do to compensate you.”

Liusheng Yiyi shook her head.

”Thank you, Miss Liusheng!”

Xiao Yifeng expressed his gratitude, and he wanted to stay there because he was worried about encountering those people from the night before.

After all, since they hadn’t killed him and hadn’t obtained the Sharira, they definitely wouldn’t let things go easily, so he needed to find a place to hide.

Based on his observations, this Liusheng Yiyi was not of simple status, and she had a very powerful protector by her side. Staying here might be safer, and others would have a hard time finding him for the time being.

However, Xiao Yifeng was now worried about Xiao Han and the others, not knowing their condition.

Immediately, Xiao Yifeng took out his phone and called Xiao Han and the others, but no one answered, which made his heart sink slightly, filling him with intense concern.

”What’s wrong?”

Liusheng Yiyi asked, seeing Xiao Yifeng’s furrowed brow.

”I have a few friends whose whereabouts are currently unknown, so I’m a bit worried.”

Xiao Yifeng said in a grave voice.

”You must have been attacked last night, right?”

Asou began speaking again.

Xiao Yifeng nodded.

”Yiyi, who is he?”
