Heir of Synthesis: The World Mage

The young demon waved his hand sharply.

With a flash, he pulled a long spear from his spatial ring. The weapon was black as pitch. Dark lightning crackled furiously along its entire shaft.

Consumed by the blind hatred of being humiliated in front of his subordinates, the young demon burst into motion.

He charged at Priam with all of his physical strength.

Priam frowned.

He turned and waved his hand using his Ether.

The invisible impact pushed Luvinah away, taking her directly out of the line of fire.

Right after that, Priam leaped head-on into the attack.

Black lightning slithered through the air like hungry, destructive serpents.

But Priam simply ignored it.

Channeling all of his vital energy directly into his fists, he activated Blood-Feast Fists. His hands exploded with a predatory and violent crimson glow.

Meanwhile, Luvinah, who had been thrown backward, crashed heavily onto the frozen ground.

Dazed and with her heart pounding in her throat, she remained sitting there.

She couldn’t even gather the strength to stand up.

Her multicolored eyes were completely widened with fear.

Yet she couldn’t take her eyes off Priam.

*BOOOM!!!*

The collision between Priam’s crimson fists and the demonic spear lasted only a fraction of a second.

But the impact it generated was terrifying.

The black lightning surrounding the weapon dissipated instantly, like smoke before an apocalyptic gale.

The nearly three-meter-long spear was brutally crushed beneath the punch.

The metal shaft bent violently in the air, taking on the shape of a distorted crescent moon.

The young demon’s body was shaken by an overwhelming and merciless physical force.

The next moment, he was slammed into the ground like a meteor.

*BOOOOM!!!*

The massive explosion made the entire earth tremble.

Around them, the demons watched with wide eyes, frozen in disbelief.

However, despite seeing their Young Master humiliated again and again, none of them seemed truly worried.

In fact, they were relieved.

This humanoid was undoubtedly some big shot they couldn’t afford to kill. The fact that he could defend himself had bought them time.

The leader of the demonic clan had already been informed of everything and was already moving pieces behind the scenes to try and resolve this problem.

Besides, they had formed a perfect military encirclement.

Many of those present were Ninth-Level Disciples. To them, Priam was still nothing more than a rat trapped inside an iron cage.

There wasn’t the slightest chance of him escaping.

Priam used the violent recoil of the impact to flip backward.

He landed heavily, planting his feet into the ground near Luvinah.

His breathing was short, rapid, and ragged.

In those few brutal exchanges, he had already burned through nearly fifty percent of his total energy.

It looked as though he had completely crushed his opponent.

But in exchange for all that, he had only managed to wound the demon’s pride and cause some superficial damage to his flesh.

He knew perfectly well that he was at his absolute limit.

Before leaving the clan, Priam had prepared this power rune specifically for emergencies.

It was called the Evil Armor Rune.

Unlike the Feral Berserker Rune he had used years ago, this new one didn’t burn his precious vital energy. His own Magic Art already consumed his life force, and having two abilities drawing from the same energy source would be suicide through sheer inefficiency.

This new rune had the ability to force Ether to bind directly to muscle fibers. It was like replicating the raw power of a Physical Mage.

It drastically reinforced the toughness of his skin and multiplied the explosive power of his limbs. That was the advantage Physical Mages had over other classes of mages.

Inside the Jade Core of every mage class, Ether was supplied and circulated in a completely different way.

But in this case, Priam had become a Physical Mage with raw power several times greater than someone at his level. Combined with Blood-Feast Fists, Priam became a true monster in close-range combat.

It was exactly this technical combination that had allowed him to dominate the initial exchanges against an opponent of a much higher level.

But he wasn’t foolish.

If this fight dragged on for a few more minutes, he would die.

Fortunately, his real objective had never been to win this battle directly.

”ARGHHHHH!!”

A guttural scream, torn from his throat and filled with insane hatred, escaped the young demon.

Black lightning began crackling violently around his body.

A heavy and oppressive wave of power spread across the battlefield.

”Boy... you... you’re going to bitterly regret ever being born!”

The demon’s complexion darkened into a sickly shade as he ground his teeth.

His eyes were completely bloodshot.

*Riiip!*

The black electricity roared with the fury of a wild beast.

Following his furious roar, the ethereal image of a massive lightning serpent came to life.

It slithered swiftly along the curved shaft of his spear.

In an instant, the weapon transformed into a sinister beast made entirely of destructive lightning.

It stretched its dark, razor-sharp fangs toward Priam’s chest.

Internally, the young demon was panicking. Being defeated in front of his subordinates and elders was an eternal humiliation he could not bear.

He wasn’t holding back anymore.

He was using every drop of his power to erase Priam’s existence from the map.

Faced with the all-out, lethal attack, Priam did something that surprised every observer.

Instead of pushing Luvinah away again, he took a firm step backward.

Then he moved even closer to her.

”Is he drawing the attack directly toward both of them?”

The demons muttered thoughtfully.

Priam took a deep breath.

He closed his eyes for a brief moment.

Around him, wind-element runes suddenly lit up like fireflies amid the chaos.

They illuminated the darkness with a pale, mystical, and serene glow.

”DIE!”

The demon’s roar sounded like the very cry of the end of the world.

Luvinah held her breath.

She watched that titanic mass of black lightning charge relentlessly toward Priam.

*Sky-Rending Wind!*

Suddenly, a devastating cutting storm erupted from Priam’s body with a violent roar.

It was his ultimate wind technique, perfectly manifested at Stage 4.

He drove his fists forward.

**BANG!**

The clash made the demons surrounding them lose their breath.

They couldn’t believe what they were seeing with their own eyes.

Even with all the desperate power of their Young Master, the attack had been blocked head-on by a mere Acolyte.

*BOOOOOOM!!!*

The next second, the young demon was blasted away like a falling meteor.

He was launched backward with utterly absurd kinetic force.

He tore through the air at high speed and crashed violently into the very army maintaining the encirclement.

The impact exploded against the solid ground right in the middle of his own soldiers.

An extremely dense cloud of dust and debris instantly rose into the air.

The dark cloud completely obscured everyone’s vision across the battlefield.

And in that exact split second of collective blindness...

Luvinah felt a firm, warm hand grab her arm with absolute urgency.

The next moment, the world around her was completely swallowed by powerful, rushing winds.

It was exactly the same sensation she had felt a little earlier.
