The Darling of Heaven Owns a Rip-off Shop

In front is Monkey Mountain.

There is a stone tablet by the road, with these two characters written on it. Next to the stone tablet, there’s a small stall, set up by disciples of the Fenglan Sect. The stall has fruits, corn, and steamed buns.

These aren’t for humans to eat, but for tourists to buy and feed the monkeys. Children want to interact closely with the monkeys? Sure, come buy a little something for the monkeys, they will like you very much.

Tianmiao and the others saw many adults with their children feeding the monkeys as they walked along.

Obviously, the monkeys here are not afraid of humans and thoroughly enjoy this ”hand-to-mouth” feeding, each holding fruits, corn, and steamed buns, eating with great relish. Naturally, since they are eating from others, their attitude is very amiable, letting the kids touch their heads and hold their hands.

”The Fenglan Sect really knows how to make money.” Kong Hou remarked as they looked at another small stall in front of Squirrel Forest, selling hazelnuts.

”Yes, so as you pass through these forests, there will be small stalls selling things that the animals like to eat. It facilitates close contact between the tourists and the little animals.” Tianmiao laughed as well, ”This Sect Master is a very interesting person.”

”Miss, would you like to buy some hazelnuts to feed the cute little squirrels? They love to store up food. If you buy some for them, they’ll dig a hole to hide them. Really adorable!” A Fenglan Sect disciple in front of the stall saw Tianmiao and her group and called out to them.

”How much does it cost?” Kong Hou casually asked.

Tianmiao squatted down to tease a small squirrel that had stopped by the stall.

”Not expensive, not expensive, ten coins for three bags. Miss, if you buy hazelnuts, the little squirrels will get close to you.” The disciple suggested with a smile when he saw Tianmiao squatting on the ground teasing the squirrels, but was stunned by what he saw next.

Several squirrels ran up to Tianmiao, each holding hazelnuts with their little front paws, eagerly trying to stuff them into her hands.

The disciple was full of questions; was he seeing things? He had been stationed at this stall for two or three years now, and he knew these little creatures’ behavior well. They only take, never give, cunning as they are, always using their cuteness to trick hazelnuts out of tourists, then quickly scampering back to the forest. He had never seen these little creatures give their hoarded food to someone before.

But today, he was witnessing it.

And it wasn’t just a few, but several, all eagerly offering hazelnuts to this young lady.

Could there really be someone who animals like this much?

These little rascals, sometimes he even sneakily gives them extra nuts, yet they are not close to him at all, it’s outrageous!

”Haha, perhaps they’re afraid I don’t have anything to eat, so they’re giving their food to me? Such kind and adorable little squirrels.” Tianmiao stroked the nearest squirrel, and the other squirrels immediately crowded in, also asking for pets.

Kind? Adorable? Adorable, yes, but kind? No way! These little creatures are so cunning, many people have bought hazelnuts hoping to pet them, only for their hands to never even touch a single hair.

Yet now they’re eagerly offering their stash of food, even more eager for a pet.

It’s truly incredible.

The behavior of the monkeys on Monkey Mountain isn’t surprising, but seeing this phenomenon in Squirrel Forest is quite astonished.

Who exactly is this young lady?

”Miss, may I be so bold as to ask who you are?” The Fenglan Sect disciple couldn’t help but ask.

”A loose cultivator. Came here after hearing so much about it, and the Fenglan Sect truly lives up to its name.” Tianmiao finished petting the squirrels surrounding her one by one, then stood up.
