Heir of Synthesis: The World Mage

Not long after Priam entered the room, Orlaith slowly opened the door, her expression heavy. But...

Her body and soul froze.

The entire room was filled with a dense emerald-green aura. Just breathing was enough to make all her pores open and leave her feeling numb.

It was the purest nature energy she had ever felt in her life!

It was only natural. That came from a complete and perfect Pristine Core.

But that was not the most shocking thing. Her eyes fixed on Priam, at the corner of the bed.

At that moment, he was radiating a bright golden aura. Just by looking at him, her instincts went on alert, as if that was something that should not exist.

Besides, her senses could not capture any of it. Her eyes and instincts were captivated, but to her senses, it was as if it did not exist... in other words, the level of that power emanating from Priam was far, far above what a simple Mage like her could perceive.

”You came at a good time,” Priam said without turning around, waking her from her daze. ”I’ll need help. Could you lend me about 3 Elders? I want their Ether.”

Orlaith swallowed hard, but quickly nodded, taking out an emblem. Without delay, she summoned the Grand Elder and 2 others she trusted.

When the Elders arrived, Priam only had five seconds to point at his mother and say:

”Send your Ether, gently, into her meridians...”

[Manifestation of Heaven’s Will was deactivated]

After that, he completely passed out.

***

Hours passed. Days.

On the third day...

Seien slowly opened her eyes.

Her green eyes emitted a crystalline glow as her vision slowly began to focus.

”Hmm?”

She was stunned when she noticed Boey and Flaris’s faces.

Feeling a weight, she looked to the side of the bed. There, she saw her son with his torso stretched over the bed, sleeping deeply.

*Crack*

Suddenly, a muffled sound echoed from inside Priam.

Everyone was suddenly startled by it.

At the same time, Flaris and Boey turned toward him, activating Ether in their stunned eyes.

Priam’s whole body began to emit a subtle golden aura, like a small flame. That...

”Did he break through?” Flaris murmured, stunned.

Basically, to break through to a Mage Disciple, all meridians had to be dilated and stabilized to the maximum.

Priam had been at the ninth level for some time. But without realizing it, with all his effort healing his mother, along with the fights and problems he had gone through recently, his body had been heavily stimulated by Ether, so he broke through automatically.

Now, Priam had officially become a Disciple at the elementary level.

At that second, after that sudden internal change, Priam also woke up.

He took a deep breath, pulling the Ether that had leaked from his body back into himself. In seconds, everything returned to normal.

He understood what had happened and snorted. Only then did he turn his attention back to his mother, who was watching him in absolute silence, still without reacting.

She looked stunned, trying to decipher what she saw in her son’s eyes.

But Priam only gave her a faint smile.

That was because he was shocked by the complete physical change in his mother.

Now, if anyone from Earth saw her, they would say they were standing before one of those beautiful young elves from fantasy tales. The wrinkles on her face and her worn-out expression had completely disappeared. It was as if she had been physically reborn.

Her pointed ears framed her silver hair, which, together with her delicate features, gave her an enchanting beauty. But it was not just that. On her arms, legs, and even her face, some emerald-green marks now glowed, similar to tattoos.

That was the nature technique Priam had obtained from the Pristine Wild-Spirits, made to make it easier to control and nourish the body through nature energy. He had created it in her, where it acted automatically while she slept, just to make sure nothing would happen to her.

Those marks made Seien’s appearance even more mystical.

”Are you feeling well?” Priam asked, his voice soft.

”Son... husband... little girl...” she murmured, looking at the three around her, still in a trance. ”I-I feel much better.”

Everyone smiled. The relief was so great that the other two beside her could barely hold back their sobs.

As for Priam... he took a deep breath, closing his eyes for an instant.

’I did it...’

At that second, all the emotion he had been repressing overflowed. It was not only because he had saved his mother. It was the weight of all the pain and fear from his recent failure, mixing together inside him.

’Shit... all I can feel is guilty...’

There was no happiness. Because just by closing his eyes, the scene of those hundreds of defenseless people dead tormented him.

Priam squeezed his eyes shut.

”!”

He opened his eyes, caught by surprise by a warm and soft hug.

”Son... I’m sorry,” her voice, still a little fragile, sounded close to his ear.

Priam trembled. He felt as if all the chaos and anguish inside him were being washed and purified by that hug from her.

He swallowed hard, feeling her hand rest on his head, gently stroking his hair with affection.

”You can cry. You went through a lot.”

Her gentle voice entered him as if removing an ancient seal. She seemed to know exactly how heavy the burden he carried was, helping him finally release everything he had been holding in.

Tears began to flow out of control, and his face twisted in silent crying.

...

After some time, Priam returned to his room and slept deeply for a little longer.

His mother was now free of any curse. Her physical condition seemed like that of someone who had always been healthy her whole life.

The intact Pristine Core was truly shocking.

...

The next day. When the sun was at the center of the sky, Priam woke up, finally feeling renewed.

Fortunately, he had not had a nightmare. Despite the pain in his chest when he remembered everything, he truly felt renewed now.

He sat on the bed, taking a deep breath.

[System was updated after the advancement]

[Several new options and functions were acquired]

He smiled as he read those notifications. So, for him to gain new things, he only needed to advance his Rank. It was simpler than he had imagined.

But he did not focus on that immediately, because he felt it would take a long time to evaluate everything.

First, he looked inside his Nexus Seed. There were thousands of small Bloodline runes there, corrupted by the curse of the laws of the world.

”Now that I broke through, I can make a second Bloodline Rune!”

He thought carefully. It would be better to go to that sect already with this new Bloodline. But where would he find something good enough in the Mortal Plane?

However, his mother’s Bloodline came from a race that even the Sovereigns had wanted to exterminate. So, this was the best choice.

This Bloodline was strange. It was known for not mixing with others, being submissive and disappearing, even though it was so ancient and powerful. So much so that Priam had not inherited it.

But even if Priam had not been born with it, he was still the son of his mother, a legitimate Cursed Forest Elf. So his body should adapt to it well.

”...this curse will have to come along. Well... no point thinking too much. Whatever happens, happens.”

For some reason, Priam felt that this curse could not harm him at all. So he did not care and moved his own Bloodline into the Nexus Seed.

He had to take almost 90% of his Bloodline to have an amount equivalent to what he had gained from his mother.

He now felt that he had the ability to synthesize everything, even if it was an immense amount. The result would be a single Bloodline rune, but absurdly pure and dense. Something that almost no Mage had in their body.

[Synthesize?] [Yes / No]

”Yes!”
