Chapter 525: Chapter 523 The Competition Begins (Seventh Update)

”Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Japan for this Asian Elite Competition. I am Xiao Chuan, the Secretary-General of the Prime Minister of Japan and also the person in charge of this competition,”

a middle-aged man in a suit and tie, exuding an air of official authority, said to everyone present.

”I believe everyone is very enthusiastic about this Elite Competition. It is an opportunity to showcase the strength of our various Asian nations. I hope you’ll give it your all.”

”The country that secures first place in this competition will receive a Buddhist Treasure Sharira provided by Japan. It is said that this Sharira contains boundless power and is a truly rare treasure. I hope you cherish this opportunity,”

the Secretary-General went through a lengthy introduction before finally getting to the main topic.

”There are a total of ten countries participating in this Elite Competition, encompassing fifty contestants. Shortly, someone will assist you in drawing lots to divide you into five teams, with ten people per team. Each team will have duels between two contestants at a time, eventually determining a final victor.”

”Only five winners will remain from the last five teams, and then they will participate in the final competition tomorrow. The individual who finishes first will be the winner of this edition of the Elite Competition, and their representative country will receive the Sharira.”

After explaining the rules, the Secretary-General stepped aside, and someone began to help Xiao Yifeng and the other contestants draw lots to divide into teams.

”Wow, there are so many people!”

At this moment, two figures walked in—it was Kimura Yazi and her bodyguard Keiko.

”Brother Little Feeng!”

Kimura Yazi’s gaze swept over the crowd, and upon spotting Xiao Yifeng, her face lit up with a smile as she ran over.

”Brother Little Feeng!”

Kimura Yazi’s clear and pleasant voice rang in Xiao Yifeng’s ears as he turned to see her approaching him.

”Brother Little Feeng, we meet again.”

Upon reaching Xiao Yifeng’s side, Kimura Yazi grabbed his hand with a laugh.

”Yazi, it’s you!”

Xiao Yifeng recognized Kimura Yazi and responded with a smile on his face.

”No way, Brother Xiao, where did you pick up such a supreme beauty!”

Song Chenbo ogled Kimura Yazi, swallowing hard, while Ou Yanhong flashed a dark look in Xiao Yifeng’s direction.

The contestants from other countries also couldn’t help but light up at the sight of such an extraordinary beauty.

”Young Master, that guy and the woman in white are the ones who seriously injured Master Erlang,”

said a man beside a young man with arrogant bearing, holding a katana, pointing at Xiao Yifeng and Bai Zhixin, to the young man.

This youth was none other than Cangye Yilang, the eldest young master of the Cangye Clan and the brother of Cangye Erlang, the strongest of the five representatives sent by Japan this time.

Cangye Yilang’s gaze swept toward Xiao Yifeng, a cold murderous intent flashing in his eyes, then glanced at Bai Zhixin with a fleeting sinister light.

”Kill the man, and bring the woman back to serve as my slave; that would be fitting,”

intoned Cangye Yilang with a cold demeanor, as though he were an Emperor making life and death decisions from high above, exuding an attitude of supreme arrogance.

And it was his formidable strength that afforded him such arrogance—as the strongest of the young generation in the Cangye Clan, he had ample capital and strength to be haughty.

”Brother Little Feeng, are you here to compete in the contest, too?”

Kimura Yazi inquired, looking at Xiao Yifeng.

”Yes,”

nodded Xiao Yifeng. He had not expected that after encountering Kameda Isao last night, he would run into Kimura Yazi today.

”Then here’s wishing Brother Little Feeng takes first place!”

Kimura Yazi said cheerily, her smile sweet and adorable.

”Alright, I will!”

Xiao Yifeng nodded.

”Now, the results of the draw are out. Please, all contestants, come forward to divide into teams!”

A referee from Japan spoke up, and Xiao Yifeng’s group of five all stepped out and began to divide into teams according to the lots they had drawn.

Soon, five teams were formed, and most participants from the ten countries were dispersed among different teams.

However, two countries were particularly unlucky, as all their representatives ended up on the same team, leaving them no choice but to compete against their compatriots.

Of Xiao Yifeng’s group of five, he and Song Chenbo were on the same team, while Bai Zhixin, Ou Yanhong, and Zhao Yuanzhi each ended up on a team of their own.

Shortly after, the first team drew lots again for one-on-one contests. After twenty minutes, only five out of the ten remained, including Bai Zhixin.

Bai Zhixin was strong. Her first opponent was a young practitioner from Goryeo of the Prime Martial Path, likewise at the peak of the Transformative Energy Stage, and she defeated him with a single move.

In the second round of head-to-head duels, one person got a bye, going straight into the final contest to determine the winner of this team.

Forty minutes later, two figures remained standing on the stage: Bai Zhixin and a young elite from Japan, whose strength had reached the Gang Qi Realm, and who was also a member of the Cangye Clan.

”Beauty, you are the woman our Young Master has set his sights on; I don’t want to fight you. Just give up nicely!”

The man glanced at Bai Zhixin and said.

Whoosh!

A sharp burst of sword light suddenly shot towards him; Bai Zhixin wasted no words and went straight on the offensive.

Bang!

The sword light was too fast. Even though the man had reached the Initial Stage of the Gang Qi Realm, he couldn’t resist and was beaten instantly, while Bai Zhixin advanced successfully to the finals tomorrow.

”Interesting!”

Cangye Yilang watched Bai Zhixin with a villainous smile appearing at the corner of his mouth, a sharp gleam flashing in his eyes.

”Impressive!”

After returning to her seat, Xiao Yifeng looked at her and smiled with admiration.

”Kid, take a good look and learn what a true strong one is!”

At that moment, it was Ou Yanhong’s turn to take the stage. He glanced disdainfully at Xiao Yifeng and snorted coldly before walking over.

Quickly, the second team’s ten people began their one-on-one duels, with the first four pairs concluding their battles swiftly.

The last pair to fight was Ou Yanhong against Cangye Yilang.

On seeing Cangye Yilang, Ou Yanhong’s eyes narrowed slightly as he felt the sharp aura emanating from his opponent, his gaze flickering.

Xiao Yifeng couldn’t suppress a smile upon seeing Cangye Yilang.

”That guy from Japan doesn’t seem so easy to deal with, huh?”

Song Chenbo glanced at Cangye Yilang and commented.

”That’s Cangye Yilang, the Cangye Clan’s Young Master and the strongest among their younger generation. His power is formidable,”

Xiao Han informed them.

”No way, looks like Ou Yanhong is going to be slapped in the face.”

Song Chenbo couldn’t help but remark.
