Daddy Always Gets Jealous

Che Huan sat there, scrolling through Mr. Huo’s Weibo on her phone, reading the comments below, oblivious to the car beside her.

Uncle Lu stood at the school gate, glanced at the time, twenty minutes to go, then looked back at the madam in the car, completely failing to notice his boss’s car or to go over and remind him.

Huo Jinnan approached and handed the car keys he had to Uncle Lu.

Realizing his mistake, Uncle Lu switched keys and headed towards the black Bentley, quickly driving away.

Huo Jinnan stood at the school entrance, watching the little guy running out with his backpack, completely missing him, heading straight for the Rolls-Royce. Catching up, Huo lifted him up by the backpack, hoisting him halfway into the air.

The little guy turned his head and saw Huo Jinnan, ”You... you came too?”

Huo Jinnan didn’t speak, just helped the kid adjust his backpack.

The little guy glanced at him, Huo Jinnan was acting unusually today.

Just then, an untimely voice was heard, ”Huo Minhan, your uncle came to pick you up?”

Qin Ruosu’s heart ”thumped” wildly as her upper lip covered her lower lip while she watched Huo Jinnan.

”Hello, Uncle.”

Huo Jinnan looked down at Qin Ruosu, ”Hello.”

Qin Ruosu stood there, sneaking a peek at the uncle who really did have legs as long as an Oppa, even taller than her, ”I’m Yuanyuan, the Yuanyuan that means smooth and round.”

”Mmm.”

Huo Jinnan glanced over, showing little interest.

Qin Ruosu felt a bit hurt, thinking about Aunt Fang Tong, who seemed to be vying with Aunt Huanhuan for the father, ”Uncle, that Fang Tong is really annoying.”

Huo Jinnan’s eyes briefly swept over Qin Ruosu.

Qin Ruosu silently cheered, ”Uncle, let’s form an alliance. In the future, I’ll help Auntie deal with that little female cousin.”

”...”

Huo Jinnan’s brows lightly furrowed, are today’s little girls so aggressive?

The little one glanced over, clearly coveting Huo Jinnan for his good looks and coming up with such excuses.

He took Huo Jinnan’s hand, and with visible displeasure, said, ”Dad, let’s go.”

Qin Ruosu smiled adorably, waving, ”Little cousin, Uncle, goodbye.”

”It’s up to you then, goodbye.”

Huo Jinnan murmured softly, leading the little one by the hand towards the Rolls-Royce nearby.

Qin Ruosu stood there, watching Huo Jinnan’s retreating figure with lingering affection, taking a long while before realizing she had forgotten to ask for his phone number again, stamping her feet and running towards her car.

The little guy looked back, feeling relieved when he saw her leave, then looked up at Huo Jinnan, ”Remember to wear sunglasses when you come to pick me up next time.”

Huo Jinnan ignored the little one, went to the driver’s side, opened the door, got into the car, and glanced silently at Che Huan still staring at her phone, starting the car without a word.

The little one sat down beside Che Huan, buckling his seatbelt, ”Huanhuan, what are you looking at?”

When Che Huan heard the little one, she snapped back to reality and hurriedly closed Weibo! The content she had just seen ignited her fury!

Looking at the little one, she apologized, ”Sorry, Xiaowei, Huanhuan promised to wait for you at the school gate.”

”Forget it, Huanhuan, you should just wait for me in the car from now on.” Xiaowei thought about the few naughty boys in class saying that Huanhuan was pretty, like a first love, and he felt a strong sense of discomfort.

Che Huan pinched Xiaowei’s cheek, sat up straight, then glanced at the figure in front, and was momentarily stunned, was she seeing things?

”Lu...Lu...”

”What are you looking at so intently?” Huo Jinnan asked with a low, magnetic voice as he steered the wheel.
